hellooooo..... edit

hey gauruv! I'm back. my exams are over now. cheers, Sushant gupta (talk) 10:07, 27 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

hey dude, currently i am working on Glossary of geology terms. if you want the source for that we can complete it first. ALSO IF YOU WANT TO WRITE ANY OTHER SORT OF INTERESTING ARTICLE I am ready. i will suggest some more. waiting for your reply eagerly. Sushant gupta (talk) 10:12, 28 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
my exams were a bit tuff but they passed smoothly. how about yours! well i have NO problem writing this article in a new and cool form. i have seen you editing more on music and related topics. hope so you haven't suggested this article for my interest. be free in sharing your views bro. if you really want to write this article then let me tell you that there are 6 topics within this article and we can work on 3 topics each so that all 6 topics can be re-written in an easy manner. you can choose any 3 topics as per your will and interest. the major topics are given in the content itself. thanks, Sushant gupta (talk) 15:33, 30 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
fine lets start then. Sushant gupta (talk) 08:01, 31 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
i have just received a fabulous source. Click here to view the page. thanks, Sushant gupta (talk) 08:09, 31 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
not too sure. but the website is non profit. though the article is already having several pics but it would be better if we informative labelled figures. thanks for giving such a great idea. Sushant gupta (talk) 08:18, 31 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Geyser plumbing labelled figure is most likely free. the other needs permission. thanks, Sushant gupta (talk) 08:22, 31 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

use the template convert if needed anywhere.

how to use it
to write 7000 feet as 7,000 feet (2,134 m) use {{convert|7000|ft|m|0|lk=on}}. thanks, Sushant gupta (talk) 08:33, 31 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

pls. don't mind but i think that the above discussion is active. thanks, Sushant gupta (talk) 13:42, 31 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
fine now i am watching The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. maybe that would cure me. Sushant gupta (talk) 15:58, 1 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Click this link. it has good info. on geysers. i have also added it as ref. in the article. just thought to tell you. Sushant gupta (talk) 05:13, 2 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

may be you have added this user talk header for me so that next time i don't bark. anyway, i think rather than going directly for a FAC we can have this article go through GAC. thanks, Sushant gupta (talk) 11:38, 2 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

1)Should we have to write a new section on "Geothermal Energy"?

my opinion- i think "hyrdothermal" would be better. technically speaking since geysers are more related to hydrothermal circulation.

and 2)Can you suggest a better name for "Misnamed Geysers"?

my opinion- why not simply club it with types of geysers section. we both can share that section.

hope so you might my views satisfactory dude. thanks, Sushant gupta (talk) 17:02, 2 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

but geysers are based on hydrothermal circulations. see the eruptions section. i have explained the whole phenomena there. after reading it you can surely correlate them. the article you gave me as a link deals with geothermal power under which they discussed the uses of geysers for commercial purposes. no doubt that geysers are based upon geothermal phenomena but hydrothermal circulation is the correct technical term which should be used in context to geysers. oh yes, we can SURELY HAVE A SECTION uses of geysers and use the article geothermal power as a source. thanks, Sushant gupta (talk) 07:57, 3 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
by clubbing i actually meant we can discuss the misnamed section in brief instead of having a section for it. and then introduce a new section for uses of geysers. thanks for your sharing your views on talk:geysers. they need to be looked upon. Sushant gupta (talk) 08:06, 3 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

okay, i think you are right. can i create one more section if you don't mind on geyser formation. thanks, Sushant gupta (talk) 08:17, 3 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

don't worry about the map. that i will see. thanks, anything else you might think would be worthy! Sushant gupta (talk) 08:33, 3 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

One more page having cited info on geysers. don't confuse it with the previous link. thanks, Sushant gupta (talk) 10:24, 3 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

i have made a minor change in your section. hope so you won't mind. Sushant gupta (talk) 08:40, 4 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
well i requested for the map but the user is not active. he has helped me in the past and has created numerous maps. hope so he will be back soon. Sushant gupta (talk) 08:19, 5 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
i myself will also try to make the map. thanks, Sushant gupta (talk) 09:23, 6 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
now we need just one section i.e. uses of geysers. it seems you are already overloaded with Major geyser fields and their distribution so i won't mind to start this section. if you want this topic you can surely take it. thanks, Sushant gupta (talk) 10:19, 6 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

i was thinking if we could remove the section on geysers on triton and instead have another section uses of geysers. you can take this topic. i can help you find the source. the section dealing with geysers on triton can hinder the article while being reviewed for GA or FA. thanks, Sushant gupta (talk) 16:42, 6 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

fine, please use it as your source thanks, Sushant gupta (talk) 05:19, 7 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

there is nothing to get embarrassed. when i was new here i used to think that i was the biggest idiot here on wikipedia. but we teenagers are too young to get these things into our head even though we try our best. anyway just replace the section name from geysers on triton to nitrogen geysers on triton. i am 100% sure that we won't have any problem having. thanks and be cool. Sushant gupta (talk) 15:19, 7 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

are you still online. Sushant gupta (talk) 18:11, 7 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

if you don't mind i was getting bored. just thought to have a chat. Sushant gupta (talk) 18:17, 7 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
most probably 80-85%. i am not a topper by the way. i just like to study few subjects like maths. i want to do research in theoretical math. but currently focussing on engineering. what about yours! Sushant gupta (talk) 18:21, 7 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
your story sounds exactly like me! anyway have you watch lord of the rings film by peter jackson. Sushant gupta (talk) 18:30, 7 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
parody of this film its really hilarious. anyway watch it some other time. if you ever make your trip to delhi especially south delhi, then do tell me. i would like to meet you! what is the optional subject you would choose. Sushant gupta (talk) 18:38, 7 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
i am planning to take computer sciences. my school would be starting from 15th april (you are lucky :)) well i have started a new page namely Environmental degradation in India. would you like to accompany me. on your userpage you have mentioned that you would like to have an experience with an Indian article. you can surely write this article with me. thanks, Sushant gupta (talk) 18:48, 7 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
i think we won't need uses of geyser section. today i read the complete article and observed that it won't be of much use. uses have been already discussed in biology of geyser in brief. i have added a bundle of paper works in the notes section. i think the article is ready for GAC. unfortunately i am currently not having the application PREVIEW through which i could have easily designed the map. i lost much of my data last day due to the foolishness of my sister. grrrr.... Sushant gupta (talk) 05:36, 9 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
perhaps you are right. go ahead with the uses. well if you don't mind what is edit war! Sushant gupta (talk) 06:15, 9 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

okay! Sushant gupta (talk) 06:24, 9 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

use this link please. i think commercial uses of geysers would be better. Sushant gupta (talk) 06:36, 9 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

i have made some changes in the article and now i think it is ready for GAC. what do you think! Sushant gupta (talk) 07:47, 9 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
i think that would be great! Sushant gupta (talk) 13:17, 9 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
check out the template Template:Geysers

thanks, Sushant gupta (talk) 14:06, 9 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

fine i will tell you soon. i am feeling very tired and sleepy. truly speaking i don't feel like editing late night due eye strain. thanks, Sushant gupta (talk) 18:55, 9 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
i also think the article is ready for GAC. Sushant gupta (talk) 06:08, 10 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
on the nomination page i took the liberty to give your name along with mine. hope so you won't mind. this article contains your valuable contributions after all. Sushant gupta (talk) 06:13, 10 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Compare this to the current version of the article. We have really put up something worth. thanks, :) Sushant gupta (talk) 10:38, 10 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
thank-you for addressing the comments. sorry i was not available here. i was badly hurt by a small accident on my right arm (i got compass stuck into my arm!). hope so you understand, though now i can surely help you. once again i am extremely sorry i couldn't help you! Sushant gupta (talk) 11:33, 13 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
well i am okay now. you're right. i am also confused! Sushant gupta (talk) 15:23, 13 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
you should have made this comment after GA review was over. hahaha. i know. i saw his userpage! Sushant gupta (talk) 15:28, 13 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

i was just about to mention this on the talk page. it is not that serious issue that the article should be failed. but i didn't made any statement because i was scared if the reviewer might get angry! Sushant gupta (talk) 15:35, 13 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

yep! i have responded on the talk page. thanks, Sushant gupta (talk) 16:06, 13 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

for your hard-work and fabulous contribution in making geyser a GA! Sushant gupta (talk) 14:49, 15 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
well you raised an issue regarding the relation b/w volcanoes and geysers. dude actually we can't compare them, like we can't differentiate b/w a clock and the cell (we all know that clock works with help of cell), likewise most of the geysers are also functional because of volcanoes. so it would be meaningless to introduce such a section. i have a substitute. why not expand the working section of the geysers. hope so you might find the justification suitable. Cheer up bro! Sushant gupta (talk) 11:20, 17 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
dude, can you give me a link to any website talking about tourism in detail with respect to geysers. i tried my best. i couldn't found much! Sushant gupta (talk) 10:37, 18 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
brother, the sites you gave won't be appropriate to use as reference. i suffered from the same thing during himachal pradesh fac. at that time i didn't knew that we shouldn't use private tourism websites as a source. you must have noticed that these websites uses many statements which are highly controversial and might prove as a hindrance during FAC. that is why i generally prefer pdf files from educational/government websites as sources since lectures and factual coverage is best retrieved from them. thanks, Sushant gupta (talk) 15:48, 18 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yaar, i was actually talking about Wikipedia:Verifiability! Sushant gupta (talk) 11:45, 19 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
truly speaking i don't know much. in case any issue is raised then i hope you might be able to respond to the fac reviewers. good luck! also do have a look at my pics. i hope you might feel relaxed! Sushant gupta (talk) 11:27, 20 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
well my life sounds much similar to you. real life caught me so much that i won't be much active here after this month. i hope after 2010, you won't forget me. if we get time we will write a few GA's and FA's. Good luck for your upcoming future. Sushant gupta (talk) 15:56, 21 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

are you going now! :( Sushant gupta (talk) 17:36, 21 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

well your father has given you ultimatum. thats obvious (just like my parents). but how internet service provider warn you. i hope you aren't doing something what requires you to be 18+! Sushant gupta (talk) 17:41, 21 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
sin! well most of my friends are doing this sin everyday. i also do this sin but under certain premises (which is allowed under 16), anyway leave it. well my classes have begun and i won't be much active after Featured Portal Candidate Mammals is over. Sushant gupta (talk) 17:47, 21 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
you are really very generous. Sushant gupta (talk) 17:57, 21 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

I think the only solution is to go through this one by one on each talk page. Blah, if only 17Drew was here. Spellcast (talk) 07:58, 5 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Edit war edit

Do you remember the other Gwen Stefani edit war? It's the same person with different usernames. Blah1993blah, Gwenspride08, and Jamalar. All the same person. It's a sockpuppet. Charmed36 (talk) 15:20, 6 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

If someone else starts an edit war with the genres, we know who it is. Charmed36 (talk) 00:50, 20 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

nielsen edit

well i looked down the nielsen listings. ;)

Re: Query. Help Please edit

Even though it's fairly small, it's ok as long as it meets the GA criteria. Through the Wire is small, but it's fine. If there's nothing more that can be said on the song, I say go ahead and nominate it. Crash (Gwen Stefani song) is a GA, but it's only a little longer than Running. Spellcast (talk) 03:37, 20 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hm, good point. If It's My Life (Talk Talk song) is to be a GA, the original Talk Talk song will have to be put up to scratch. If you think that's stopping you from making the No Doubt version better, I say make a separate article for it. Spellcast (talk) 04:32, 20 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Where does it say that rule? They probably said that because cover versions are often stubs. But since this one isn't, this should be an exception. If you want to research info on the Talk Talk song, go ahead. But I think it's worthy of its own article. Spellcast (talk) 04:49, 20 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

GA review edit

I reviewed the "Runner" song article, you might wish to see the relevant talk page. Cheers. Realist2 ('Come Speak To Me') 06:20, 20 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sure ill take a peak now. Realist2 ('Come Speak To Me') 08:56, 20 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

OK , take another look, cheers. --Realist2 ('Come Speak To Me') 09:36, 20 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Also, notice how the the American and german chart positions are lower than the World chart, how on earth could it have only reached the 50's in america and Germany yet be in the 30's worldwide. Realist2 ('Come Speak To Me') 13:15, 20 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, let me explain it again, if it only charted in the top 50's in america and germany then on a worldwide scale i would expect it to be lower. Since it did chart at number 38 on the world chart as well there must be some countries it did quite well, if it only reached number 55 odd in 2 countries i believe its impossible to chart at number 38 worldwide. There must be countries where it did better than 38 to make 38 the over all average. Realist2 ('Come Speak To Me') 13:45, 20 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

It took a look at a reliable source i have on chart postitions and nothing new came up, lol i just think its odd how it can only reach number 60 in america, 55 in Germany yet 38 worldwide, im sure thats impossible but never mind. Realist2 ('Come Speak To Me') 13:51, 20 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thats ok, im glad i can help, Realist2 ('Come Speak To Me') 17:00, 20 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

WOW, best of luck with that, lol, you dont have to thank ME its YOUR work, i enjoy doing my bit but its all your credit. That said if i really am that helpful a reviewer you are more than welcome to leave a complemetary message or picture on my user page, which recently has become so bright and cheerful. Realist2 ('Come Speak To Me') 17:59, 20 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Oh that was more than i was expecting, a little, "wow this reviewer is great", would have been enough for me, but im delighted non the less. Realist2 ('Come Speak To Me') 18:08, 20 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi there, you voted to support the MJ article going to FA. The article is doing very well, 6 support 2 oppose. However i, and i believe you also, would like to get those who oppose on side. They are requesting additional copy editing which i have started doing. If you could improve the article in any way in this issue, please, please do.Realist2 ('Come Speak To Me') 22:20, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Your message edit

You've done lots of good work here, it's unfortunate you have to leave. I think you should reconsider whether you really mean "forever". Some people can be inactive for a long time or edit sporadically, but to leave forever is too big of a call. The decision is of course yours, but remember things change! There's no need to worry over the Gwen Stefani and No Doubt pages - remember, this is just a volunteer project. Whatever the case, I wish the best of luck to you in the future. Cheers. Spellcast (talk) 12:40, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Wow I didn't think year 10 could be so busy in other places. Anyway, I understand your priorities. Eventually, we all have to retire or take long-term breaks from this place due to real life issues. You've been a great asset here and I wish you all the best. Good luck and maybe I'll see you here again in what seems like the distant future! :D Spellcast (talk) 15:41, 22 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposal to raise FT criteria to requiring 50% featured edit

A proposal to raise the percentage of articles FTs need to 50% just passed, so your FT(s) need more articles featured by 1 September 2010, or else they will become GTs - rst20xx (talk) 20:57, 9 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use File:L bottle 01.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:L bottle 01.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 09:47, 26 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
