George Stanford Cowcher moved to draftspace

Please delete the article. The spelling of the name is incorrect

Hamelin Station Reserve

this edit is contrary to MOS:BOLDLINKAVOID. I was going to revert it, and/or move the link to somewhere else in the article, but then I realised there's a more serious problem than that. Per MOS:FIRST, Hamelin Station Reserve should start something like "Hamelin Station Reserve is a ... reserve..." and probably somewhere after that say "It was once Hamelin Station ...".

But is there enough material for two separate articles? Maybe they should be merged. Mitch Ames (talk) 11:38, 14 September 2020 (UTC)

Hamelin Station I believe is still listed as a Australian Pastoral lease. See https://researchlibrary.agric.wa.gov.au/gis_maps/8/ List_of_pastoral_leases_in_Western_AustraliaI am not aware that it has reverted to crown land, or a crown reserve yet. There are considerable natural values flora, fauna etc yet to be described and referenced in either article. Also there is the proximity of the historic Hamelin Pool Telegraph Station and Post office which is called Hamelin Pool or Boolgoorda and often confused with Hamelin Station. As Hamelin station Reserve is an unofficial and incorrect land tenure description, maybe the article should be combined. I do believe the Hamelin Pool Telegraph Station (Boolgorda) warrants a separate article as it has little connection to Hamelin a station other than geographic proximity and the stromatolites nearby are a major feature of the Hamelin Pool Marine Nature Reserve. I do not know how to amalgamate articles.

how to amalgamate articles — See WP:MERGE. I'm not sufficiently knowledgeable on the topic to know whether two articles are justified or a merge is appropriate (although it is clear that something needs to be done), but I can help with the editing and MOS issues either way. It might be prudent to raise a more general discussion before trying to merge, per WP:MERGEPROP.
