January 2018 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Umdtourguide", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it implies shared use, as it represents a position at the college that more than one person can hold or have as a job or title. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing this form, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 19:16, 25 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Please disregard edit

Hi there! I saw that your username was problematic and I placed a soft block on your account so that you could have it renamed. However, I noticed that you're a student in a course and having you blocked would disrupt your ability to complete assignments, so I went ahead and removed the block. Just take note of the notice I left above regarding your username; we typically don't allow usernames that are of positions within companies or organizations (so, "UMD Tour Guide" would be disallowed). However, since you're just performing coursework, I don't anticipate that there will be any problems. Please let me know if you have any questions and I'll be happy to answer them. Cheers - ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 05:24, 11 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
