Inappropriate links edit

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Oast house. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Melcous (talk) 09:17, 26 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Melcous is correct. Also, you would appear to have a conflict of interest in adding the link to your own website. That said, it is nice to find another oast enthusiast. I would encourage you to add to the oast and hopper hut articles using the extensive book sources that you appear to have. Any difficulties with using {{cite book}} give me a shout. I may have a proper look at your website in the next few days and see if there is anything I can add to the article from it. Mjroots (talk) 11:03, 26 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
I have replied on my talk page as well, but it seems like Mjroots will be able to help you with this and avoid the conflict of interest issue, which is great. Cheers, Melcous (talk) 23:32, 26 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
