Sadly our debate was never resolved

Thank you for closing the discussion. However I still disagree that "and so WP:NFCC#1 was clearly not satisfied in this case" is correct. As it turned out an image was found and quite quickly, if you look at the debate of Flickr then you will see that it was a very close thing. If the license change had been been refused or we had not found it for another ten years then would it still be "clearly not satisfied". It is true to say that it say, that it turned out to be "not satisfied" but to add the word "clearly" only makes sense IMO with 20:20 hindsight. The bar that is required to assure ourselves that an image will "never" be found, needs to be specified - we cannot have to draw a consensus for every new article's image. Victuallers The discussion got closed automatically by a bot, as the file was deleted. But I think it'd be worth having a centralised discussion about what WP:NFCC#1 actually means for recently deceased people, as there's clearly no consensus (and I can imagine the same questions coming up again within the next few days/weeks, the next time someone uses fair use image on someone recently deceased). Probably Wikipedia talk:Non-free content is best place for that. I also note that someone has added a note to the NFCC criteria about this, seemingly without discussion

Talk page

Just noticed your user talk page history and noticed two WP:IMPERSONATOR accounts have edited here.

On the "Iggy the Swan" part: I am currently seeking assistance on the possibility of preventing further impersonators on creating accounts similar to my own user name as I found two others with the same editing patterns. Just as well I have an email address attached to my account so that I can get my password back if I ever forget it.

With the "Joseph2302 2021" contributions: I've requested deletion of the user page of the impersonator account as I have identified the content there was just a blanked version of section headings from your user page which you've cleared out moments after. The edit summaries they gave out on the Joseph2302 2021 account from what I see is certainly bogus as well since people always log in to edit on the days when editing is made. Thanks, Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 17:48, 1 December 2021 (UTC)

ITN recognition for Siobhan Cattigan

On 2 December 2021, In the news was updated with an item that involved the article Siobhan Cattigan, which you nominated and updated. If you know of another recently created or updated article suitable for inclusion in ITN, please suggest it on the candidates page. PFHLai (talk) 01:37, 2 December 2021 (UTC)

Ask for advice

Hi. Merry Christmas and happy new year! Have you ever had a peer review with no replies (even after 5/6 months)? If so, what have you done in that/those occasion(s) with their articles? I ask so as I have a PR with no replies (in spite of my several asks and a wait of 5 months) and I have no idea if I should nominate for a FL their articles or not Dr Salvus 17:09, 25 December 2021 (UTC)

I haven't ever had a PR, so don't know the process for it unfortunately. Joseph2302 (talk) 17:11, 27 December 2021 (UTC)
