Attack pages edit

Hi. When you are New Page Patrolling, it's important to read through the pages, because a regrettable number are disguised attacks, like two just now: Timas day which accused its subject of being gay, having been raped by the vicar etc, and Douchebags film which is clearly meant to suggest that the named people qualify for the title. When you see one of those the thing to do is, first blank it (it's still there in the history for the admin to check) and then tag it {{db-atk}} or {{db-g10}}. That puts it in a high-priority queue for admin attention, and generates a suitably fierce warning message for the author's talk page. Keep up the good work - NPP needs all the eyes it can get! Thanks for the tip. Will keep in mind. M0RD00R (talk)

Our Lady of Zeitoun edit

I am not particularly impressed by what you have done to this article. After a couple of dozen edits (demonstrating a lack of planning) you have basically ended up with a sanitized mess. The original article had some cohesiveness. Now all that is left is a disjointed collection of random bits and pieces. Important research has been thrown away for no particular reason that I can see. New editors come along and run amuck over other people's careful work. Well, if this is how wikipedia works I want no further part in it. Danmav (talk) 03:20, 3 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Ivan Lopukhin edit

Hi, I was wondering if my rewritten article could now be moved to replace the one on copyright-infringement notice. As far as I understand, I am not allowed to do so myself. Cheers --Ohjay (talk) 13:36, 4 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Reversion edit

Thanks Reverting is not a way to choose the "correct" version. If Blogspot is used as a source, that is inappropriate. On the other hand, the edit that I saw included taking out SPRASD as a source, which is a legitimate one and inserting a {{fact}} tag in its place. That is not acceptable. You need to post on talk and seek consensus or make small and uncontroversial edits. This page has had a flurry of activity lately (as she's been in the news) and it's easy for legitimate edits to get swept away by mass deletions or large changes. —Justin (koavf)TCM☯ 20:37, 30 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Continued reversion I cannot be involved in the intimate details of editing the page—I'm just going to revert it if I see any vandalism. I'm sure that you can find some middle ground on the talk page and if it keeps on devolving into edit-warring and vandalism, then I will post to WP:AN. —Justin (koavf)TCM☯ 21:47, 30 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
