Hello,

Regarding my edit of Condoleezza Rice and your reversion because Wikipedia is not a crystal ball, I believe it would have been easier to just reword rather than revert. NorthernThunder 21:12, 8 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Ryan White edit

Thanks for looking in at the Ryan White article. I'm not sure if I understood your previous question correctly. You said "There is an external link embedded in the prose of the "Legacy" section. Perhaps it can be used as a citation instead?" Per your request I have removed the link. The sentence in question is "[his mother arranges] speaking events through the site devoted to her son, ryanwhite.com." I don't understand how I would turn this into a citation. The Web site is not being used as a citation. The Web site is part of the information conveyed in the sentence. You want me to say:

His mother arranges speaking events through the site devoted to her son, ryanwhite.com.1
... Rest of article...
References
1. ryanwhite.com

I guess I'm willing to do this to earn your support, but isn't this a pointless inconvenience to the reader? --JayHenry (talk) 05:30, 28 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Featured sounds edit

I noticed that you have participated in Wikipedia:Featured sound candidates in the past. There are now two candidates and the project appears to be abandoned. If you could look at the candidates and vote it would be appreciated. Zginder (talk) (Contrib) 00:40, 8 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

My IP edit

You mentioned on my IP's talk page that I've recently added some stuff, without citing. I've fixed grammar, punctuation, and page layout on a few pages, but I haven't added new content that needs citing. King Rhyono (talk) 08:30, 1 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello Fsotrain09! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 3 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 1,069 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

War Edition at Dili edit

Users J. Patrick Fischer (talk) Merbabu (talk) and Darwinius (talk) are removing systematically the symbols of the city alleging they are not used anymore. The problem is that they doesn´t quote any relevant source to remove the symbols and prove they are not used anymore, despite there´s a law supporting them. I gave the data, he is disputing it, just for personal taste. Domaleixo (talk) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.41.242.19 (talk) 14:22, 21 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Survey edit

Hi Fsotrain!

I have put together a survey for female editors of Wikipedia (and related projects) in order to explore, in greater detail, women's experiences and roles within the Wikimedia movement. It'd be wonderful if you could participate!

It's an independent survey, done by me, as a fellow volunteer Wikimedian. It is not being done on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation. I hope you'll participate!

Just click this link to participate in this survey, via Google!

Any questions or concerns, feel free to email me or stop by my user talk page. Also, feel free to share this any other female Wikimedians you may know. It is in English, but any language Wikimedia participants are encouraged to participate. I appreciate your contributions - to the survey and to Wikipedia! Thank you! SPATRA reactivation edit

Hello Fsotrain09, I notice that you were involved in the project Wikipedia:Spanish Translation of the Week a few years ago. However I also notice that here has been very little activity since 2007. This is a project I'm particularly interested in and would love to see it revived. I've taken the bold step of identifying an article requiring translation and I'm in the process of inviting collaboration. The article History of Puerta del Sol could really use your help. In addition, I'd welcome any ideas you may have to help revive this project so that there is greater collaboration among ES>EN translators on en.Wikipedia. I'm identifying various contributors from whom the SPATRA project may benefit. If you have any recommendations then feel free to contact them directly or submit there usernames to me via my talkpage. I look forward to your participation. Gratefully - EagerToddler39 (talk) 02:22, 22 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
