regarding image: 9.3X62-30-06-8X57-6.5X55-308.JPG edit

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/7.92%C3%9757mm_Mauser#/media/File:9.3X62-30-06-8X57-6.5X55-308.JPG The image shows from the left are 9.3x62, 270 win, 8x57 and 308. Also the second cartridge from the left is a 270 win and not a 30-06. If you look carefully you will see that the bullet is smaler than the 308. If this was a 30-06 it should have a larger diameter, so this is a .270 win. This great phot is used at various pages, including the page on the 8x57 (8mm Mauser) i have tried to edit it, but it's always re-edited back to 30-06. Perhaps you as the contributor of the picture can change that. --Sola99 (talk) 07:54, 13 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

It is, indeed a 30-06 edit

No, it's not a .270 Win, I never owned and never loaded for the .270 Win. The case is a W-W 30-06 which is topped by a .30 caliber 165 grains Hornady SST bullet (SKU # 30452). I took the picture myself and I am 200% positive it's not a .270 Win, but really a 30-06. So please leave this as it is, it's just a perspective illusion. --Kalashnikov (talk) 11:26, 13 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
