About VIP terminal

Kia ora, Sheldybett. I have declined the speedy deletion of that article. Legacy computing stuff like that may well have off-line paper-based sources to back up assertions of notability. The only external link in the article as it currently is is to a fandomish old computer wiki. In this edit it appears that you may be referring to that particular wiki as "as an article about a website, blog, web forum, webcomic, podcast, browser game, or similar web content that does not credibly indicate the importance or significance of the subject" instead of the article itself. Have I made a mistake here? Please tell me if I have. Pete AU aka --Shirt58 (talk) 11:11, 20 February 2019 (UTC)--Shirt58 (talk) 11:11, 20 February 2019 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Hon Kate Jones.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Hon Kate Jones.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 12:56, 23 February 2019 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Hon Kate Jones.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Hon Kate Jones.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:40, 24 February 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of 2019 Australia package plot

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on 2019 Australia package plot requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2019/1/8/1824597/-Overnight-News-Digest-January-8-2019. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. signed, Rosguill talk 23:40, 4 March 2019 (UTC)

Why is the article Hortencio Pereira for Deletion?

Hi, I created my Article Hortencio Pereira that you put up for deletion. The reason the Article is under sourced is because you won't find much articles online about Actors from Goa. This is the only major source I can say "Tiatr Academy Goa". The rest are articles and Interviews covered by newspapers. --Tiatr.lover (talk) 10:39, 12 March 2019 (UTC)

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for persistently making disruptive edits. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 13:25, 5 April 2019 (UTC)
  • You have been told about the proposal for a topic ban from AFD closes and relists, and I clearly told you here to keep away from such AFD activities until the discussion reaches a decision. You totally ignored that, ignored the topic ban discussion, and carried on closing and relisting AFDs. If you won't stop at least until we know the outcome of the discussion, then you have to be stopped, so that is what I have done. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 13:30, 5 April 2019 (UTC)

Please note there is now an alternative proposal at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#Alternative proposal...

If you have any comments you wish to make in that discussion, please make them here and I (or someone else) will copy them across for you.

One other suggestion, which I know has been made before... It takes a lot of time, experience, and learning of relevant policies, plus a willingness to listen and discuss things, in order to be able to do clerking and admin-like things. And those who dive into it almost as soon as they register an account rarely do well at it. The usual way to gain the necessary understanding and experience is to work on our actual encyclopedia articles, and I strongly suggest you consider that as an alternative. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 14:04, 5 April 2019 (UTC)

  • I also want to respond to your comment "I’am embarrassed to see my AfD closures/relistings to be discussed to put a topic ban on me at stupid ANI. Why people do that to me? Because, you make me hurt my feelings.'" I feel bad for you too, and nobody wants to hurt your feelings. And it's not because of any desire to do something to you. But the key thing of importance here is that you keep on making mistakes at AFD, often the same kind of mistakes over and over again. That's disruptive, and we simply have to find a way to stop it. Multiple people have tried explaining things to you and tried to get you to understand, but they have got nowhere - you have been uncommunicative and have just carried on making the same mistakes. When that continues to happen, something has to be done - and when an editor is unresponsive to attempts to address the problems, the only things we have left are blocks and bans. It's not personal, and nobody doubts your good will - you just don't seem able to do the AFD job properly, that's all. Sorry. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 14:57, 5 April 2019 (UTC)
Thats okay, least I said "If I was topic banned from AfD and other deletion areas, I would move on to somewhere else such as WP:AIV, WP:UAA, and WP:RFPP for a change or I just shall quit Wikipedia for good." I'am not actually shifting problems elsewhere which I did some good work on WP:RFPP and WP:AIV, since I live in New Zealand that my main subject is New Zealand related articles which I have done some work and even nominated the article for WP:ITN. Sheldybett (talk) 02:59, 6 April 2019 (UTC)

Per this discussion, you've been topic banned from clerking in any admin-related area. This includes a wide range of activities, so if you're not sure, I suggest you ask an administrator before performing an action that might be construed as clerking, such as a non-admin closure. This is indefinite, and you can appeal no earlier than in six months from today. If you make an unblock request, you can possibly end this block early. Consider what people said in the noticeboard discussion, read this guide, and follow the instructions in the block template above about {{unblock}}. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 16:10, 6 April 2019 (UTC)

Request reason:

I would like to request an unblock because I'am sorry about the AfD closing/relisting incidents that lead me having an indefinite topic ban, due to this I will move on to focusing on my subjects other topics relating to New Zealand politics and Film for a change for once. Best regards.Sheldybett (talk) 08:46, 7 April 2019 (UTC)

Accept reason:

The block was only for the duration of the topic ban discussion, and now that it is completed and a topic ban enacted, I'm happy to unblock. I hope you enjoy working around New Zealand politics and Film topics - working on actual content is by far the best way to gain experience. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 10:40, 7 April 2019 (UTC)

Sheldybett, I think you should consider this whole incident a warning about your general pattern of disruptive behaviour: you are actually lucky to get off with just a TBAN and a short block, and if you continue to WP:HOUND the editors you believe "got you in trouble", you can likely expect the next block to be much longer.
