Welcome edit

Hi Hilton,

It looks like you've been active for quite a while now, and no-one has been around with milktart and rusks. Here is the standard welcome. Most of it you know already, and you seem to be doing a great job, but FWIW:

Welcome!

South Africa edit

BUT I DID PUT DOWN REFERENCE AND LINKS TO PLACES WERE THESE FACTS WERE TRUE! --Bezuidenhout (talk) 19:32, 29 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

There's no need to shout. You cannot add a paragraph of controversial statements and opinion, use one reference for a figure, and call your paragraph "referenced". I'd suggest using the talk page for edits that may be controversial. --HiltonLange (talk) 05:05, 30 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello there edit

Im currently blocked from any edits on the encyclopedia, but I hope you will help; you gotta throw a look at the south african per capita GDP and update it, now it is over the 10,000$ per head, to do that just go on the ancient sourced GDP and click on the link, then see the date of 2008 and re-write it on by just copying and passing it upon the former number. thank you. 41.249.57.101 (talk) 19:41, 22 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

United States customary units edit

When you make this edit] did you actually view pages 24 through 28 of Wills' book, or did you just look at the Google preview? I beleive the citation should be considered valid unless you viewed the pages. I'm not familiar with Google's policy, but the preview might have changed since the information was added to the article. It is the underlying book that counts. --Jc3s5h (talk) 21:54, 1 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

SA Article Improvement edit

Good day Hilton, The SA article does need a radical makeover in line with your recent suggestions at article talk page. I'd like to work collaboratively with you on that; but regretably there have been some recent instances of vandalism, hounding and harassment, which first need to be resolved by Arbcom, before I invest more time and effort into editing, if at all. Call for Wikipedians in Residence in Africa edit

Hello,

I hope you are well and thriving!! WikiAfrica has just put out a call for two Wikipedians in Residence. One in Cape Town at WikiAfrica, at the Africa Centre; and the other for WikiAfrica Cameroon in Douala, at doual’art. If you are interested, please contact either Marilyn [marilyn.doualabell doualart.org] for the WikiAfrica Cameroon call or Isla [islahf africacentre.net] for the WikiAfrica position in Cape Town.

If you are not interested in applying, I would be very grateful if you could spread this call far and wide among your networks to ensure that both projects get excellent candidates. Here is the link for the information page: http://www.wikiafrica.net/two-wikipedians-in-residence-for-africa/

Best regards, Islahaddow
