Non-free rationale for File:The Edge Fitness Clubs Logo.png edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:The Edge Fitness Clubs Logo.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 19:58, 17 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of The Edge Fitness Clubs edit

Hello Hidden Hills Editor,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged The Edge Fitness Clubs for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Sockpuppet investigation edit

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/DjKingston, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Dean Unglert moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Dean Unglert, does not have enough substantial sources and citations as written to remain published, and contains extensive non-encyclopedic content . It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. Speedy deletion nomination of John Romaniello edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on John Romaniello requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/John Romaniello. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Draft:Don't Look Up (2021 film). Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at [[Talk:Draft:Don't Look Up (2021 film)|the article's talk page]].

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. BOVINEBOY2008 22:07, 23 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Kip Andersen (filmmaker) and/or Keegan Kuhn as Did you know...? edit

Hi Hidden Hills Editor! I wanted to first say that I appreciate you starting these two articles.

Would you be interested in expanding them so they could be nominated for Wikipedia:Did you know? (in case you aren't familiar, this is the section on the front page so the articles would have visibility there for a day). It looks to me like you haven't been involved with this process before, but I would be happy to help.

The biggest thing that we would need to do would be to expand the articles so the "Articles must have a minimum of 1,500 characters of prose..." requirement is met. Also, the article must be nominated when it is "no more than seven days old", so we would need to do this soon.

Are you interested/able to expand either or both of the articles further? Like I said, I'm happy to help, but will defer to you as the person who started both!

Last note: if both are eligible, we could submit them together, which would be neat. For example, the "hook" could be something like "Did you know... that Kip Andersen and Keegan Kuhn have collaborated on two award-winning (or maybe 'controversial'?) documentaries together" (the exact wording can be filled-in later). = paul2520 💬 14:37, 27 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Paul2520: Hi there, I would be happy to expand both of these articles and submit these together with you! Since this is my first time doing this, is there anything in particular we would need to add in the article or just general expansion? Thanks! Hidden Hills Editor (talk) 15:44, 27 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Paul2520: Also, please feel free to expand as well if you are familiar with the subjects! Hidden Hills Editor (talk) 15:47, 27 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Hidden Hills Editor: I think it would be great to add content if there are any other awards either/both have won, or notable projects they have worked on. But yeah, any expansion. I'll see what I can do; I can do the first draft of the nomination in a few days, too, and will of course tag you. = paul2520 💬 20:37, 27 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
One note: make sure to cite everything you add, and to avoid copying and pasting; I fixed a sentence in Kuhn's article that looked to be copied straight from a source. = paul2520 💬 20:45, 27 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
Copy that. Will be sure to do both going forward, thanks for the recommendation! Hidden Hills Editor (talk) 20:53, 27 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
I added some content to both articles; I'll keep searching for more. I'm struggling to find any educational background for Kuhn, also a website for the True Nature project mentioned at this source. = paul2520 💬 21:40, 27 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Paul2520: Good find! Same here, it seems that the majority of the info for Kuhn is being recycled from one or two sources. I'll keep searching to see if I can find anything different. Hidden Hills Editor (talk) 22:20, 27 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
I created the nomination! See Template:Did you know nominations/Kip Andersen (filmmaker). It includes both Andersen and Kuhn. I'll keep an eye on that page to see if there is any feedback to address, but I will appreciate you doing the same. = paul2520 💬 20:35, 28 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Paul2520: Awesome! Most definitely will keep an eye on it as well. Enjoyed working with you on this! Hidden Hills Editor (talk) 20:57, 28 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Not sure if you saw the updates on Template:Did you know nominations/Kip Andersen (filmmaker), but everything looked great to the reviewer! I just had to review a second "Did you know..." nomination since our nomination included two articles. FYI, you only have to do a "quid pro quo (QPQ)" review of someone else's DYK nomination if you've been involved with five or more yourself in the past (which I have).

Once again, great working with you on this & I'd be happy to collaborate again! = paul2520 💬 16:40, 6 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Paul2520: Just saw that it was reviewed! Thanks for taking the time to work on this, it was great working with you as well and I would be very pleased to do so again in the future! Hidden Hills Editor (talk) 13:47, 7 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Our Father (2022 film) moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Our Father (2022 film), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). Not yet fit for WP:NFF. I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hi @Atlantic306! Because the series is newly released neither Rotten Tomatoes nor Metacritic have scores for the series yet. Should I search for other reviews or wait for Rotten Tomatoes / Metacritic? Thanks! Hidden Hills Editor (talk) 18:00, 22 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
Hi, i'd suggest searching for other reviews in the meantime, regards Atlantic306 (talk) 23:54, 22 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
Got it. Thanks for the feedback! Hidden Hills Editor (talk) 19:21, 23 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

July 2022 edit

Hello Hidden Hills Editor. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Hidden Hills Editor. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Hidden Hills Editor|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. signed, Rosguill talk 21:36, 7 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi there, I am not sure what is giving you this impression but I am most certainly not accepting any direct or indirect financial gain, nor any other form of compensation my edits. My edits are strictly good faith and only made on topics that I am well versed/educated in, which is typically film, tv series, actors, directors, filmmakers etc. Happy to elaborate further if necessary. Hidden Hills Editor (talk) 22:45, 7 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the reply. I was somewhat concerned by the pace at which you were creating articles about relatively obscure actors, as that is a common field for black hat paid editing. signed, Rosguill talk 00:11, 8 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Sure thing more than happy to chat about it! Definitely not the case and happy to elaborate. What I typically do is create a page for an upcoming film and if there are cast/crew on the film that I feel have a reasonable amount of references, I'll then create the page for them. If there is a way that I can improve my edits to avoid any confusion in the future please do let me know, happy to adjust my methods. Hidden Hills Editor (talk) 00:35, 8 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
I would say that focusing on upcoming films is perhaps not ideal: even for big-name upcoming films, pre-release coverage is usually limited to routine recycled press releases, which makes it hard to demonstrate that notability guidelines are met. The solid standard coverage for demonstrating film and TV notability are critics' reviews. While WP:NFF does provide for future films, in my experience the only times that upcoming films and shows unambiguously meet notability guidelines in advance of their release is when there has been a major controversy in their production. So that's not to say you can't work on upcoming film articles, but you're going to be running in to much more friction during new page review than if you focused on say, just-released films. signed, Rosguill talk 15:13, 8 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Adrian Greensmith edit

Hello, Hidden Hills Editor

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username SunDawn, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, Adrian Greensmith, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to contest the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click the Publish changes button.

If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|SunDawn}}. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. Thanks!
