Sadly I've not been awarded any barnstars based on my actual contributions. Like you I've taken on projects which require edits across multiple pages without recognition of others. Personally I'm not bothered by this. Service awards however are easier to get, so easy you can do it your self, just look at and follow the guidelines at Wikipedia:Service awards. If need be you can research yourself and your edits through the tool server by way of programs such as Interiots edit counter[1]. You can also confirm your first logged in edit as a user by clicking on my preferences.
You may wish to add the edit counter to your user page for later research by adding {{userinfo}} to the very top.
My research would show you have been a member for 16 Months and have made 1777 (1499 Mainspace) edits. According to Wikipedia:Service awards you are officially only an Apprentice but could also award yourself the earlier service award of Novice. The guidelines are clear for service awards, not just time as a member of the community but also edit count.
Furthermore there are often Barnstar Drives for performing needed tasks often listed in the villiage pump and community portal.
My only advice to you would be don't take anything personally, quality is still better than quantity, and include more edit summaries (which also reduces the chances of reversion). Slysplace talk ♫ 21:45, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

If you think that there are reliable sources to prove the notability of her descendants, then they should be in separate articles for each of them. Corvus, I notice that you are not an administrator. If you are a commited wiki contributor, you would see how much I have contributed. And calling my article sneaky is rather adolescent of you. The dynasty of Leonid Kogan and his wife Elizabeth Gilels, is an important one in the music world. Leonid Kogan is described in all of the history books, and encyclopedias as a legendary violinist. His wife is from the same circles and is considered an important violinist and one of the great pedagogues of the Soviet School. Her teacher ABRAM ILICH YAMPOLSKY is a world renowned pedagogue of the Soviet School of Violin. Who's students went on to become legendary. These figures of the music world have earned the right to these titles. Every known book mentions them in these terms. If you have issues, look them up to confirm your reservations. But please, stop belittling the legendary musicians and pedagogues by taking out the superlatives that they have earned in history. Would you call Einstein just a Scientist? Please help. I seem to be having a problem with emerson7 undoing work that I have contributed. The adds. that I have made are self explanatory. The issue is with "Performers who have used or are using Guadagnini instruments"
The performers who have used (and most of them are deceased), are linked to wiki articles. The instruments that these artists used, are linked to a professional database cozio.com. The links are to specific instruments they have used (which are marked accordingly on cozio site). If emerson7 is not familiar with such information, he/she should either get familiar & or try to correct whatever it is that he/she does not agree with. But deleting valuable information and reverting it back to the way it was, which was insufficient for that reason had these posted:

firstly, i think the word you seek is debunked, not rebuked. secondly, i reverted because whether or not the research was invalidated, it nevertheless passes the test of relevance, and is of importance to the overall story of the mystic of the stradivari instruments. thirdly, since i personally have not reviewed navagry's research, i didn't think it appropriate for me to either defend his work, or challenge your claim.

Notability of Jean Adam / bow maker edit

To ascertain a consensus about using info boxes on instrumentalists, we should have more time to see what that consensus truly stipulates. At the moment the guidelines don't reflect a major consensus against info boxes for violinists, they reflect the consensus on Composers Project and the Opera Project.See Wikipedia:WikiProject Classical music#Biographical_infoboxes. So if you don't mind, I would rather like to see info box for Garcin and other violinists. Hi. An article you created on Mainspace does not meet guidelines for acceptable submissions, due to having no references, no introduction, no subject, no assertion of notability, no categories, and no content apart from the subject's name. If you know a better way of re-routing "Grand Adam" to the existing article, please make a correction. I have no intention of writing two identical articles under different titles. Since he is a reliable source for confirming and providing invaluable historic information, I cite him as well as experts such as Charles Beare and others. I am having problems explaining to an editor RadioFan (talk · contribs · count) that tagging an article before it is finished is not the ideal situation for trying to expand wikipedia. I have taken into account what he/she is trying to improve, but if they are not familiar with the Luthier and Archetier categories in wiki, they should not be deleting material & or tagging it as [not in citation given]. I have provided info (as per request by RadioFan), and acquired permission from the Smithsonian Institution to use a small part (bio on Jacques Francais).
It is not the most productive way one can help in expanding wikipedia. Deleting my previous posts on his/her talk back page, is quite telling. If he/she is not familiar with the categories of Luthier and Archetier, they should not intervene. You may also notice that I have expanded those categories a great deal. I consult with top experts, and provide all citations where necessary. Tagging an article while it is being written and expanded, is not courteous. - I removed those items from my talk page to keep the discussion in one place, there is no need to copy and paste between the two. Perhaps this should be taken to the article's talk page? Really, I am trying to help make this article better and am having trouble understanding why proper sourcing is such a big deal here. The ultimate goal is to get each article to featured article status. Rather than assume ownership, step back and look at the citations and see how they can be improved. Also, copyright violations are taken very seriously on wikipedia. - Hullo, as you may have seen I posted on RadioFan's talk page a few moments ago. I'd encourage you to continue the present discussion at the article's talk page. First of all, thank you for creating the content. I notice that you state you have permission from the Smithsonian institute for potentially copyrighted and incompatibly licensed material. For it to be used on Wikipedia, the copyright owner needs to agree to license the content under the GFDL version 1.2 and any later version. This permission then needs to be sent on to the OTRS (ticketing) system run by wikimedia to that it can be verified and archived.
- In terms of your specific dispute with RadioFan, I'd really encourage you both to take a step back and, effectively, get onto the same wavelength. You both have one aim - improving the encyclopedia, but you are going about it different ways. I'm sure you'll be able to come to a solution with a mutual concerted effort! Europe 10,000 Challenge invite edit
Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
