DYK for Charlotte Taylor (cricketer)

On 1 November 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Charlotte Taylor (cricketer), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that cricketer Charlotte Taylor was the top wicket-taker in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy, despite not being initially picked in the squads for the tournament? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Charlotte Taylor (cricketer). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Charlotte Taylor (cricketer)), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Thanks but in future, if I've been involved in a WT:FOOTY discussion about it recently, it'll be on my watchlist already, so no need for a notification. Joseph2302 (talk) 11:38, 6 November 2020 (UTC)

Yogabrata

I saw you speedy tagged the page, you might want to add a note under that for the admin, I was thinking it might of been quicker to post to WP:ANI about that LinkedIn, Paypal, emails. The user probably would be blocked for that. Govvy (talk) 11:28, 9 November 2020 (UTC)

Thanks, ANI started Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#Editor that's WP:NOTHERE. Joseph2302 (talk) 11:37, 9 November 2020 (UTC)

Block me right now, I'm bored Yogabrata (talk) 11:53, 9 November 2020 (UTC)

@Yogabrata: Wikipedia is not like a lot of other websites, its also an engine-system with rules driven by its user base. One has to learn, cohabitate and adapt. You can't ignore others, you can't blindly edit without consequence. You either adapt to this digital climate, or you do something else. Govvy (talk) 13:15, 9 November 2020 (UTC)

Absolutely, I understand. Thanks for guiding. But is it possible to delete my User page forever? Yogabrata (talk) 13:19, 9 November 2020 (UTC)

2020 Formula One World Championship

I see you've again reverted a good-faith edit, and used WP:BRD to justify that. I'd like to bring your attention to the following from that page:

  • BRD is not a valid excuse for reverting good-faith efforts to improve a page simply because you don't like the changes.
  • If you revert twice, then you are no longer following the BRD cycle.

My undo of the reversion was in part because it breaks WP:OWN:

  • Examples of ownership behaviour
    • An editor disputes minor edits concerning layout, image use, and wording in a particular article frequently.
    • An editor reverts a change simply because the editor finds it "unnecessary" without claiming that the change is detrimental.

I'm not sure why the F1 pages bring out so much of this kind of edit reversion. They're most certainly not welcoming.

-- AtomCrusher (talk) 16:22, 19 November 2020 (UTC)

I have not reverted twice, whereas you have (one edit and one revert). And considering that you're the one pushing one point without agreement or discussion, I would argue you're the one with WP:OWN issues. Multiple row spanning causes MOS:ACCESS issues with screen readers, and so should be avoided. Joseph2302 (talk) 16:24, 19 November 2020 (UTC)
An edit and a revert do not equal two reverts, I'm not sure how you've combined those. You reverted the same change for a second time, and whether it's the same user doing it is irrelevant. I'm also not sure how you've tried to turn WP:OWN back to me, as I'm not one of the users who seems to jump on every account that wants to make minor layout changes to the page. Rowspan hasn't caused issues for screen readers since the mid-2000s, and WP's own guidelines acknowledge this. -- AtomCrusher (talk) 16:27, 19 November 2020 (UTC)

That paved the way for Racing Point to announce Vettel – who won four consecutive championships with Red Bull between 2010 and 2013 - would be joining them, alongside Stroll, for their first season under the Aston Martin brand.'

See Talk:2021 Formula One World Championship, that article is making an assumption that Stroll will race based on Stroll Sr running the team. We wait until it's officially announced by the Racing Point/Aston Martin team. Joseph2302 (talk) 13:12, 20 November 2020 (UTC)

Oops

Yeah, I left the Lux article in rather substandard conditions. Fortunately there are plenty of sources that I can use to fill it out. Thanks for reminding me. DS (talk) 16:21, 23 November 2020 (UTC)
