Suzy Loftus edit

Hello ElpenorsGhost. Do you have any connection (e.g. personal, financial, or employment) to the subject of this article? If so, you need to read this page and this one very carefully and follow the guidelines and policies on those pages scrupulously. I have to say that the current article reads like a campaign advertisement. Voceditenore (talk) 10:38, 2 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Me again. Thank you very much for declaring your paid editing on Karen Hanrahan. I note that you asked for deletion of Suzy Loftus, a wise decision as the notability is so marginal that it would probably not survive an AfD. However, if you intend to re-write the article, be sure to make the appropriate declarations and before you start, read WP:POLITICIAN which outlines the notability requirements for politicians.
On a more general note. The goals of your employer (an "advocate of advancing women both in electoral politics and in the workplace") are admirable ones. But paying for articles on Wikipedia is not the way to go about this. The results are almost invariably puff-pieces that pretty much shout "this article was paid for." Such articles actually detract from the subject's image rather than enhancing it. Trust me, I have long experience in dealing with paid and conflict of interest editing, although largely in the classical music area. You will notice that I have extensively edited Karen Hanrahan to make it neutral and encyclopedic in tone.
I also suggest you alert Ms. Mesloh to WikiProject Women in Red, a group of volunteer editors committed to improving the coverage of notable women on Wikipedia. She can request an article at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Women in Red. If the project members take it on, the resulting article will be (1) free and (2) neutrally written in appropriate encyclopedic style and tone. Best wishes, Voceditenore (talk) 10:37, 3 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
