San Juan

We all did our part, now we take it to FA. I will file a peer review request in a few minutes, cheers! - 13:24, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

It look gorgeous, I presume you've noticed that not only this article improved but almost every link related to it has had a major overhaul, I think we all did a magnificent job, still some polishing is due as improved visual enhancements! Lol – Moebiusuibeom-en 13:34, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
How about San Juan Botanical Garden for a GA, it's not just a mere translation of the Spanish version, which by the way has also been polished! – Moebiusuibeom-en 17:44, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

San Juan Botanical Garden

Hey Mtmelendez, how you doing, in regards to the description of the exotic and unique Red Sealing Wax Palm found at the "entrance" of the Botanical Gardens:

  • Red Sealing Wax Palm (Cyrtostachys renda) in the Aquatic Garden is a rare palm from Malaysia. It has the striking feature of a red crown shaft.
Versus
  • The rare Red Sealing Wax Palm (Cyrtostachys renda) from Malaysia can be found in the Botanical Garden's Aquatic Garden.

Frankly, i much prefer the well placed words of the top description; it makes people think, it grabs folks "virtually", it stimulates the mind and the imagination, it creates essence and makes people read article, it's there for a reason, furthermore, it describes the "striking feature of a red crown shaft", important feature of this unique, strikingly unusual species, personally have one of these and believe me, this detail astonishes folks, … what should we do – Moebiusuibeom-en 19:14, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

OK, then how about "Red Sealing Wax Palm (Cyrtostachys renda) in the Aquatic Garden is a rare palm from Malaysia", by having the name first it emphasizes the species, also "Garden" is too redundant!. Got more info coming in. Quite possibly this article is the most complete in all Botanical Garden articles in Wikipedia – Moebiusuibeom-en 21:49, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
By the way, the article is not just about the Garden, is about Plants too, Botany means the science of Plants – Moebiusuibeom-en 21:54, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

Yes, but remember that the article is about the Botanical garden, not about the whole subject of Botany. You may want to start an article on Botany in Puerto Rico, and merge info on the Botanical Garden as well as UPR studies on botany, and the flora of Puerto Rico. It's a big task, but it could be a great article. - Mtmelendez

RE: Sorry, too much and I'm not an expert in Botany, although the seed could be planted and from there who knows, my interests are environmental issues, culture, design & urbanism (a world for people, not machines), the San Juan Botanical Garden article so far is one of the best I've seen, I don't think we want to get too technical, there's a whole lot of subjects in Puerto Rico that need to be addressed, there is priorities, we must let the world know who we are and where we stand, I'm not a great writer, i just fill in the facts and realities, the rest of America and the world is on agenda, I'm just passing by, Cheers, MOEBIUSMoebiusuibeom-en 00:06, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Portal selected article

I have added an option to show when an article has been selected on the PR portal. This eliminates the need for the template you created. Joelito (talk) 18:56, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

Boricua Popular Army and Project's Portal

Yeah I figured that was how it should have been done, either way it seems WikiProject Caribbean is disturbingly inactive. About the portal do you think we should add sports related news, I can be of help updating those and this year is full of important events such as the Panamerican games and the Fiba Pre-Olympic, and I will cut my arm off if our Basketball team doesn't bring a medal back from them because Manolo is finally shaping it as it should have been for the World Chapionships. - 02:01, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Yup, I have a few in mind begining with Cotto's outcome on Saturday's fight and the final result of the BSN's tournament. -- 02:11, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Chupacabra

Silly question, some time ago after attemping to read this page I did some massive cleanup and have since then attempted to mantain it clean, as I usually do when I fix a article. Now ever since back then I have been wondering if we should add it to the project's scope since we created it or if the creature has any chance of being real, 'reported it'. What do you think? - 03:14, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

Ok, I just wanted a second opinion before adding the template, thanks for your time. - 18:52, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Hey Mtmelendez, I've messed up San Juan, Puerto Rico, sorry, was trying to place Arts & Culture image in it's correct positioning, (originally didn't want it to overlap transportation area) and it seems I've lost part of info and don't know how to reverse, please help ~ Moebiusuibeom-en 15:35, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

Main Page

Hey those are great news, I will not have much time to edit it now but I already added it to my watch list and should be able to keep a close eye on it, oh and kind of late but...happy birthday! :p - 21:29, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

Did you notice how I shortened the refs for Marisabel Bras (sorry, no accents on my laptop); that should make it easier for you to add refs. I left a question on the talk page; I don't know Puerto Rican history. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 01:04, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
Hi everyone, been taking some time off, did some visual balancing in History of Puerto Rico, hope everyone likes it, please comment if you like. The first image (satellite view), i cannot adjust for some reason if i go to Top, I would make it slightly larger (225px or so) and would include the following copy; View of Puerto Rico from space or Satellite view of Puerto Rico, very important, otherwise the article is superb, oh yes, I've also added a nice post stamp image witch i believe is very appropriate for article ~ Moebiusuibeom-en 15:58, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

Wikiproject Puerto Rico Newsletter

Hello. I am thinking about starting a monthly newsletter for the members of Wikiproject Puerto Rico. It will include the latest news and information about the project. It will be delivered by a bot, probably R Delivery Bot or HermesBot. I have created a draft that can be found here. Please let me know how I can improve it. Thank you. Happy editing! Yours sincerely, Eddie 01:55, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

It's done! R Delivery Bot will deliver the newsletter to all of the project participants at the end of every month. You can find the newsletter at Wikipedia:WikiProject Puerto Rico/Newsletter/June 2007. Happy editing! Yours sincerely, Eddie 20:54, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Comment

You guys have done a wonderful job with San Juan, Puerto Rico and make me proud. I made some minor corrections, but feel free to revert me if you feel I am wrong. I would like to make two minor suggestions, which you may consider.

1. Include something about Rafael Cordero (educator)

2. and maybe San Juan's role in the World War's since Camp Las Casa's was situated in what is now "El Caserio Las Casa" see: Puerto Ricans in World War II and since the "first" shot in World War I on behave of the "Americans" was made in San Juan by Puerto Rican Teofilo Marxuach.

Those are only suggestions. Now, if were up to me, I would include a "table" with the mayors of the city and at least mention Felisa Rincón de Gautier who was the first woman to be elected as the mayor of a capital city in any of The Americas. Tony the Marine 19:07, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

Article Assessment for WikiProject Puerto Rico

Hello, Mtmelendez! As you may know already, WikiProject Puerto Rico, in conjunction with the WP:1.0 program, is trying to assess the quality of articles within our scope to help us focus our work on the articles who need it the most. Unfortunately, there is a backlog of more than 799 unassessed articles within our scope. I, in the name of the members of WikiProject Puerto Rico, ask you, if you have the time, to help your fellow members clean up the backlog by assessing unassessed articles and review articles already assessed to make sure they still meet the quality criteria. You can learn more about the WikiProject's article assessment program at Wikipedia:WikiProject Puerto Rico/Assessment.

I, personally, found assessing articles manually took too much time, so I looked around and found a script that makes assessing articles easier. If you would like the script's help, just copy the following code to your monobook.js.

 // [[User:Outriggr/metadatatest.js]]
 importScript('User:Outriggr/metadatatest.js');
 assessmentMyTemplateCode = ["{{PuertoRicoproj|class=|importance=}}"];

You can find the manual for the script at User talk:Outriggr/metadatatest.js. If you need help, please contact me. Thank you for your time. I hope you can find the time to help. This message has been automatically delivered to all WikiProject Puerto Rico participants using AWB. Happy editing! Yours sincerely, Eddie 17:17, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

How did the correct link to Hits get screwed up?

I'm unfamiliar with the process, but it appears as though every single wikipedia entry that USED to have the correct wiki link to Hits got screwed up into the disambiguation of Hits, all at once. Now it appears as though you're fixing every single one of these back to where it's supposed to be manually!?

What happened? Who screwed up tens of thousdands of links in an instant? I'm very confused as to how this site is run, but I think there's still thousands of other players that have messed up links now due to someone's actions.SashaNein 15:51, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

Portal:Puerto Rico

Shouldn't we change the name of "In the news..." to "Puerto Rico News" like Portal:Illinois, a featured portal candidate? --Boricuaeddie hábleme 18:21, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

I think your idea sounds better :-) Also, what do you think about my latest update to the section? --Boricuaeddie hábleme 00:55, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
Hey Marcos, I just created a bio entry for Hector Lavoe on Portal:Puerto Rico/Selected biography/5. Lavoe just passed GAC and from what I understand of this edit [1] if a article becomes a GA it qualifies automatically as a Selected Biography, right? - 03:33, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Ok just making sure to keep up with the format. I'm only working bios at the moment because I'm trying to avoid some dicks that believe when somebody supports a article within a project they are members of are 'fan votes' so if you have any article about somebody that you are interested in working with I can be of help. One last thing how much work is due before PR's portal undergoes a Featured Portal Candidature? because if there is something I can do to help I can do it. - 22:02, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
I'll see what I can do with the News section, the Pan American games are in process and some important news are bound to happen. - 06:30, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. WikiProject Business & Economics article on Andrew Saul

Just a heads up that Andrew Saul (ex-CEO of Cache and Brooks Bros.) has been nominated for featured article status here. Any input, comment and suggestions would be greatly appreciated, there is not that much info on him as it relates to his business career, and being an !expert, I'm not quite sure how well I can flesh it out. Please feel free to comment and/or improve the article. Thanks! Mrprada911 21:18, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

Peer review isn't working anymore...

Hey Marcos, I see both Ramón Emeterio Betances and Héctor Lavoe have only received automated reviews there, I am moving Lavoe to FAC, perhaps we can nominate both at the same time so we can monitor them at the same time, what do you think? - Caribbean~H.Q. 01:21, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

I created the FAC here at least this way we guarantee a review, once these two are done I will help in getting the portal to FP regardless of the outcome of these two FACs, I will have to go back to how it was when I worked my first FACs (in my Dark Dragon Flame days), we got them to GA took them to Peer review for a week and then took them to FAC regardless if they were reviewed, on that same note WP:LOCE doesn't appear to be working either...- Caribbean~H.Q. 04:11, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

Puerto Ricans in NASA

To all my friends,

As you all know by now, the article "Puerto Ricans in NASA" was deleted and we must accept the decision of the closing administrator I my self am not upset because I know that together we came come up with an acceptable alternative and I encourage all of you to join me in this quest. The creation of a well written list seems like a good idea and therefore you are all more then welcome to use the contents of the original article, which the closing admin. was kind enough to store here: User:Marine 69-71/Puerto Ricans in NASA as its foundation base. Not only do we owe it the Puerto Ricans who have made great contributions to the Space Program, but to our children and people who may someday be inspired by said article.

I admit that I was disappointed that consensus was ignored, but what worries me the most is that this may become a trend for the deletionists who, in some cases, may have anti-Hispanic sentiments, however it is all water under the bridge now. I have already started witting the bios of our scientists in NASA, which can be used in any future project. we may have lost a battle, but not the war. Que Dios me lo Bendiga a todos. Tony the Marine 20:21, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

This one's for you

Thanks so very much for supporting the recent FAC of Hispanic Americans in World War II. It was successful and Hispanic Americans in World War II has been promoted! I'm looking forward to hopefully getting Hispanic Americans in World War II on the front page. In the mean time, please accept this Beer as a token of my gratitude. Salud! Tony the Marine 15:09, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

Cool

Demf was definitely right when he said that he took it beyond GA, we only did some moderate fixes and now the project has another FA, thanks for your support when I suggested bringing them to FAC now lets cross our fingers and hope that Lavoe gets promoted to. - Caribbean~H.Q. 20:03, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

List of 2006 human rights incidents in Egypt

Thank you! It was a bit of a pain. :) I saw that you had done some extensive work on it yourself a few days ago. It's pretty satisfying to knock something off of the "to do" list. I'm currently circling some of the others on Category:Wikify from December 2006, but, of course, only the hard ones are left. :) --Moonriddengirl 18:30, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

Re: Userbox edits

hi there, thanks for the editing - living in the UK I dont have much time for the vagaries of US copyright law, and even so I believe wikipeida has it wrong on 'fair use' images on userboxes - if used on pages themselves, why not?

you have, however, made an error with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Jw2034/Hatfield. This is a GNU licenced image, thus may be used in this case. I've undone your edit on this, please be more careful in future. thanks.

RFA Thanks

Portal, Peer Review and FP candidature

Its alive !!! I think the time to nominate this portal for featured portal has come, I would do it myself but you are the one that has worked countless hours on it, based on the review the things remaining are related to format and not content (exept the reviewer wants the "News" section gone) so I would say the chances of it pasing are good. - Caribbean~H.Q. 01:55, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

I'm not sure about changing the background color to blue, that will make the links invisible unless a <fontcolor> is used. - Caribbean~H.Q. 20:38, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

List of Taínos

Thank you for your work at the List of Taínos article. As I mentioned at Tony's talk page, I think it should be moved to List of caciques, or something of the sort, as only one person in the list is not a cacique. What do you think? --Agüeybaná 20:49, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

I really disagree with you. What other notable tainos do you know that could be added there? --Agüeybaná 21:00, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
  • In order to not complicate things, I believe that the "List of Tainos" should then be renamed "List of known Taínos". That should cover all grounds. Do you agree? Tony the Marine 02:24, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

Re: Bushism AfD

Don't worry. I didn't realize it had already been nominated for deletion, since I couldn't find the first one (probably me making a tiny unnoticeable typo in the URL or something), and I was playing around with WP:TW's auto-AfD function, so all of that combined ended up making the AfD, which unfortunately there's no "I TAKE IT BACK!" for that, at least not to my knowledge. Anyway, I'm hoping someone will just WP:SNOW the AfD soon so it can go away, it's very embarrassing for me. Anyway, your mistake was a smaller one then mine, and don't worry about it, it's an easy one to make. --HALtalk 01:41, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

The now-traditional RFA thank-spam

Useless redirects ARE deletable, sometimes even speedily

In a recent RfD, you said that a redirect's "usefulness is assumed and not required to be proven". That's not quite true. The guideline says that nearly any assertion of usefulness should be accepted, but definitely stops short of claiming that usefulness should be assumed. Someone still has to assert it. Note that we even have a speedy deletion criterion (WP:CSD#R3) for certain types of useless redirects (recently created implausible typos and misnomers). Xtifr tälk 00:15, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

re: WP:RFD

Thank you for your kind words. I'm not sure I would consider myself "expert" - I've just been around long enough to remember the debates that went into the creation of the "delete if"/"keep if" guidelines.

You asked specifically about age as an indicator. I was taught that Wikipedia values history and that we ought to keep the vast majority of good-faith redirects regardless of age.

  • If a redirect documents a pagemove (and many of them do), we should always keep the redirect (unless it was pagemove vandalism) because:
    1. the page title itself is content and GFDL requires that we preserve the attribution history of content changes
      • Yes, you can carry out a history merge or document the change on the article's Talk page but most times, the redirect is easier and more reliable.
    2. editors returning to the page need to find their contributions. Content that's been moved can easily get lost. When new editors can't find the correct page for their content, they frequently assume that it was some mysterious computer glitch, say bad things about Wikipedia and add the content back - only to have it deleted yet again and still without explanation. Redirects point them to where their contribution should have been made in the first place.
    3. Many of the pagemove redirects predate the creation of the various namespaces or naming conventions.
  • Redirects help readers find content that they've looked at/worked on before.
    • Some have argued that the search engine is sufficient to help you find your contributions. Unfortunately, we know that is not true. The search engine has some weaknesses that have not been able to be overcome. I still remember a test that a more senior editor challenged me to and which demonstrated the fallibility of our search engine.
    • Others have argued that the watchlist is sufficient to help editors find their prior contributions. Not everyone uses the watchlist (and some misuse it, watchlisting every page they've ever edited so they can't ever find anything useful).
    • Even if the editors can find where their contributions went, people who merely read the prior version may not be able to. They are far less likely to have watchlisted the page. We just end up with frustrated readers who are sure that the article used to be there.
  • Even if you check "what links here" and clean up every one of the current inbound links, you have no way of knowing whether a page will be reverted tomorrow, restoring an old link to the page.
  • Worse, we have no reliable way to determine who outside the project has created a link to a particular page. If you delete a redirect, you may be deleting a link that someone else depended upon. We want Wikipedia to be a reliable reference for our readers. Breaking the links in their papers and cross-references will not endear us to them. (Yes, google Advanced Search has a links search feature but no, it doesn't work well enough. Tests have shown that far too many inbound links are not found.)
  • Deleting a harmless redirect does not actually give anything back to the project. We still keep the deleted version in hidden history so it's still consuming server space. Redirects don't cost the project anything in response time. In fact, the act of deletion adds a record to the logs. To the extent that you care about system resources at all, harmless redirects should be ignored, not deleted.

That last point is a factor that I believe is widely misunderstood. Many people think they are doing something good for the project by "cleaning up the unnecessary redirects". Even if it does no harm, it has no benefit either. At the risk of sounding trite, redirects really are that cheap.

Re-reading your question, I now wonder if I may have misread your intent. I answered the question "do old links ever stop being useful" to which I believe the answer is "no". Were you instead trying to ask "when do new links start becoming useful"? If so, the policy implies "immediately". My presumption is that the editor would not have created the redirect if he/she didn't think it was useful. Remember that not everyone navigates through pages the way you do. What's useful to you could be completely obscure to me - and vice versa. Links that are made in bad-faith or which are potentially confusing or harmful should be deleted. But links which are "useless" strikes me as an unmanageable deletion criterion. Since we can't know how everyone uses the encyclopedia, we can never prove the negative.

All that said, redirects that are younger than a few months (that were not created as a result of a pagemove) are unlikely to be in high use in my opinion. When the pagehistory shows that to be the case, I almost always support the deletion nomination (though I rarely bother to comment on those since I have nothing to add to the discussion). Cross-namespace redirects created since the creation of the different namespaces can usually be cleaned up without confusion - though in the case of redirects to policy pages, I rarely see the point. It's awfully hard to confuse "Wikipedia Deletion Policy" with anything but the project's policy page.

Those are a few of my thoughts on redirects. I hope some of it is a little bit helpful. By the way, I think your shortcuts were an excellent idea. Thanks for doing that. Rossami (talk) 05:34, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

Date box on RfD archive pages

I noticed you adding this on recent subpages of Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log (and maybe on older ones; I haven't checked). This is something that's been needed for awhile, so thanks for doing it. The main reason I'm sending you a message is that I would have started doing this myself if I could find this template anywhere. I've searched; I haven't found it. If you could enlighten me as to what the name is, I would be very grateful. Incidental point: it might also be useful to add it to {{Rfd starter}}; then there wouldn't be quite as much need for manual updating (though unfortunately there would still be some). Mostly, though, I'd like to know where that template is; it's really annoying me that I don't know ... Gavia immer (talk) 14:58, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

RfA Time!

--Agüeybaná 21:52, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

Hi I was kidding about the best editor thing but why does the tool thing show me at 30,000 edits -45,000 in total when the wikiepdians by number of edits and my preferences shows me at 80,000? ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 15:41, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Why does this Wikipedia:List of Wikipedians by number of edits but me in the 80,000 range. According to my own edit count I've made 81,000 edits. Now why does the tool only show 30,000 mainspace. Shouldn't these lists be calculated from this? I am telling I haven't put in 80,000 detailed edits to wikipedia -not evne a tenth of that ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 15:47, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

I talk a lot to other users and mess about with templates and images a lot and do a lot of tagging which rockets (pardon the Blofeld reference) my edit count. The total of 30,000 main space would be about right but I guarantee I probably haven't even put in 10,000 detailed edits to wikipedia. Many are minor edits - it is so high primarily because I have genereated tons of geo articles like a bot and have been creating a list of films which requires repetitive edits. The 80,000 in the lis tof wikipedians by numbe rof edits is ridiculous. Shouldn't this list be compiled by mainspace edits only?? My kitty Mr Bigglesworth meooows at you ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 15:52, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Mmmm that puts it over 35,000 edits out. Thats odd. ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 16:04, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Hey check out my main page - I have this as my main page set my default as I dislike the current one which is boring Wikipedia:Main Page of Blofeld ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 16:07, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Tribute to "the Marine"

I would like to pay a small tribute in this edition to Tony "the Marine". Editing since May 24, 2004, he has been one of our project's most active editors and has become one of Wikipedia's most recognized writers. He has authored over 400 articles, including 4 Featured Articles, 1 Featured List, 10 Good Articles, and 28 DYKs. His name has appeared in newspapers and magazines and has been mentioned by politicians and artists. He has brought Puerto Rico's history and its people to the web. He has shown the world that Puerto Ricans have done much more than just be gangsters and drug dealers. He has shown the world that we have contributed to history and the world just as much as any other group of people.

On September 29, 2007, Tony announced that we would not be writing for Wikipedia anymore. We, the members of this project, are sad that he will not be able to continue to spread the word of Hispanics' contributions here on the web, but I, for one, feel honored that he has entrusted us with the duty of continuing and improving his excellent work.

Tony, rest assured that your contributions, your wisdom, and the help you provided to all of us when we were new users will be remembered for generations. Que Dios te bendiga, Tony, y que tu recompensa sea grande en el Reino de los Cielos.

Viva Puerto Rico libre. —Agüeybaná 16:52, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

Admin-ship

Well unless something goes terribly wrong you are going to pass RFA in less than an hour with unanimous support. Naturally it will take some time to get entirely familiar with the tools so I recommend taking a quick browse to the new admin school to help you fasten this process. One last thing, since Eddie will award you the traditional admin-ship soon you need the official sysop uniform beforehand, congrats! - Caribbean~H.Q. 03:36, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

Felicidades

Welocme to the club. Estoy muy orgulloso de ti y orgulloso de ser tu amigo. I know that you will be a great admin. Que Dios te bendiga. Tony the Marine 04:24, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

¡Enhorabuena!

Ahora eres un admin en la Wikipedia inglés. Make sure to spend some more time on the admin reading list and be conservative with your shiny new tools. For example, it's better to de-escalate than block, if possible. Keep up the good work, and again, congratulations. And sorry I wasn't sure if enhorabuena was a commonly used word in Puerto Rico. I figured you'd get the intent. :) - Taxman Talk 04:31, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

Congratulations!! Yayy :) Welcome to mayhem! - Alison 04:33, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

Admin ship

I, Eddie, as your nominator to administrator status, present you with your admin ship today, October 2 2007. Pilot her well!
¡Que Dios te bendiga!
  • You can place the traditional admin plaque on your user page, like tradition (smile). Sobre nuestro amigo, le recomende a Caribbean que haga la nominacion, ya es tiempo. Tony the Marine 15:37, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

Zorglbot on WP:RFD

Sorry for not having replied earlier (I haven't spent much time doing bot work at the moment)... yes, Zorglbot can probably be used to update the RFD pages. Has it been discussed already or is it only an idea for now ? Schutz 12:07, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

Can I reply comments more than once in the RFD discussions? David Pro 19:13, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

Re:Hispanic Admirals in the U.S. Navy

Your comments are well founded, I don't mind them at all. As a matter of fact I mayself have stated that I no longer care weather it is de-listed or not. If you take a look at the Talk page of the article, I have taken care of the concerns posted, just to make it a bettter article, regardless if it stays GA nor not. My only concern is that I do not like the Anti-Hispanic sentiment stated by some. I don't care if it is delisted as long as it because it failed GA criteria and not because of the racial issue. After it is de-listed, I do not wish to have any of the articles which I have created nominated for anything and that includes FLC. I'am tired of all the racial shit that's going on in Wikipedia and I am not going to tolerate it. Que Dios te bendiga. Tony the Marine 05:51, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

Wikipedia:WikiProject United States/The 50,000 Challenge

You are invited to participate in the 50,000 Challenge, aiming for 50,000 article improvements and creations for articles relating to the United States. This effort began on November 1, 2016 and to reach our goal, we will need editors like you to participate, expand, and create. See more here!
