Welcome! edit

Hi Nezu Chiza, and a warm welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you have enjoyed editing as much as I did so far and decide to stay. Unfamiliar with the features and workings of Wikipedia? Don't fret! Be Bold! Here's some good links for your reference and that'll get you started in no time!

Most Wikipedians would prefer to just work on articles of their own interest. But if you have some free time to spare, here are some open tasks that you may want to help out :

  • RC Patrol - Keeping a lookout for vandalism.
  • Cleanup - Help make unreadable articles readable.
  • Requests - Wanted on WP, but hasn't been created.
  • Merge - Combining duplicate articles into one.
  • Wikiprojects - So many to join, so many to choose from...Take your pick!

Oh yes, don't forget to sign when you write on talk pages, simply type four tildes, like this: ~~~~. This will automatically add your name and the time after your comments. And finally, if you have any questions or doubts, don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Once again, welcome! =)

Hi, and where you been? edit

Harperbruce 14:31, 10 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Where you been, Nezu? I hope I haven't scared you off with all I've been doing over on the Lyoko page; I just felt I had something to contribute. Or are you just snowed under with Real World activities, and haven't been getting in?

Peace be to you.

No, I haven't been scared off, I just contribute when the mood strikes me usually. :) Nezu Chiza 21:30, 10 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

(Whew.) I was wondering; looking at all the edits I have in the history, I kind of came in like the proverbial 500-kilo gorilla (which is heavy indeed, as a kilo is 2.2 pounds).

Forgive me edit

I want to apologize for the "tsukihime merge" incident. It wont happen again. Also, I took the task on my own because I thought I could and i'm sorry for that, since i'm not so worthy of making those kind of changes, I would like to suggest a note on the wikipedia guidelines for merging and redirecting about this so this wont happen again.

sorry again. Minakomel 21:15, 2 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

I got it edit

it wont happen again, I understood the first message. That makes me never want to modify anything but that is just childish. I already understood the lesson and i'm not doing anything without discussing it. Minakomel 08:02, 3 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Morrigan edit

  • I mistakenly asked to check "Morrigan vs. Felicia" dialogue in my Morrigan Aensland edit. It's not that dialogue (which is actually Felicia's mid-game challenge by Morrigan), but Demitri's sub-boss fight vs. Morrigan. You can't get more canon than that. Xenosaga pages edit

I see that you are in on cleaning them up. Many thanks for the assist. Deckiller 21:42, 18 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Fate/Stay Night edit

Why do you keep removing spoilers? Every other wikipedia article has spoiler warnings and gives all the major plot details, this anime is no different. Either come to a compromise with me on my talk page or I will totally rewrite the article complete with spoiler warning and the full storyline. I'll give you 3 days. Bowen 03:45, 6 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thank you very much for your help on the FSN page. You don't seem as bad as some people seem to claim... (I don't know... this is my first time ever editing a Wikipedia...) Hope you'll help out a little more in the future! Mirioki 03:45, 4 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, I think. Keep in mind that the only people who think I'm bad on here are someone who vandalised both my talk page and the Atelier Iris article dozens of times, someone who took it on themselves to start merging pages without bothering to see how the others who edited the pages felt, and a third who was upset that I didn't allow massive, blatent spoilers on the Fate main page. So yeah, I'm not nearly as bad as it may seem. I just have little tolerance for certain things. ^_- Nezu 03:55, 4 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
Read's through Nezu's history pages I'll commend these people for their lack of originality... all dealing with homosexual innuendos and childish word play with "Chiza" I won't even ask about the confusion with your gender... none my business. Anyway, as you probably already know, I'm officially retiring from the Fate/Stay Night page. I'm still very unhappy with how little I've been able to do, but I've at least set up a guideline for others to follow... this being my first time ever editing a single Wiki page in my life, I think I've done a decent job. Hopefully fans will pull through and make a damn good Wikipedia! Though, arguably, I'm pirating the FSN anime right now by watching streams of it, it's the only way I can watch it right now. Granted because I love Type Moon so much, once that son of a bitch gets out on DVD, I'm going to buy it for sure! Mirioki 05:23, 5 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

By the way, I'm not so sure if it's such a wise idea to call Shirou Shirō because most people call him Shirou... Same with Tōsaka Rin and Tohsaka Rin. I'm sure that it's proper to call him Shirō and her Tōsaka... but it's just not as common as Shirou, Matou, and Tohsaka. I mean, no one is going to search for Shirō, Tōsaka, or Matō because it's just too hard to write. Please discuss this with me on my talk page. Thank you very much! ^_^ Mirioki 13:34, 4 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sentai edit

Every military aviation historian I know of, except me, translates sentai as regiment, and hiko sentai as air regiment. Perhaps naval historians prefer task force? Seems much too high up the pecking order to me -- a task force is more like an army corps or theater air force (hikoshidan)! Personally, I prefer to use "group" since that was the USAAF equivalent during WWII, when a JAAF sentai consisted of three chutais or squadrons. I have worked with Japanese texts for 15 years. However, please yourself.

Power Rangers comparison names edit

Thank you for re-reverting the Power Rangers names from the Timeranger article, but just so you know that same user had done to all the pages of all the Sentai series that the PR series were based off of. This includes pages that I have previously reverted myself. I should be able to handle some of the work myself, but I wanted to let you know of the current situation. --Adv193

Requested reference edit

Provided the reference you asked for on the Xenogears page. I should have done it when I made the edit before, but I didn't think of it. Sorry about that. Also cleaned up the syntax I used to admit there's some vagueness used about the relationship between the two series, yet also provided the quotes used to support the seperation of the two. Hope that helps! Nezu Chiza 02:57, 27 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Nezu, I just saw that. And I just left a comment in the article's talk page. Cheers! Druff 05:37, 27 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Your question re: 1408 (film) edit

Hi, I've responed to your question regarding 1408 (film) on my talk page. Thanks and happy editing! Chaz Beckett 17:28, 17 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hellsing (manga) edit

The trivia doesn't really add anything to the article. It is mainly playing "I spy" throughout the series, and it was overwhelming the rest of the article (it was something like 10K of trivia). I wouldn't mind a prose section on influences if references in secondary sources could be found. --Phirazo 02:36, 23 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
I don't know if you assumed I was going to respond here, so I'll repost my response here. Also, please do not label something as "vandalism" unless it obviously is. Please do not add the trivia back without reliable, secondary sources on it. --Phirazo 19:19, 23 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re: Spice and Wolf edit

I do applaud your efforts, but I had been trying to push for the Holo spelling for three long months between January and April, but due to constant IPs and other users changing it back to Horo, I finally gave up as I thought it was useless to try anymore without a spelling everyone can agree on which will become apparent when/if this series gets licensed in some form. That said, I have completely washed my hands of the issue. I will only suggest to you that if you want to push for "Holo", please change the spelling in List of Spice and Wolf episodes as well for consistency purposes. I would do it myself, but as I said, I have washed my hands of the issue, so I won't go near it anymore.-- 09:57, 20 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Removing correct tags edit

Hi. You are removing corrects tags. What 75.169.4.189 tried to do is to removed tags added by User:TTN and I reverted them giving him many warnings. The tags are correct because the articles lack Notability guidelines since they contain no real world information. Moreover, 75.169.4.189 tried to remove Trivia tags. Re:Aerith Gainsborough edit

No worries, thanks for switching it over. I was afraid switching everything to Aerith might insight a riot among fans, but thankfully the page has been rather quiet lately. (Guyinblack25 talk 20:28, 4 June 2008 (UTC))Reply

Criticism of World of Warcraft edit

You may wish to take part in the discussion I have started at WikiProject Video Games here in order to establish consensus on how to approach the article going forward. Many thanks, Gazimoff WriteRead 21:01, 22 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re: Ciel edit

The AfD related to the article closed with one vote keep, one merge, and one either way. As Wikipedia:Notability goes, you'll see the article has no third party sources discussing it's reception, no development info, nothing. I felt there was nothing salvageable in the article as was for a merge, given the degree of detail and focus on plot, thus the straight redirect.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 05:18, 1 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

For the record, I'm a fan of this series myself and rather annoyed by the quality of these articles, especially given the timeframe to improve. A lot of wikipedia seems to have the same issue, which makes cleaning things out a bitch and my demeanor a bit rought. If you want to do good for the article, find an example like Master Chief or Aeris to work with and improve Ciel's to a similar quality, the others as well if possible. Right now probably going to rain hell on the Fate/Stay articles per a discussion on the vg project.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 05:31, 1 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
And yet, amazingly enough, many of them are being removed daily. But I believe a good counter to your argument lies in WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS. Crappy articles will always be dealt with as time goes on, and if articles don't get improved they will either have to or be removed. The all-or-nothing approach is hardly new nor a good idea in any context.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 17:59, 1 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
