The problem is that this templates uses the As of template, which can not handle this format with dates, just monthname and year. To be more precise, the template can handle it, but not the categorisation. In fact, I found this page in Category:Articles with invalid date parameter in template. I had to undo your change. I have updated the documentation to remove all dates and specify that only month and year should be used. Debresser (talk) 12:39, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

The real source of the problem is the format of {{As of}}, which diverges from the usual dateformat of all other mainenance template. The usual format is |date=April 2024, while {{As of}} uses {{As of|Year|MonthName|Day}}. Debresser (talk) 12:51, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Thanks I really appreciate them - one thing that kinda worries me is the neutrality...

This is a pretty good set of articles. I think we should be considering the main article for GA Candidate. The intro needs to be expanded, the "History" section needs to be turned into a narrative (summary), and we need to lose the gallery as "just" a place to put pictures (this role is now handled by commons), but otherwise I think this pretty much qualifies. Gallery pictures, if they illustrate a point, can be placed in the narrative. I will take a closer look over the next couple of weeks. I will not have time to help with this for the next month or so, but after that I would be willing to help answer GA issues during a push. Donlammers (talk) 12:36, 27 May 2010 (UTC)

I have done some minor work today. I added Zoos templates to all the Zoo Basel sub-articles I spotted and did a preliminary assessment so that they appear in the WP Zoos quality listings. Also, these need better cross-linking with each other -- maybe a nav template at the bottom or something. I will think about this a bit and look around for precedents (I've not really dealt with a "set" of articles before). Donlammers (talk) 12:36, 27 May 2010 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of List of animals at Zoo Basel

The article List of animals at Zoo Basel has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Notability not established for this sublist. There are only 6 or so zoos / wildlife centres / similar with their own animal list on Wikipedia, and I'll prod all of them (unless they have some real claim to notability as a list). While this is by far the best of this group of articles, I still think it doesn't meet our notability requirements.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
