Actually, according to Wikipedia:Layout, disambiguation links need to be at the top of the article. Having them in the middle or at the end will confuse readers because they will have to read all the way down to find that it is not what they intended to read. --BorgQueen (talk) 06:11, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

Reply to your comment on my talk page

Hello and Welcome to Wikipedia, I've great respect for Sikhs, and that's the reason I've created this article. When people search for "Sardarji jokes" on Google, they thousands of nonsense jokes (often in poor taste). I wanted to create an article that would help people know about the jokes' origins, and how Sikh community feels about it.

The "Sikh perspective" is not being removed here -- the "original research" perspective is being removed here. Wikipedia is not about sourcing content only from "celebrities", but any source that classifies as reliable (e.g. books, newspapers, journals, notable blogs etc.). The blog published on o3.indiatimes.com is not notable -- it's not a reliable source.

Wikipedia needs to a policy regarding the reliability of sources, otherwise, it will turn into a junkyard of opinion pieces - another person could write a blog about how Sardarji jokes are very good, and might insist that his blog be included as a reference in the article.

Last time I removed the 12'o clock section, since it was tagged as unreferenced -- I failed to notice the Indian Express link and thought it is sourced from the blog as well -- my mistake. As for the blog, like I said, if we allow all kinds of sources, Wikipedia will turn into a junkyard. I'm sure somebody must have published a reply to Vir Sanghvi's editorial in a reliable source -- let's try to find such a piece, and add it to the article. utcursch | talk 11:19, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

Hi, I reverted your edit, since the report is hosted on the trade organization's website. This is hardly a reliable source. If you have a peer-reviewed study, then that has some potential, but the likelihood that this one is unreliable is too great.--Terrillja _talk 06:11, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for your message. I don't have a problem if someone has additional information, but I just checked it up in the Sen article. Thus I removed it. Your other reference to Sinha, I left alone since it seems like it could be and also there was a reference to it in another article.

Edit warring on Samara page

You seem to have been around a long time and should not edit war something that would lead you to be blocked or banned, not a threat or a warning just a friendly suggestiion. Yogesh Khandke (talk) 15:46, 26 June 2013 (UTC)

I have never included anything without a citation on Wikipedia. I think Sitush is bullying in his deletions of anything related to an author called James Tod. And then he is feigning ignorance of the fact that Samra and Sumra are different spellings of the same HIndi surname, something akin to Dutta/Datta, Agarwal/Agrawal, Misra/Mishra. He has ruthlessly vandalised the entire page and made it a stub after all the hard work that has gone into finding reliable well known sources of information on it. I am not a Wikipedia Pro, I seek your help in resolving this issue. If there is a dispute resolution mechanism on Wikipedia, I am willing to take my case there.Kulveer (talk) 08:28, 27 June 2013 (UTC)

Tod is history, I cant discuss history, under a topic ban. Regarding Samra=Sumra you need a reliable source for that. You could try wp:RSN, just don't attack editors, that also could get you blocked or banned. Yogesh Khandke (talk) 16:09, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
