Orphaned non-free image (File:N648150243 923897 6576thumbnail 344105936.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading File:N648150243 923897 6576thumbnail 344105936.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. FileBot (talk) 07:04, 22 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use Image:Nayla.jpg edit

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Nayla.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. 72.88.101.36 (talk) 01:56, 26 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Yamaya1.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:Yamaya1.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stifle (talk) 11:54, 2 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs edit

Hello Miss-simworld! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 1,214 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

Michel Aflaq edit

Miss-simworld (talk) if Michel Aflaq really did convert, then please provide a credible source. I have always read that Saddam always claimed that Aflaq converted on his death bed, but in other articles Aflaq's family members have vehemently refuted that. There is no reliable source that proves that he converted, if you do find a reliable source then please add it. And with regards to Fairuz Miss-simworld (talk) regardless of the fact that her father was Assyrian and the fact that she was Greek Orthodox, because she married Assi Rihbani (which you recognize!), you don't know whether she identified as Arab or not; however Fairuz was always linked on that site and since you are the one removing it, you are the one who has to find a reliable source that states that she never identified herself as "Arab". I definitely agree that using one's language as their identity is pretty tricky business, for example Americans are never called "English" even though they speak English; however in Lebanon and the wider Arab world we have many people who do call themselves "Arab". Whereas in the former case there are no Americans who call themselves English. I suggested before (maybe if you read all my comments on the talk page, instead of just reading one) and with consensus changed the title to "Arabic Christians and Arabic-Speaking Christians", but somebody reverted it.George Al-Shami (talk) 23:07, 31 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

George Al-Shami please do not delete sourced passages, you can add your sources, but in Wikipedia you don't delete other passages that are well-sourced. talk you are clearly misinformed about this subject. Please read this article about the Ghassanids, before you make further editsGeorge Al-Shami (talk) 23:29, 31 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
Miss-simworld lol, you have clearly not read the article Ghassanids and you have not checked the sources. If you check the Encyclopedia Britannica (the UK, where you are from :))source you'll notice that the article pretty much depends on this source. Respectfully Miss-simworld, if you take a step back and check your passages, you'll realize everything you're arguing is based on your personal opionins and views. Without even checking the sources for Ghassanids article, you attacked it and claimed that pan-Arabists are behind it, even though if you check the article you'll see that it is mostly based on the Encyclopedia Britannica source, lol. And if you go to Amazon.com you'll see that the majority of books on this subject are written by WesternersGeorge Al-Shami (talk) 00:37, 1 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

arabism edit

I understand your opinion and I know some people hold these views but, I am not so sure about the equation Arabism = Islamism. As you probably know the vanguards of pan-arabism Gamal Abdul Nasser, Michel Aflaq, and Constantine Zureiq were all resolutely against Islamism. The Egyptian leader executed a number of Islamic fundamentalists in the mid 1960's, the most prominent Islamic fundamentalist he killed was Ahmed Qutb. Islamists usually don't give a damn about Arabism or nationalism; what they want to create is an Islamic "umma". They don't care about borders or languages; the extreme Islamic fundamentalist want to make the whole world Islamic. For some Islamists their native tongue is Arabic, so they use this language to propagate their ideas, but a lot of Islamists are Pakistani/Iranian/Turkish etc. With regards to Antun Saadeh, yes absolutely he was completely against pan-arabism and I'm the one who removed the category "Arab nationalist" from that article, it took many references until other editors stopped putting back the "Arab nationalist category". And actually what you interpreted as POV for the Phoenician claim is actually true, it's not POV. Notwithstanding the national geographic study that was well publicized and that did find Phoenician DNA, the Lebanese and the Lebanese school textbooks exaggerate their links to the Phoenicians. By the way the NG DNA research found Phoenician DNA, but that doesn't mean there is no Arab, Greek, Mediterranean DNA. If you're interested about this I really recommend you read Kamal Salibi's A house of many mansions. It is the best book I ever read about Lebanese and Syrian history. This scholar has been studying this region for more than half a century and his book is only 234 pages, depending on how fast you read it could take from a couple of days to 1 month. His book challenged my views on a number of fronts; for instance I used to believe that the Syrians/Lebaneses/Palestinians/Jordanians were 0% Arab before the Arabic Islamic invasion of Syria in 634 AD. (By the way historians refer to the 4 countries just mentioned as "Syria" before 1918.) Anyways I thought that the Syrians/Lebanese/Palestinians/Jordanians spoke ONLY Syriac before the Arab Muslim Invasion, but Salibi turns this view on its head and explains using medieval histocial sources that the Eastern Mediterraneans (Syrians/Lebanese/Palestinians/Jordanians) spoke Arabic as the common language and only spoke syriac during religious practice. This was a big revelation for me to find out that our ancestors spoke Arabic before the Arab Muslim conquest of Syria in 634 AD. This does not mean that the Syrian/Lebanese are 100% ethnically Arab, from my accumulated knowledge the Lebanese like the Syrians are a mix of 4-5 ethnic groups Phoenician/Canaanite/Arab/Greek and Western European -especially during the Crusades-. Anyways there is too much to say about this, it is very interesting! but if you read the book you will learn a lot about your ancestors; you will not regret it :)!.By the way if you check the Arab Christians talk page I started a survey about changing the title of that article.George Al-Shami (talk) 03:07, 1 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Honey you are making unfounded statements left and right. You should understand 1 thing When I speak to you of a historical event that does not mean I support or disagree with the historical event; this is the main thing you keep confusing. In your edit you said that Muslim rulers who gave religious freedom to minorities is POV, this is not POV..whether you like it or not, it is a historical fact. Now the Muslim rulers DID discriminate against the Christians, no doubt about that- and There are other things they did I can tell you about, but if you are a scholar or a professional academic , you don't just mention the negative you also mention the postive, as a professional that's what we do! We give the whole picture and not just the negative. Miss world you are mixing opinion and fact together, that is what I'm not doing.

Be careful, Miss world you made a number of naive remarks, if a historian mentions a historical fact that does not mean they glorify it! Be careful Miss woerld,. be very careful, you are jumping to conclusions with respects to my beliefs even though you don't know anything my beliefs. and that's where you go wrong....you are misinterpreting and mixing historical facts that I am presenting to you!! :) :)and here's the proof because when I am talking about historical facts I am presenting NPOV evidence and and with the NPOV facts you are not able to gauge my opinion, but since you are making mostly pov remarks in your responses I am able to gauge your opnnion. LOL LOL... I am careful to talk about fact and add some opinion, wheeras you have your opinion all over the ploace. Notice when I do talk about beliefs one of my response to you..I say "it is my belief".. One last thing Kamal is a historian NOT an ideologue...he DOES NOT propagate any ideology in his book whatsoever. He is 100% professional I am telling you, because this is my forte/major ! so I know ! LOL There are many ideologues who try to pass as historian, but people like me are able to tell right away. And the distinguished mR. Salibi is not one of those people.

Anyways ..Anyways..Miss world there's a lot of things I want to explain and tell you about...that's why I really think we should take this conversation outside of Wikipedia...What I am so happy about is that you Love this region and you are very interested about it.. I admire that, because as you probably know a lot of the Syrian/lebanese Christians who are born in the West don't know anything about our world and they can care less and that bothers and saddens me a lot. Anyways I'm not a fast typist and it's taking too long to respond to you and there's like 98% of things that I want to say , but I'm not being able to because of time and space constraints. Anyways.... I am enabling the e-mail feature in my account so that you can send me an e-mail, and if you you do likewise I would be able to e-mail you. if you are interested we could continue this on Skype, you know it's much faster.

I agree with yasmina that Arabism is a form of intolerance and racism

File:Chamounfamily2.jpg edit

Hi Miss-simworld, I see that you've uploaded a different image here after the last one was deleted. While it seems true that, if published in Lebanon when created, the image is public domain, do you have any proof that it was ? If it was, as I suspect, first publised in the United States or Europe, then the image is still copyrighted - Peripitus (Talk) 10:10, 2 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Another editor has decided that the image was first published in the United States, and so it is not a free image. Unfortunately, unless there is proof that this was first published in Lebanon, it will have to be deleted - Peripitus (Talk) 02:47, 8 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi edit

I go by what reliable sources say as to who and who is not a Jew. Uri Davis defined himself as one, and as a Palestinian Jew, according to what reliable sources say. If you have a reliable source that says he has converted to Islam, please do add it to add the article. I haven't been able to find one.

About the Palestinian people and their possible Jewish ancestry, there is already a lot information of that topic (perhaps too much) at the article on them. You should read it if you are interested in the subject. I added a lot of it myself. My mother always use to say that Palestinians were once Jews who converted to Christianity when Jesus came and that most of them then converted to Islam when Muhammad came. She thinks it is one of the great ironies of the conflict that brothers and sisters are killing one another. Tiamuttalk 09:36, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Suha Arafat edit

Miss world there are sources that dispute Suha's conversion to Islam. Let me teach you: the majority of Arab Christians who convert to Islam do so to marry their lover, not because of their devotion to Islam; meaning their conversion is on paper only. Very few actually practice Islam, conversely for the majority it is not a real conversion (I have actually read articles about this), because they still celebrate Christian holidays. Now you have mistakenly assumed that once a person converts to another religion it is cut in stone, not true! Now Suha's case it's obvious she's after the money and I added a source to back that up. The hajj and all the other things she is doing is publicity honey, so she can get her money and keep any PA official silent from raising questions about her religion. Now I can tell you that Suha slipped, in one interview with Al Arabiya station she forgot to remove the Christmas tree in the background. Now miss world would a real convert have a Christmas tree in her office?George Al-Shami (talk) 20:12, 7 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Yasmina you have a listed source about Suha performing the hajj and I have a listed a source that questions her conversion, you have a listed a category that's provides more info about those who converted and I have listed 2 categories about her "purported" former religion, what is wrong with keeping both the category you placed and the categories I returned to the article?George Al-Shami (talk) 00:47, 27 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hawi edit

Miss world welcome to Wikipedia, you should know a couple of things just because a person has converted or changed their beliefs that's not grounds for you to remove their category. For instance in the george Hawi, why are you denying readers the opportunity to learn about his original faith. We all know that he was a leader of the communist party, but you should not deny readers from learning about his original culture and religion. For instance there's an Asian American conservative commentator and she rejects being labeled "Asian", however she is still ethnically Asian and that category should still be there so readers learn about "Asian Americans". That's the way it works. Wikipedia is meant to be inclusive.George Al-Shami (talk) 20:41, 7 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

It is pretty clear that you cannot contribute to the Brigitte Gabriel Article neutrally. If you continue to add youtube sourced content to biographies of living people you will be blocked from editing. --Leivick (talk) 21:05, 8 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have contributed neutrally, you just dont like what i added. which is 100% fact from either Gabriel herslef or fellow neo-cons♥Yasmina♥ (talk) 21:08, 8 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Read and understand WP:BLP. Bloggers and youtube are not appropriate sources in a biography of a living person. The rules for these type of biographies are very strict the sources must be good or the material must be removed. --Leivick (talk) 21:11, 8 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
It is obvious that you cannot edit this article neutrally. You clearly have an agenda. If you continue to edit war you will be blocked from editing. --Leivick (talk) 21:15, 8 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

You have been temporarily blocked from editing for abuse of editing privileges. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.

You have been blocked for 48 hours for continued violations of WP:BLP. While blocked you really need to read WP:NPOV and WP:RS to understand what types of sources are appropriate. In the future you must use article talk pages to discuss controversial edits rather than edit warring. --Leivick (talk) 21:19, 8 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

NPOV? dont make me laugh your the most POV editor i have ever ecountered who was so desperate to cover blantant facts over that Brigitte Gabriel (Hanan Tudor) fraud you've blocked me and deleted my sources. Well done, It must be hard knowing those trashy Gabriel books were a waste of money loool whatever do what you like atleast i know this con-artist doesnt fool me.♥Yasmina♥ (talk) 21:27, 8 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Yasmina, you need to listen to those talking to you and not use POV as an arguing point. If Leivick had not blocked you, it is likely I or another administrator would have. Your sources are often poor and you are edit warring to push your agenda. Leivick is not pushing a point-of-view on the subject and neither is myself or others disputing the material you add, I for instance know nothing of her and have no opinion about her. If you return from the block and continue the same activity you will be blocked again, and probably for a much longer time. The talk page is the place to discuss this - the article is not a forum for you to express your strongly held views on her - Peripitus (Talk) 02:25, 9 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Here is the thing, Id like to be aware WHERE exactly was it? was MY personal view of Gabriel marked in the article itself? Quote me in the article itself? Did I state a personal view of Brigitte Gabriel from POV? Pointing out she called Iranians arabs is NOT POV but a fact or that the fox news team asked her how Obama's Farsi was. Is hardly me marking my own opinion. hmmmm My personal opinion? not that of Gabriel's(Hanan Tudor) own words or even that of her fellow neo-cons? She is a controversial figure who many can question her tell-tells (including her own kind) many people have a criticism sections including upleading Academics (which she is not btw) why should she be any different? If anything its balancing the article out. Also if I were to source (which would of been easy to do) where she states she buried in Lebanon then reburied her parents in Mt Zion but also state the obviously fact that Christians in Lebanon DONT bury their dead only the muslims do this, this would of been deleted aswell.since its quite clear there is a pro-Gabriel bias protected on that page where ANYthing that defames her with evidence in a displeasing light gets blocked or deleted. However her fairy-tale book is considered a reliable source LOOOOOOL ♥Yasmina♥ (talk) 08:24, 9 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have now added Criticism Of Gabriel. I was able to do this since Dr. Franklin Lamb is a qualified researcher and author at the American University of Beirut. He is known as a Reliable source since he is qualified to talk on such matters. Likewise, Ahmed Bedier from CAIR is a Reliable source and is qualified to talk also. Actual criticism of her ideas are more difficult to come by since Radical Muslims do indeed follow the Koran strictly. Whether Radical Muslims will succeed in taking over the world as Gabriel seems to threaten can be argued with. But not many Reliable sources seem to want to take up the argument because I'm guessing that Islam has too many holes in it and it's difficult to defend.122.107.141.196 (talk) 22:39, 9 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Islam? hahahaha you think I know this woman a fraud because I am a Muslim or trying to defend Islam HAHAHAHAHAHAHA what an ignorant assumpation I know this woman is liar and shameless self-promoter because I am a christian who is of Lebanese,Syrian and Egyptian descent.I am not defending Islam here infact i am against Islamism, but Gabriel makes little argument about Islam she only blabbers how inferior muslims are and how israelis and american christians are saints. She has no qualified credentials whatsoever on geo-politics or on the social & religious structure and does not qualify as a political analyst or Historian, shes only someone who blabbers her big mouth and is conning idiotic people into buying her trashy books to fill her wallet and ego. She lies on several occasions about the situation in Lebanon and fabricates sections of Lebanese history. ANYBODY who purposely distorts history and stories should be put into question needs CRITICISM page even Walid Shoebat has one why should she be any different.♥Yasmina♥ (talk) 08:52, 10 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

If you want listen to people who make REAL criticism of Islam listen to Robert Spencer,Richard Dawkins,Salman Rushdie,Maryam Namazie and Pat Condell. Replaceable fair use File:NawalAlZoghbi2010.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:NawalAlZoghbi2010.jpg.

Replaceable fair use File:Tracy chamoun.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Tracy chamoun.jpg.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

hey arent you the same Pro-Brigitte Gabriel editor from the other Article? There are none free images it is not aimed to be put in the article permantly, only for temporary period UNTIL free Images Ive stated this before its not long term.I am looking into finding free Images fro these people but until then these were put for time being.♥Yasmina♥ (talk) 11:01, 11 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Non-free images of living people are almost always deemed replaceable. Though we may not have a free image now, it is seen that hosting a non-free image discourages the creation of a free one. - Peripitus (Talk) 11:39, 11 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Both articles are nearly 4 years old all the images ppl did upload (which I advised them not to) where all copyrighted or they didnt know had to put the right information in. I have made requests to wikipedians if they have this photos. However I think it may come down to me contacting various sources for permission I can do this but he issue of proving permission is what i need to be understand how it works.♥Yasmina♥ (talk) 19:47, 11 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

The expectation is that a free image could be created. Though there may not be a free image at the moment, A wikipedian—or someone else—could take a photograph of them and release under a free licence. If you do manage to get an image, say from their agent, just follow the steps at photo submission and the permission will be permanently recorded in the OTRS system - Peripitus (Talk) 20:51, 11 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thank you edit

Thank you very much for your efforts! It's nice to find someone who is fighting the same battle against those pan-Arabists :) I don't think it's even necessary to provide a word on Egyptians' or Lebanese's viewpoint on Arab nationalism in that article. If people are interested, they can refer to the articles on Egyptian nationalism or Lebanese nationalism. But that article is talking about Arabs, and neither we nor you are Arabs. It's a simple fact. I will keep fighting these people, unless they decide to change the title into Arabic-speaking or something of the sort. Let me know what you think, and thanks again :) --Ⲗⲁⲛⲧⲉⲣⲛⲓⲝ[talk] 17:32, 16 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

I agree with every single thing you said. That's what they usually do when they cannot come up with decent explanations or their POV: they accuse you of being someone's sockpuppet to scare you and make you quit the fight prematurely. They just reverted my edits on Arab Christians, I will need your help reverting back if you could. We should also look for other users who share our point of view to help us against these pan-Arabists. Oh, and by the way, it's funny that you're 1/4 Egyptian, because I'm 1/4 Lebanese. Small world :) --Ⲗⲁⲛⲧⲉⲣⲛⲓⲝ[talk] 18:58, 16 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

intresting article!! could you send me the link to the original site link? thanks it true what it says it is racism the worse kind i have ever seen, even if I was to find out that I was descended from an Arabian tribe (which is unlikely) that converted to Christianity I would never accept Arabism because today it's meaning is simple = islamism and excepting that Islamic culture is dominant to all. There is NO secular arabism that truely exists. It's a myth and a lie. Pan-Arabism is the Arab Nazism Germany was only able to flourish when that totalitarian and racist ideology was banished and abandoned it can only be the same for the middle east. Without it you will see more people being able to express and think for themselves and accept indiviuality and cultural/racial diversity and ofcourse minorities would be better off.♥Yasmina♥ (talk) 06:47, 21 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Unfortunately, everything you say above shows that your points of view are unacceptable on Wikipedia. And are WRONG. --Arab Cowboy (talk) 13:02, 21 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

This is the problem with pan-arabists you want to force your opinion with even those who disagree with it read the book The origins of totalitarianism then tell me I am the only one who thinks or argues that. Pan-Arabism is a racist and failed ideology. Which has the victims of many innocent people. Arabism is racism!, it is one of the most racist ideology ever to exist, it has been embedded with bigotry of its ultra nationalism against all non-Arabs or forcing the Label onto to non arabs and comitting cultural genocide (as well real life genocide like the farhud in Iraq and massacre in Darfur) since its inception, past and currect main victims of its racism include: Kurds (mainly in Iraq & in Syria), Berbers (in north Africa), Jews (Jewish victims of Arabism were even before Israel's re-establishment and today include not just in the middle east), black Africans (mosly in the Sudan, Mauritania, Egypt, but not exclusively) and Christians (Egypt and Lebanon) who have fell victim to this ideology.♥Yasmina♥ (talk) 14:54, 21 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

vandalism edit

Miss sim world you have no right to start vandalizing Arab American articles and start removing the category, that is extreme POV. The Arab American Institute was started by a Lebanese Christian and they list all Americans from Arab descent as Arab Americans and this term is routinely used by the media, which means we have sources describing these individuals as Arab Americans; moreover a lot of Arab Americans are proud to be listed by this organization; just go and check their site. But, most importantly this category groups together Americans whose origins are from the Arab world, Miss world Wikipedia is meant to be inclusive. The categories are there for readers to view articles of people from similar origins. Therefore you have the Lebanese category, the Syrian category, the Christian category. Would you accept it if some other troll editor came along and decided to remove the Christian category on all Arab Christians? on the basis that there's no evidence that the person in question identifies as Christian. Miss world I hope you understand and can come to your senses and understand what you are doing is against Wikipedia's inclusive policy. If you don't then you will force me to seek help in stopping your disruptive edits. I come to you first as a sign of good gesture.George Al-Shami (talk) 04:32, 21 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

The education of Yasmina continues edit

Yasmina concerning Gibran's birthplace, we have already argued and come to a compromise, by placing his historical birthplace first and the term modern lebanon second. If you want to see what NPOV is about go check the George Washington article and see what Wikipedia editors have listed as his birthplace. You will notice, honey, that he WAS NOT born in the United States, that's because when he was born it did not exist! Do you get that, or do you want me to explain it to you further. Washington was born in the 13 Colonies, he became American when he helped create it that state, but at the time of his birth it did not exist. Moreover if you do something called "research" you will find out that Gibran was a die-hard Syrian nationalist. I saw your edits on the pan-arabism article and I was really disgusted at your edits, editors like you are seriously damaging Wikipedia. I did not revert, but these edits have to be checked out. Yasmina, respectfully, check how other more experienced editors edit. I'm pretty sure you are a nice person and it hurts me to to talk you in a blunt manner, but your extreme naive POV edits compels me to. This is why I mentioned Skype before, because there are so many things I want to explain to you.George Al-Shami (talk) 22:52, 24 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Congrats you found an appropriate source. Your accusation of "racism" doesn't hold when speaking about Lebanon, Syria or Egypt, but the factual racism is taking place in Sudan. So if you want to add more to that section, I suggest you read about what's happening in Sudan. February 2010 edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Pan-Arabism. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. nableezy - 21:47, 25 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Civility edit

Hello. You've been editing for a couple of years so I'm sure you're familiar with many of Wikipedia's policies. I would like to request that you read two policies: WP:CIVILITY and Wikipedia:No personal attacks. While on RC Patrol I came across Talk:Arab Christians and Arabic-speaking Christians. I want to say from the beginning that I have no background in that topic and no idea who is right or wrong about the article contents. That's not why I'm here. I dropped by to make sure you know of the civility policies, and to point out that the community considers civility to be one of the five pillars of Wikipedia. While reading that talk page I noticed that the editor whom you disagree with always discusses the content, while you often include barbs or personal attacks in your comments. Please keep in mind that we are all expected to discuss the content, not the editor. Thank you. 152.16.59.102 (talk) 06:09, 12 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

The person in question is looking for a needless edit war on purpose merely because they are a brainwashed racist i am sorry but just read the attacks they sent on me. Civility? the person in question accused me and another user of being socks and tried to get me suspended merely because they dont want to have that section in the article due to their own POV and is purposely vandalising my section of the article. ♥Yasmina♥ (talk) 09:08, 12 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

I understand that you have a difference of opinion and a contentious history with that editor, but please abide by Wikipedia policies. Another person's actions do not excuse personal attacks on your part. You alone are responsible for the words that you place on Wikipedia pages. Please do not make personal attacks on other editors. Please discuss the content, not the editor. 152.16.59.102 (talk) 09:19, 12 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

You are blocked from editing. Until that is resolved, there is nothing else that can be done. You may appeal the block, as outlined above.  Chzz  ►  11:36, 21 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Did you not Listen to my complain or even bother to read it? I am not complainig about the block I am complaining about the fact this user keeps harrasing me. thats my problem. Even now they are trying to drag another sock case against me and another user which has already been proven false--♥Yasmina♥ (talk) 11:44, 21 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Could you please clarify and specify the alleged harassment, so that we can investigate. Thanks,  Chzz  ►  12:21, 21 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

{{adminhelp}} First of all this person has an obsession with trailing my edits go on the page and ONLY focuses their attention on disrupting the section I have been edited on and takes away sources or misues them to undermine the section. The article after protection had been pretty much not touched until HE started playing the same games again to incite an editing war. Also it's worth noting the section I created in the article is perhaps ONLY part of it that has sources and citations. [3] Here on the talk board he ONLY focueses attention on my sources and citation when the fact is and when I answer back to justify my edits he doesnt respond or states I am cluterring the page just for me defending myself. [4]

This is one of the many complaints he has put against me [5]

During my editing he purposely placed these hateful edits of vandalism (In an Article) which were no doubt were directed at me and another user who he is obsessed with (even though proven otherwise) he thinks is my sock. He cannot accept the fact that there are christians who reject the arab label and he is very bitter about this that is why he keeps edit warring with me because does not want to let that information come out. He is also bitter about the title of the article being added Arabic speaking Christians form the lone Arab Christians he wants it changed again. [6] [7] [8] [9]

When awrongful revert complaint was made against me by Hobit the user openly admitted they were hoping for my block even there was no case against me that I think this is what motivated him to provoke an edit war with me thinking he do that then complain about that then i would be blocked for editing since he admitted that was his inention. However it's partially backfired and he is blocked aswell.

[10] They trailed comments I made with another user and accused us both being socks they questioned my baptisim and my religious beliefs as dubious and tried to argue I was not a Christian (in case about sock accounts not religious beliefs). Even after this case was proven false they still are now accusing me and the user of being socks of the same this shows how far this person's paranoia towards me is.[11] --♥Yasmina♥ (talk) 18:29, 21 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Did you even bother to read my original post above? or just skimmed it? this has nothing to do with the blocking thing I am making a complaint of harrasment! Dont you understand I am not complaining about the block I am complaining about harrasment here! i honestly dont care about the block since that person was blocked too but this harrasment this person who continues to wikihound me has to stop!♥Yasmina♥ (talk) 21:10, 21 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi there! I saw the copy of the above message, on my talk page. There is nothing that I can personally, directly do - but, I suggest that you follow Wikipedia:Harrassment#Dealing with harassment - in the first instance, this looks more like disagreement about content than anything else, so if you could stay calm and follow the suggestions in WP:DISPUTE - such as, asking for a third opinion, or perhaps asking the WP:Mediation Cabal for help. The more formal methods are also explained in the links; I hope this helps. Best of luck,  Chzz  ►  09:10, 22 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Cheryl Tweedy has officially divorced Ashley Cole. We should therefore reflect the change on the Cheryl Cole page.

I think you mean seperated,I heard she hasnt filed the divorce case yet if even she did file for divorce now it takes 2-3 months (quikie as they call it) to finish and a six week period to be finalized. Even so she may chose to keep the surname for comericial purposes like Demi Moore did keep the first name of her 1st husband for stage purposes. ♥Yasmina♥ (talk) 11:49, 23 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Kasia Al Thani edit

A tag has been placed on Kasia Al Thani requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles – see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 19:42, 4 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite edit

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 11:13, 20 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
