Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Ralph Nader 2004 presidential campaign, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages New York and Georgia. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

DYK for Meatballs (advertisement) edit

On 23 July 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Meatballs (advertisement), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that although the Pat Buchanan campaign commercial Meatballs was created by a Houston-based ad agency, it was not initially aired in Houston, lest its message turn off voters? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Meatballs (advertisement). You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Meatballs (advertisement)), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

— Maile (talk) 12:02, 23 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

  Hook update
Your hook reached 7,537 views (628.1 per hour), making it one of the most viewed hooks of July 2021 – nice work!

Daisy (advertisement) edit

Hi @Historical-idealist – I appreciate your work on Meatballs, and I have recently expanded the Wikipedia article of a highly popular and controversial political advertisement named "Daisy". It would be a great help if you give me some comments regarding the same. I would probably be nominating it for GA soon. Thanks! – Kavyansh.Singh (talk) 18:22, 11 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi @Kavyansh.Singh — I took a look at the Daisy article, and I’m very impressed! It’s one of my favorite political ads of all time, and I have to say I learned quite a bit from it. I made a few very, very minor grammatical tweaks, but it looks like a very solid article to me, with comprehensive info, in-depth research, and very understandable writing; it seems like a GA to me! (If there were one aspect of the article that I'd guess a GA reviewer might take issue with, it's the length of the lead — it’s quite long! — but I think the lead accurately summarizes the contents of the article, so I don't see it as a major issue at all.) Best of luck with the nomination. —Historical-idealist (talk) 19:27, 11 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
Hi @Historical-idealist – Thanks for your edits and kind words. I have further summarized the lead. – Kavyansh.Singh (talk) 04:25, 12 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
