Hello edit

Thanks! I became an administrator after I earned a reputation as a productive, civil and trustworthy editor on Wikipedia (took me a few months). After I had 6,000+ edits, I went up for adminship, and got promoted. To become bureaucrat, you have to be an admin for a long period of time, and need to meet certain requirements. See WP:RFA for more. Nishkid64 22:45, 18 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Well, I became an admin after I established a reputation as a good editor here. Before admin, there really aren't that many other "positions" you can hold. You can get involved in WikiProjects and such, and participate in discussions at WP:AFD and WP:RFA. Nishkid64 22:56, 18 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Award edit

Thank you for selecting me for a Barnstar award! It makes me feel incredibly happy to know I've recieved something for all the hard work I do here at Wikipedia. Again, thanks! I appreciate it a lot! Fanficgurl 6:07 January 18 2007 (UTC)

When you say you emailed Crystal, do you mean Crystal Evans, AKA Country Girl in Girl Authority? She was the one who wanted me to recieve the Barnstar? Fanficgurl January 18 2007 (UTC)

Ip: 216.20.9.22 that you blocked edit

I replied on my talk page. – Quadell (talk) (random) 16:37, 1 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I've looked into the situation and have followed up with the last blocking admin, Jimfbleak. I'll keep you posted as to what happens. Cheers. -- Merope 16:39, 1 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
Students are free to edit after creating an account. Sorry, it looks like this IP provides next to nothing useful, only troubles. `'mikka 19:39, 6 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

216.20.9.22 block edit

Why exactly do you want it unblocked? Your school IP keeps vandalizing every time we unblock. The block is also under "anon only", so it shouldn't be affecting you either. Nishkid64 22:41, 6 February 2007 (UTC) anon only?Reply

IP vandal edit

If the user vandalizes again, I will block. Usually, you need to run through the warnings (t1-->t4) before the user can be blocked. Then, you report the user to WP:AIV. Nishkid64 21:04, 12 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

A WARNING!!! edit

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Engadgethomepage2.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Engadgethomepage2.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:22, 24 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Da Silvano edit

The article Da Silvano has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A7 -- no credible claim of notability

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Epeefleche (talk) 00:23, 5 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

May 2011 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to United States, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Image source problem with File:Gamersedgelogo.png edit

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Gamersedgelogo.png.

This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.

If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F4 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 00:21, 23 December 2023 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 00:21, 23 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
