I deleted this image under terms of Wikipedia:Criteria_for_speedy_deletion#Images.2FMedia item #3. The reason is the source you noted for the image states that the use of this image in a commercial context requires permission. This is at odds with our image policy here in that we do not allow images that are used on a non-commercial only license. All images on Wikipedia fall into two broad categories; fair use and free license. This image did not fit into either of those categories. As such, it was deleted. USJC National Presidents

Can you tell me what was your source for the list of national presidents? I don't find it on www.usjaycees.org, and I am trying to clean up some of the redlinked hometowns of past presidents. For instance, I haven't been able to find a Basking Ridge, New York, but I know there is a Basking Ridge, New Jersey. Likewise, there is no East St. Louis, Missouri, but there is an East St. Louis, Illinois (across the river from St. Louis). We need to reference the article correctly, also. WP:Hornbook -- a new WP:Law task force for the J.D. curriculum

Hi Lucido68,

I'm asking Wikipedians who are interested in United States legal articles to take a look at WP:Hornbook, the new "JD curriculum task force".

Our mission is to assimilate into Wikipedia all the insights of an American law school education, by reducing hornbooks to footnotes.

• Each casebook will have a subpage.

• Over the course of a semester, each subpage will shift its focus to track the unfolding curriculum(s) for classes using that casebook around the country.
• It will also feature an extensive, hyperlinked "index" or "outline" to that casebook, pointing to pages, headers, or {{anchors}} in Wikipedia (example).
• Individual law schools can freely adapt our casebook outlines to the idiosyncratic curriculum devised by each individual professor.

• I'm encouraging law students around the country to create local chapters of the club I'm starting at my own law school, "Student WP:Hornbook Editors". Using WP:Hornbook as our headquarters, we're hoping to create a study group so inclusive that nobody will dare not join.

What you can do now:

1. Add WP:Hornbook to your watchlist, {{User Hornbook}} to your userpage, and ~~~~ to Wikipedia:Hornbook/participants.

2. If you're a law student,

• Email http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WP:Hornbook to your classmates, and tell them to do the same.
• Contact me directly via talk page or email about coordinating a chapter of "Student WP:Hornbook Editors" at your own school.

(You don't have to start the club, or even be involved in it; just help direct me to someone who might.)

As you may have already heard, the Wikipedia community lost an invaluable member of the community last month. Adrianne Wadewitz was a feminist scholar of 18th-Century British literature, and a prolific editor of the site. As part of a worldwide series of tributes, New England Wikimedians, in conjunction with local institutions of higher learning, have created three edit-a-thons that will be occurring in May and June. The events are as follows: May 21st at Northeastern University's Snell Library, in the Digital Scholarship Commons on the second floor May 22nd at Brown University's Rockefeller Library, in the Digital Scholarship Lab June 25th at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (exact location TBA), where we will also be hosting a "how to conduct an edit-a-thon" session beforehand We hope that you will be able to join us, whether you are an experienced editor or are using Wikipedia for the first time. Proposed deletion of Atlanta Junior Chamber (JCI Atlanta)

The article Atlanta Junior Chamber (JCI Atlanta) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

While the Atlanta Jaycees seem to be an important part of their community, I've seen nothin' to suggest that JCI Atlanta meets the wider requirements of WP:ORG that'd justify 'em having a separate article from United States Junior Chamber. I was unable to find solid sources for any claims that they had an outstanding impact on things like the development of U.S. Air Mail routes or MARTA. I believe that one could scrounge up enough sources to prove this branch at least warrants a section on its parent organization's page, but to me this article as it stands is so full of fluff n' cruft that it may need a dose of TNT

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
