WDKL (FM)Edit

Just wanted to drop by in case the edit summary I left when I removed the speedy on WDKL wasn't clear. There were still some incoming links to WDKL leftover from the move of the article to WMKF (FM), and I wanted to make sure I came in behind and cleaned those up before WPZR moved over top of it. That's complete now.

Question for you, though. There are actually three stations recently holding the WDKL call sign - the new one, WMKF, and WKTZ-FM, which had it from 2002 to 2015. In a situation like that, where it's a three-way dab and one of them had the calls for a decent amount of time, I'd usually be inclined to leave WDKL (FM) where it is and turn WDKL into a disambiguation page. If you're okay with that, I'll make that happen. If you're stuck on WPZR ending up at the base, then I can stick a double hatnote at the top of the page and finish the move for you. I'll leave it to your judgment — just let me know. Mlaffs (talk) 02:11, 11 August 2018 (UTC)

I noticed when I started cleaning up the links that some went to the third station, I wondered at the time if a dab would be better for now. It's hard to say because the other two stations were in small markets and have rather small articles. Also I think they were known more for the "K-Love" brand than the call sign. I also made the WMKF page a dab due to the airport code, I wasn't sure which way to go on that one either. RobDe68 (talk) 05:43, 11 August 2018 (UTC)
So, here's a thought. Why don't we dab it for now, and then we can always come back to it down the road once there's a bit more distance since the WKTZ-FM change? We've dumped out on a lot of two-way dabs over the years; there isn't necessarily a reason we couldn't do the same on a three-way dab. At the same time, given how often EMF moves around their call signs, we could end up with WDKL moving somewhere else again in six months, and then we'd really want the dab. Mlaffs (talk) 16:17, 11 August 2018 (UTC)
It sounds like the right thing to do. I haven't done many call sign page moves recently although I used to do a lot more back in the day. It's not like any of the "K-Love" stations are even known for the call sign. Some of those pages with no real history should probably be redirects to K-Love to be honest.
