License tagging for Image:Goyo-8507s.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Goyo-8507s.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

Hashiguchi Goyo edit

Your article on Goyo is an excellent one; a great way to start your involvement with Wikipedia and a most welcome contribution. My primary purpose in writing here is simply to say thanks and welcome, and to offer a little praise on a job well done.

If you're planning on contributing more in the future, I'd invite you to join Wikipedia:WikiProject Japan, so you can see what others are working on, see what topics need doing, and so you can both give and recieve help on articles from others with similar interests and knowledge. I hope to see you around soon. LordAmeth 12:00, 19 May 2006 (UTC)Reply
