Please do not write or add to an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you.   Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been undone.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continual disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Do not remove AFC decline templates from draft articles. They remain with the draft until it is accepted. Maybe you didn't notice that. Now you know.

The submission of autobiographies is discouraged largely because it is often very difficult for the subject to write neutrally about themselves. Robert McClenon (talk) 15:03, 13 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia is not for writing about yourself

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia, but it is not a place like Facebook or LinkedIn for people to write about themselves. It is a quite different sort of site, a project to build an encyclopedia, so it is selective about subjects for articles, and writing about oneself is strongly discouraged, for reasons explained at Wikipedia is not about YOU and Wikipedia:Autobiography.

The links in the Welcome message at the top of this page will tell you more about Wikipedia. CAPTAIN RAJU () 10:25, 21 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Anup: The subject sent an email to Wikimedia (ticket:2016102510004721) which satisfied me. I did caution the editor that they have a conflict of interest and gave advice on how to address issues.--S Philbrick(Talk) 20:37, 25 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
Thank you. I've invited them to article's talk page to suggest their changes. Anup [Talk] 21:03, 25 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
We are on the same page, that was the advice I gave (with the exception for negative unsourced information, which can be removed).--S Philbrick(Talk) 21:41, 25 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia is not your personal web-space

edit

Please stop repeatedly adding unverified information to your article. You can add all these stuffs on your personal website or social networking websites (Wikipedia is not any of them). I've undid your changes once again and I'm not liking it to go over there and revert your changes everytime. I would highly recommend you to take a look at our Conflict of Interest and Plain and Simple Conflict of Interest guidelines and follow suggestions offered there. If you want to add something in your article, do not directly edit the article, instead request your changes on article's talk page. Thank you. Anup [Talk] 10:19, 26 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
