Three of the articles you created - the venerables are now blessed edit

Hi, just a heads up concerning User:SkierRMH/Articles I Created, which I found through "what links here" after moving an article. Three of your venerables have been Blessed since 1987, and John Woodcock (Venerable) has been moved to John Woodcock (martyr). You might want to update your page to reflect that. Cheers. Hi! I've seen you around on Nickel Creek related articles... Would you consider becoming a member of WikiProject Nickel Creek, a WikiProject which aims to expand and improve coverage of Nickel Creek on Wikipedia?

Just wondering if you wanted to join! If not, that's okay! Thamusemeantfan 06:00, 28 June 2007 (UTC) Reply

Havana mambo edit

I have removed the speedy deletion tag from this article. The fact that they have been on national tours asserts their notability, and so I would reccomend, should you still believe the band to be non notable, you take it to AfD, as it is un-speediable. J Milburn 11:50, 1 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Templating The Adam Carolla Show talk page, and Talk:The Adam Carolla Show: Former characters and featured segments edit

Hi!

Thanks for templating Talk:The Adam Carolla Show: Former characters and featured segments as "part of wikiproject: television shows".

I confess that as a Wiki editor, I don't yet fully understand the templating of talk pages as part of wikiprojects; though i am endeavouring to learn, and your contribution has certainly spurred my interest.

There are two issues I'd like to inform you of, and I know that with your knowledge, you'll be able to help me find remedy. (This is not an urgent matter).

1. You placed a template at the top of Talk:The Adam Carolla Show: Former characters and featured segments. Firstly, thanks for validating the new page I created by blessing it with a wikiproject template! However, may I respectfully point out that The Adam Carolla Show is a radio program, and not a television program. (I believe you assigned it to a wikicategory having to do with television programs.)

Please take this in the spirit in which it's intended: Gratitude!

2. You've drawn my attention to wikicategories and associated templates. May I point out that The Adam Carolla Show's primary Talk page doesn't include a wikicategory -- would you think it a good idea to do so there? (If I may clarify myself, Talk:The Adam Carolla Show: Former characters and featured segments is a spin-off page I created due to the main The Adam Carolla Show page growing too large.

Again, thanks for your involvement -- you clearly are more knowledgeable about wikicategory templates than I, and I am happy to learn by your example.

If you have any questions and if I can help toward our mutual goal, please don't hestitate to contact me on my own talk page, or the talk pages of The Adam Carolla Show or its spinoffs.

Thanks!

Re: References tag on Herman Frank article edit

Hi! I noticed the tag on the article about Herman Frank. I made a note on Talk:Herman Frank. If you don't mind, would you look at it an see if what I suggest would make the article sufficiently sourced? This is just a request as it seems to me I would have to devote quite some time if I want to learn all Wikipedia guidelines about reliable sources. If you're already into it and can give a quick response, it'd be appreciated.--Odd M. Nilsen 13:43, 6 July 2007 (UTC) Reply

Novel article edit

Don't forget that when tagging novel and prose related articles the project tag should not be WPNOVELS but should be {{NovelsWikiProject}} thanks. :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 14:40, 10 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Only that the second is the official wikiproject banner. Particularly when searching for the banner string it is useful to know what to look for. In fact why do we have two redirects to NovelsWikiProject.

Oh yas and when running bots or scripts to add banners they can duplicate. :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 16:17, 10 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Monobook in unassessed films edit

It's due to changes that have been made in User:Outriggr/metadatatest.js. Outrigger is no longer hard coding project templates and is requiring users of his script to put empty templates in a variable on their monobook.js page in order for the script to use them.

Incidentally, I just noticed that his example uses nowiki tags, and I have added them to my monobook page, which should fix the problem --PhantomS 05:09, 12 July 2007 (UTC) Reply

Rationales for book covers edit

Thanks,. Any chance of looking through the categories the ones I'd flagged up were in? I'd only tagged some sample ones in those categories, and would appreciate someone reviewing the whole of the releavant categories ShakespeareFan00 12:20, 12 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Robot Chicken Star Wars: Toshi Station Strippers edit

Luke enjoys the Toshi Station strippers - "The Power Converters". The implication being that when Luke said to Uncle Owen, "but I have to go to Toshi station to pick up some power converters" that this was a subtle code or ruse for him to secretly go pick up some strippers behind his uncle's back.
Just thought you'd apreciate this...--Dr who1975 00:43, 15 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale edit

Great work on adding fair use rationales. I thought that you might be interested in the list of album covers with disputed fair use claim and the list of album covers without fair use rationale. Regards, Jogers (talk) 11:36, 15 July 2007 (UTC) Reply

Doctor Who book covers edit

Thanks ever so much for adding the fair use rationales to them all! I did a few of mine, but got sidetracked with other stuff. Was going to drag out all my copies of the books and photograph the covers myself. If that would have even helped. Anyway, much danke-ness! :) -Ebyabe 15:05, 19 July 2007 (UTC) Reply

Hardy Boys book covers edit

Thanks for adding the FURs to my Hardy Boys book cover images! That ought to keep the deletionists at bay for at least the short term. :) --GentlemanGhost 10:35, 21 July 2007 (UTC) Reply

Re: possibility of "borrowing" bot - or a request for lists edit

I don't actually use a bot to make these lists but AWB. As I can see you on the check page I assume that you already used the software. Making the lists is quite easy. You can make a list of pages from a category or another source and filter it to find a union or an intersection with another list (like in list6 and list7). You can also filter out titles that contain or don't contain specified regular expression (list4 and list5). For list1 and list2 I used the database scanner. The possibilities are countless. There are two ways to go now. I can give you detailed instructions on how to create the lists in AWB or I can create them for you. Both ways I'll be more than happy to help.

The amount of great work you do on Wikipedia continues to amaze me. Your dedication is appreciated! Jogers (talk) 11:09, 16 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yes, do a list from the second category first, save it to a text file and then open it in the "set operations" section of the filter window (once you have the first list opened in the AWB). Jogers (talk) 14:57, 16 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

I figured out a way to update list4, list6 and list7 with a single click. I'm working on the same thing for other maintenance lists too. It wouldn't be too difficult to tweak this for films. Are you interested? Jogers (talk) 11:32, 22 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

And I'll be more happy to see you clearing maintenance lists than creating them :-) What shall we start with? Film posters with disputed fair use claim or no rationale? Jogers (talk) 16:10, 22 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
All right then. Give me some time to set everything up. Jogers (talk) 22:47, 22 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
Here you are: film posters, DVD covers and book covers. New sections will be added regularly by bot when I'm around. This should be everyday most of the time but I'm going on vacation the day after tomorrow. Please do not remove "<!-- next update below this line -->" comments. The bot will use them. Happy editing :-) Jogers (talk) 15:08, 23 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
P.S. I didn't test the script extensively so please let me know in case of any problems. Jogers (talk) 15:11, 23 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re: User:Jogers/List4 edit

Good work. I've moved the ones you left to the list of exceptions. Jogers (talk) 10:28, 23 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
