Into the darkness edit

Hey Gravitan, why do you keep deleting the info from "Into the darkness" that I added to Makuta and the Toa Mahri's page? User:Denjo

Mask of Shadows edit

Dear Gravitan,

I just wanted you to know that, though not a confirmed fact, the information about Makuta's Kanohi that I put there earlier is from a recent BZPower Greg Disscusion. You can go there and look at it on one of the more recent pages. You can also look it up on BS01 Wiki.-- --Toa of Gravity April 25, 2007

Re: Metru Nui edit

About the "Getting There" section you were worried about: it's not something I would put up, but I haven't decided whether I think it's worth deleting or not. But, honestly, you don't have to run any ideas by me. I'm not a moderator or anyone else in a position of authority here. If you don't like something, change it. If we both don't like the other's edits and keep changing back and forth, then we can go to the Talk page to discuss it. Don't worry about offending anyone. Drakhan 15:14, 28 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re: Karzahni, "Go to" edit

The bit about the phrase "Go to Karzahni" is from the Bionicle World guide, bottom of page 21 if you want to look it up. Drakhan 22:25, 29 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Spelling edit

Patrole or Patrol? acording to a word spellcheck (American English) the latter is correct. Is what you wrote on your User Page a typo or is it just another way of spelling it? 218.186.9.1 04:02, 2 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

RE:Deleted Content edit

Gravitan: You recently left a message on my talk page about deleted content and vandalism. could you please specify which pages were vandalised? 218.186.9.1 04:30, 3 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Since you are editing on a IP address, there are numerous people that are also editing while you are. This may not been you, but since you were also on, you got the message also, which was attended for someone else. How you can prevent this is by creating an account by clicking in the upper right hand corner. This way, people will know exactly who edited what. Thanks and if you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Chickyfuzz14(user talk) 04:33, 3 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

No Problem at All edit

No problem. I'm happy to help and answer any questions that new users have, since much of the time the user it was intended for was busy. Again, no problem, and hope to see you around Wikipedia in the future. Chickyfuzz14(user talk) 01:24, 4 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks edit

I feel that you could have asked YourLord politely to remove the discussions and warn him before alerting an admin. Obviously, something personal between you and YourLord has happened, I feel that it would be more helpful to resolve these grievances. Thank you. Ashnard Talk 18:23, 8 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Okay, thanks (really, not sarcarstically) Gravitan. I must have forgot about the warning and an admin or someone would've seen it anyway. I've now prohibited social messaging on my talk page or any others because – as I've said – I can't risk getting banned. It's weird, one post ends up into a conversation before you know it and you get to know these people. As for YourLord now, he's having trouble appealing because of an e-mail error so I may have to relay a message to Ryulong. The edits on my talk page now are not social but Wikipedian-related. Believe it or not, I am a conscientious editor. Thanks. Ashnard Talk 07:53, 9 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hello Gravitan. I am currently not signed in and thus am able to edit. Don't worry I won't take advantage of my situation, I just felt I had to talk to you. I realise that you had the best of intentions when you alerted Ryulong to my page and asked him to block me but might I just say that I rather think that was slightly unfair as if I remember correctly myself and Ashnard were not making small-talk, we were discussing matters regarding articles on Wikipedia that we felt needed attention. Admittedly we were discussing them in a humorous, light-hearted tone of voice but to my mind there's no rule on Wikipedia against friendliness. YourLord

Spoiler War edit

Gravitan, in the recent conflict over Bionicle spoiler tags I think it might be wise to let spoilers concerning Legends #7 alone. Of the spoilers that are up, we knew most ahead of time (for instance, we knew for a while that the Toa Nuva would free the Bohrok). I'd kind of like to limit our battlegrounds to the few items that really need it (I put a list of such items in Talk: Bionicle#Spoilers). Drakhan 21:58, 11 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

So, did anyone respond to what I said on the Lesovikk page over on the BS01 Wiki? (I swear, if I have to stay here and can't get back over there, I'll kill myself. This place is so effed up.). ElectricTurahk 17:26, 17 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hello edit

What is wrong with the way I modified ElectricTurahk's posts. I didn't signifigantly change their content, I just replaced the curse words with euphanisms. What's wrong with that? Supernerd 10 17:27, 17 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Proof? edit

If you get the book Bionicle Rahi encyclopedia and look up colony drone you will see that there is a spot at the bottom that one of the rahaga say that they want to take the colony drones away from the visorak by destroying their pens but they also don't want other Rahi to trample and kill the colony drones. "Unsourced" edit

Gravitan, recently I've noticed you deleting items giving the reason that they were "unsourced". I understand if you don't have some of the books and therefore don't believe some minor items from them, but I have a hard time believing that you are unaware of Greg's News Update on BZP (which stated the outcome and aftermath of the Tahtorak/Kardas fight). If you see something unsourced that you know is true, please mark it with a "citeneeded" tag instead of just deleting it. Drakhan 14:18, 23 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Don't worry about it; we've all had stressful times. Maybe just take a break from Wikipedia and come back later when you've cooled off. I'll take care of the pics, I've already started adding the fair use rationales that they need. By the way, the "citeneeded" tag isn't one of those big ugly ones like the "future" tag is; it just looks like this: [citation needed] Drakhan 21:40, 23 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re: More deleted content edit

Perhaps I could have stated the point of view more neutrally, but it is a valid point of view supported by facts. The best idea would not be to delete it, but rather to make it more balanced. What, exactly, is the counter-argument to the idea that trade liberalization has strengthened outmigration from economically less sustainable sectors like peasant agriculture? Please balance my description of trade liberalization's effects on migration; do not simply delete a description supported by facts. Agh.niyya

I have to say, I am still getting used to writing for Wikipedia. Scholarship (e.g., scholarly articles in journals) always has a point of view; the idea of NPOV is not valid in scholarship, because there are no real facts without interpretations. Therefore, it seems to me, a Wikipedia article should contain empirically verifiable facts as well as logically tenable arguments-- but many different logically tenable arguments in each article. My view on trade liberalization is one such tenable view, supported by empirical evidence. You should state a counter-argument in the paragraph below if there is a good one. Or, I suppose, one could interweave the counterargument into the same paragraph. However, I don't know what this argument is, and so I cannot do it myself. Agh.niyya

Why did you change that note on my userpage! You could of just asked me to change it and that is not the reason I have the Barnstars on my page. If you want to know why the barnstars ask me.Swirlex 01:46, 2 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

If you read the first big paragraph on my user page or the one on the barnstar Brigade it should say that I go into users contributions and look at their edits and see if they have done a lot of work on wikipedia then I decide if they should get a Barnstar. The reason I have them on my userpage is so I can copy and paste the codes if I need to the users userpage. Hope this makes things more clear.Swirlex 14:18, 3 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you! Vandal fighting edit

You really should give vandals warnings on their Talk pages when you revert them. The vandal at Ham now only has one warning despite having been reverted three times, so he gets three more hits before we can report him to WP:AIV. But good work with the vandal hunting, there are more of them than there are of us. :) Corvus cornix 23:39, 18 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the advice. You're right, I really should warn people more (and I assure you that I know how). I guess I'm just getting lazy. :P And thank you. Nice to know my efforts don't go ignored. :) -- Gravitan(Talk | Contribs) 23:43, 18 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Nomination succeeded edit

Hello Gravitan,

Thank you very much for coming out in support of my RfA — it succeeded a few hours ago.

Please feel free to contact me if you need help with an action requiring administrative access; I will do my best to be of assistance to you. Cheers, --Aarktica 00:46, 10 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

My recent RfA edit

Thank you for supporting my RfA, which unfortunately didn't succeed. The majority of the opposes stated that I needed more experience in the main namespace and Wikipedia namespace, so that is what I will do. I will go for another RfA in two month's time and I hope you will be able to support me then as well. If you have any other comments for me or wish to be notified when I go for another RfA, please leave them on my talk page. If you wish to nominate me for my next RfA, please wait until it has been two months. Thanks again for participating in my RfA! -- Cobi(t|c|b|cn) 00:43, 12 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
