Hello. I was wondering if you would like to participate in my classic rock survey. I'm trying to find the most like classic rock song. There is more information on my user page. Hope you participate! RENTASTRAWBERRY FOR LET? röck 00:45, 2 December 2005 (UTC)

D-BoyEdit

Hiya. Please note that I've moved this to the Danny Rodriguez article - the D-Boy page is now a redirect. Also note that, in my opinion, the article was a little 'fannish' (is that a proper word ?!) in terms of a non-neutral point of view, so I've made a few cuts and minor changes - you may want to review it to see if you disagree with any of them. Thanks. :-) CultureDrone (talk) 11:43, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Andrus, Blackwood and CompanyEdit

A tag has been placed on Andrus, Blackwood and Company requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. PseudoChron (talk) 18:26, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Mighty WindEdit

A tag has been placed on Mighty Wind, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Mighty Wind and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. De728631 (talk) 19:02, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

I've declined to delete this, but it's in bad need of work. The tone is promotional, it has no wikilinks, and it doesn't even say anything like, "Mighty Wind is a record album."! --Orange Mike | Talk 19:41, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Andrae crouch soulfully.jpg)Edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Andrae crouch soulfully.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:16, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Mylon lefevre and broken heart crack the sky LP front cover.jpgEdit

Thanks for uploading Image:Mylon lefevre and broken heart crack the sky LP front cover.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Merging articlesEdit

I hesitate to do this because I disagree with what I think you're trying to do - but if you do insist on proposing a merger between articles, please read this advice first so that you get the process right. There is an issue - which has been much debated in the past, but that's no reason not to think about it again (yawn...) - over merging Rock and roll and Rock music. But if you want to bring Origins of rock and roll into that as well, it would be more sensible in my view to try to merge that article with Rock and roll first - which is something I'd actually probably support - rather than proposing a merger with the Rock music article. Ghmyrtle (talk) 14:57, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

OK. I agree with the latter argument for sure. How do we get the ball rolling to crunch Origins of rock and roll into Rock and roll. GBrady (talk) 15:14, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
Read and act on this - I'm not going to offer too much help! Ghmyrtle (talk) 15:18, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

Question on Andrae CrouchEdit

I note on the Andrae Crouch talk page that you have been a contributor. Perhaps you can answer a question/clear up a discrepancy: The article states about Andrae Crouch & the Disciples that "By 1985, they had also performed at the Hollywood Bowl...", but later says they disbanded in 1979. The 1979 date is a recent change to the article. It previously said 1981. Their Live at Carnegie Hall album was released in 1982. Do you have any information for a date of "disbanding"? — ERcheck (talk) 11:51, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of The Cruse FamilyEdit

The article The Cruse Family has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable per WP:MUSIC, unreferenced for over a year, no significant coverage online from WP:Reliable sources.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. MuffledThud (talk) 07:25, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPsEdit

Hello GBrady! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 1,769 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Andrew Culverwell - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · NYT · WP Library

File:1978_Farrell_and_Farrell_debut_album_cover.jpgEdit

I have tagged File:1978_Farrell_and_Farrell_debut_album_cover.jpg as {{orphaned fairuse}}. In order for the image to be kept at Wikipedia, it must be included in at least one article. Otherwise, it will be deleted in seven days. Melesse (talk) 23:08, 11 July 2010 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Psalm 150 (band)Edit

The article Psalm 150 (band) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article has been tagged for over a year but still lacks any evidence that the subject meets the notability guidelines for musicians.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. AllyD (talk) 23:00, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

Survey InviteEdit

I'm working on a study of political motivations and how they effect editing. I'd like to ask you to take a survey. The survey should take 5 minutes. Your survey responses will be kept private. Our project is documented at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Research:Wikipedia_%2B_Politics.

Survey Link: http://uchicago.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_eXOHLbXwbpfYC1f?Q_DL=e3DsAymc9y4ljrD_eXOHLbXwbpfYC1f_MLRP_5jSUhPDlhhS9yq9&Q_CHL=gl

I am asking you to participate in this study because you are a frequent editor of pages on Wikipedia that are of political interest. We would like to learn about your experiences in dealing with editors of different political orientations.

Sincere thanks for your help! Porteclefs (talk) 19:50, 19 June 2017 (UTC)
