HelloEdit

Hi! I see you started your account here in 2004! But did not do any edits for a looo...ooong time, becoming somewhat active only in March this year! That's interesting. Where do you stay now? Regards.--Dwaipayan (talk) 11:49, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

talk pages and uk taxationEdit

Hi you moved my comment here. [1] . I am not sure if this was your intention or not. It is considered bad practice to move other users talk entries. See WP:TALK for guidelines, in particular WP:TALK#Others.27 comments.

I was commenting on the need to split Taxation in the United Kingdom. Both Morpph and I have suggested expanding the main article Taxation in the United Kingdom first before splitting into a smaller articles. See Wikipedia:Summary style for how this works. GameKeeper 15:43, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

I did see your UK income tax . In my view this is NOT the best way to proceed. the best way would be to expand Taxation in the United Kingdom under the income tax section. Eventually the article will become large enough to be split up at which point Wikipedia:Summary style can be applied. Do you agree? WP:Size gives details of what is expected of article sizes. By splitting the article they way you have much of the information is in 2 separate articles , this is known as content forking and is to be avoided. GameKeeper 16:05, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

EdeskonlineEdit

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Edeskonline, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. GameKeeper 20:23, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

Sanjiv swarup 05:41, 27 March 2007 (UTC) Wiki is the most modern way of peer review . All the components and linkages of this article are genuine. I have personally tried out edeskonline. edeskonline has already been featured on several wiki articles / comparative articles. I therefore feel that this article is appropriate.

You want to include it because it is mentioned in other places in Wikipedia? This is NOT enough to make it noteable . See Wikipedia:Attribution/FAQ#Types_of_source_material for suitable sources. GameKeeper 06:45, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

UK income taxEdit

Hi. I've noticed your change to Taxation in the United Kingdom which states you've "moved income tax info to an existing article". As a matter of urgency, could you identify that existing article by placing {{main|name of new article}} just below the Income Tax header in Taxation in the United Kingdom. I've been unable to find the new article you refer to. See Tax for some examples of this in use. from Winklethorpe

done: the name of the article is Income Tax Act 1842 Sanjiv swarup 10:43, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

Secondly, I'm a bit concerned by the move, and a couple of other people have previously commented they they feel it could be premature. It may be best to start a discussion of it in order to build a consensus - explain how you plan to expand on uk income tax so that it warrants a separate article. from Winklethorpe

++ The previous comments were when an entirely new article was created. Now, an independent article titled "Income Tax Act 1842" has been merged. In this manner, the history of the legislation along with the provisions are now available to any reader. Responses have come in with a good summary of current provisions. (please refer to the discussion page). Furthermore, a approximate tax planning scenario is planned to be shown. from Winklethorpe

Thanks Sanjiv swarup 10:43, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

On a minor point, you don't need to ~~~~ in edit summaries, only in talk pages. Winklethorpe 08:10, 4 April 2007 (UTC) noted with thanks Sanjiv swarup 10:43, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

Split of UK income taxEdit

You seem to have ignored my previous comment and that of other editors here and here, NOT to split the Taxation in the United Kingdom and have split it for a second time. Please do not work against Consensus GameKeeper 16:26, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

Red linksEdit

Hello Sanjiv,

I see you've been removing a lot of red links recently. Sometimes it's right to remove red links, but normally it's right to keep them. If the article might be created in the future, the red link should be retained to prompt people to create articles, and to make sure that when the article is created it's already linked from all the right places. Have a look at WP:REDLINK for a discussion about this. Thanks,

Hello, you seem keen to add references to eDeskOnline into wikipedia. Do you have a commercial interest in eDeskOnline? GameKeeper (talk) 12:36, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

I use eDeskOnline for keeping all my information handy. I fancy myself as a missionary for in-the-cloud-computing which I think is the future of productivity. Other areas of my interest is Direct Marketing.

Online Office/Archive 1Edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Online Office/Archive 1, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Online Office/Archive 1 is a test page.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Online Office/Archive 1, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Cloud computingEdit

Thanks for your contributions to the talk page. I've spent the last days overhauling the article and I hope you are more satisfied with the article now. Feel free to contribute yourself. samj (talk) 08:49, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

  • Hi there, thanks for your contributions. I have reverted some of the more recent ones because there was a duplicate 'architecture' section and a new companies section that would become a spam trap. I have instead revealed the section comments in this edit. I hope that is something like what you had in mind. I also noticed you added two companies, one of which I have never heard of. Let's keep the examples to a small number (3-4) which best illustrate cloud computing. samj (talk) 07:17, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Direct Marketing Association IndiaEdit

A tag has been placed on Direct Marketing Association India requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.
