@TeenAngels1234: I have a question regarding "The exploration of Misato's past and a romantic comedy before the climax of the series". Firslty, what exactly does "romantic comedy" refer to exactly? Also, I am somewhat confused by "According to character designer Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, the original scenario did not include Lilith, which was introduced following the airing of the series and some staff research on Christianity[10] because "not touching Lilith seemed to hurt Anno's pride". I'm guessing Sadamoto talking about the original scenario of the series as a whole. Concerning "which was introduced following the airing of the series", does this refer to "following the premiere of the series"? Yup, I agree. It looks better now. Thank you. You're right about Lilith inclusion and the premiere of the serie: they changed the series scenario after. Regarding "The exploration of Misato's past and a romantic comedy before the climax of the series", sadly that's what the Proposal says about it: "Misato's past. A romance comedy". Two sentences and nothing more. We don't know exactly what romance comedy would take place; maybe something like the Shinji and Asuka kiss, or maybe not. So, yeah, both Misato's past and the (Shinji-Asuka?) "romantic comedy" were initially supposed to take place in episode 17, and I prefered to simply report what the Proposal says sic est. @TeenAngels1234: Thank you for the clarification. I have made changes accordingly. One other thing I wanted a clarification with is the part where it's stated that the conversation and body language Rei shows would have been "unimaginable" in the first half of the series. Does conversation relate to the emotions Rei displays in this scene, or that she's engaging in a discussion with Shinji at all? Is it maybe about the content of their conversation? In the first few episodes, Rei rarely talked to Shinji, and it almost always was about their job, rather than anything personal. --PanagiotisZois (talk) 22:32, 3 December 2023 (UTC)

I think it's more about the emotions that Rei displays in this scene and thus the content of this particular conversation. That's the text of Evangelion Chronicle: このシンジとレイの会話は重要である。シンジがレイの雑巾を絞る 動作に母を感じるという発言に、レイは赤面しながら「何を言うのよ ･･･」とつぶやいたのだ。こうした会話やレイの表情は、物語序盤では 考えられなかったものである。2人の関係や、レイ自身が大きく変化 していることが窺える。Translation: "This conversation between Shinji and Rei is important. When Shinji said that he sees a mother in the way Rei squeezed her rag, Rei blushed and murmured, 'What are you talking about..?'. These [my emphasis] conversations and Rei's facial expressions were unimaginable at the beginning of the story. It can be seen that the relationship between the two have changed significantly." WikiCup 2024 February newsletter

The 2024 WikiCup is off to a flying start, with 135 participants. This is the largest number of participants we have seen since 2017.

Our current leader is newcomer Generalissima (submissions), who has one FA on John Littlejohn (preacher) and 10 GAs and 12 DYKs mostly on New Zealand coinage and Inuit figures. Here are some more noteworthy scorers:

• AirshipJungleman29 (submissions), with one FA on Hö'elün, two GAs on Mongolia-related articles, and two DYKs;
• Vami_IV (submissions), with one FA on Doom (2016 video game), one GA on Boundary Fire (2017), and 11 reviews;
• MaranoFan (submissions), with one FA on Holidays (Meghan Trainor song), a nine-article FT on 30 (album), and two DYKs;
• Skyshifter (submissions), with one FA on OneShot and one DYK;
• Sammi Brie (submissions), with five GAs and five DYKs on television and radio stations;
• voorts (submissions) and Elli (submissions), both with one FA and one DYK each.

As a reminder, competitors may submit work for the first round until 23:59 (UTC) on 27 February, and the second round starts 1 March. Remember that only the top 64 scoring competitors will make it through to the second round; currently, competitors need at least 15 points to progress. If you are concerned that your nomination will not receive the necessary reviews, and you hope to get it promoted before the end of the round, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. However, please remember to continue to offer reviews at GAN, FAC and all the other pages that require them to prevent any backlogs which could otherwise be caused by the Cup. WikiCup 2024 March newsletter

The first round of the 2024 WikiCup ended at 23:59 (UTC) on 27 February. Everyone with at least 30 points moved on to Round 2, the highest number of points required to advance to the second round since 2014. Due to a six-way tie for the 64th-place spot, 67 contestants have qualified for Round 2.

The following scorers in Round 1 all scored more than 300 points:

• Generalissima (submissions), who has 916 points mostly from one FA on John Littlejohn (preacher), 15 GAs, and 16 DYKs on a variety of topics including New Zealand coinage and Inuit figures, in addition to seven reviews
• Vami_IV (submissions), who has 790 points from two FAs on Felix M. Warburg House and Doom (2016 video game), two GAs, one DYK, and 11 reviews
• AirshipJungleman29 (submissions), who has 580 points from one FA on Hö'elün, two GAs on Mongolia-related articles, two DYKs, and five reviews
• Sammi Brie (submissions), who has 420 points mostly from nine GAs and seven DYKs on television and radio stations
• MaranoFan (submissions), who has 351 points from one FA on Holidays (Meghan Trainor song), a nine-article FT on 30 (album), and three DYKs
• Skyshifter (submissions), who has 345 points from one FA on OneShot, one DYK and two reviews

In this newsletter, the judges would like to pay a special tribute to Vami_IV (submissions), who unfortunately passed away this February. At the time of his death, he was the second-highest-scoring competitor. Outside the WikiCup, he had eight other featured articles, five A-class articles, eight other good articles, and two Four Awards. Vami also wrote an essay on completionism, a philosophy in which he deeply believed. If you can, please join us in honoring his memory by improving one of the articles on his to-do list.

Remember that any content promoted after 27 February but before the start of Round 2 can be claimed in Round 2. Invitations for collaborative writing efforts or any other discussion of potentially interesting work is always welcome on the WikiCup talk page. Remember, if two or more WikiCup competitors have done significant work on an article, all can claim points. WikiCup 2024 April newsletter

We are approaching the end of the 2024 WikiCup's second round, with a little over two weeks remaining. Currently, contestants must score at least 105 points to progress to the third round.

Our current top scorers are as follows:

• Sammi Brie (submissions) with 642 points, mostly from 11 GAs about radio and television;
• voorts (submissions) with 530 points, mostly from two FAs (Well he would, wouldn't he? and Cora Agnes Benneson) and three GAs;
• Generalissima (submissions) with 523 points, mostly from 11 GAs about coinage and history;
• SounderBruce (submissions) with 497 points, mostly from a FA about the 2020 season of the soccer club Seattle Sounders FC and two GAs;
• Tamzin (submissions) with 410 points, mostly from a FA about the drink Capri-Sun and three GAs;
• Kusma (submissions) with 330 points, mostly from a FA about the English botanist Anna Blackburne and a GA.

Competitors may submit work for the second round until the end of 28 April, and the third round starts 1 May. Remember that only competitors with the top 32 scores will make it through to the third round. If you are concerned that your nomination will not receive the necessary reviews, and you hope to get it promoted before the end of the round, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. Please remember to continue to offer reviews at GAN, FAC and all the other pages that require them to prevent any backlogs. As a reminder, competitors are strictly prohibited from gaming Wikipedia policies or processes to receive more points.

Resident Evil

Hey again, btw, are you interested in Resident Evil, like turning the RE characters into GT? Because only Wesker (the article is being reviwed right now) and especially the list of characters are the only remaining articles for it to become a good topic. Just letting you know only.

@Greenish Pickle!: Hey. Yeah, I've been an RE fan for years, so I would like to improve or create certain articles when possible. But only whenever I feel like it, of course. For now, I'm only interested in working on Salvador, but I'll take my time with it. Thanks for removing some low-quality sources. BTW, do you think the RE characters list could be made like those of Final Fantasy? Like, having a "Characters in Resident Evil 4" page? PanagiotisZois (talk) 11:56, 16 April 2024 (UTC)

Oh I see. Now I know why you improved beefcake's article into GA. Yes. I think we probably can because we can't really dump a lot of characters on a single list page (Pokemon articles are also just like Final Fantasy and Red Dead). The thing is, you'll end up creating another article (which is a list) if you're willing to. BTW, work on an article in which you're only interested. =) Greenish Pickle! Just take your time. thou, feel a little bit iffy for the Dr. Salvador article if it passes notability, so because of that, I've asked a couple of people at Wikipedia:WikiProject Video Games/Video Game Characters if Dr. Salvador would be fine.
