Chris Allen (academic) edit

Please refer to our BLP policy for why that information needs to be removed. If you want to help, find references. As it stands, there is no valid indication that the person is notable in the first place. Thank you. 207.157.121.92 (talk) 15:30, 31 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

  •   Thank you for trying to keep Wikipedia free of vandalism. However, one or more edits you labeled as vandalism are not considered vandalism under Wikipedia policy. Wikipedia has a stricter definition of the word "vandalism" than common usage, and mislabeling edits as vandalism can discourage newer editors. Please read Wikipedia:NOTVAND for more information on what is and is not considered vandalism. Thank you. 207.157.121.92 (talk) 15:40, 31 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
  • I suggested you read the BLP policy. Please do so, and please do not abuse rollback for reverting good-faith edits that follow our guidelines. 207.157.121.92 (talk) 15:40, 31 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
  • Browse through the history of the article and you'll see what's going on. Someone put up a resume--at some point it looked like this, a typical puff piece. Deletion is not the best answer; improvement is, but first the puffery must be cut. 207.157.121.92 (talk) 15:44, 31 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
Vandalism template ? It seems you need to observe my reverts thoroughly. Yeah i agree, i saw older versions, now it has become some encyclopedic. --доктор прагматик 15:48, 31 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
  • If you really want to improve the article, and thus the project, look at this. Much more fun than either trimming or reverting other editors. As for the warning: no, you need to observe my edits carefully. You gave me a vandalism warning, not the other way around. Please read WP:VANDAL. 207.157.121.92 (talk) 15:50, 31 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
I will love to, but it has responsible editors like you, thus leaves no reason to worry. At the same time i also encourage you to create an account. --доктор прагматик 15:55, 31 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
OK, look at the article again. If you want to become a better writer, go through edit by edit. You'll see that I reorganized the article (so it conforms more to the Manual of Style), that I added a bunch of reliable sources that indicate he has indeed an international reputation, and that I trimmed the things (except for the academic career--that's not really controversial and it's very factual in tone) that could not be easily verified and may constitute puffery, for instance. Note also little changes, like the tag--from "refimprove" to "BLP sources", and the removal of the individual "cn" tags. Finally, note that the references establish without a doubt that the person deserves a Wikipedia article. Now consider something else--you can do this as well. (And I don't really want an account right now.) Good luck. 207.157.121.92 (talk) 16:15, 31 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Seems to be okay! I read a book, something like Madhya Pradesh Post Independence, smost probably a page or two were dedicated to this gentleman there. Also search in local language script (is it Devanagari?), it is sometimes helpful. --Tito Dutta 16:39, 20 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

A page you started (Alirajpur tehsil) has been reviewed! edit

Thanks for creating Alirajpur tehsil.

I have just reviewed the page, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

It appears that there's already an article for this subject, albeit without the term "tehsil" at Alirajpur. However, this article does include information that the other doesn't, so a merge is in order.

To reply, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Rosguill}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ .

Your contributed article, 2019 India–Pakistan standoff edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, 2019 India–Pakistan standoff. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – 2019 Balakot airstrike. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at 2019 Balakot Airstrike. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. DBigXray 08:36, 27 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

February 2019 edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from 2019 Balakot airstrike to another page 2019 India–Pakistan standoff. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. DBigXray 09:05, 27 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
