TFL for Africa list? edit

Hi Eric, how are you doing? I was thinking that I hadn't seen a WHS list at TFL yet, and immediately thought of the Africa list that we're all using as a template. Want to nominate it? Nightw 12:48, 28 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Ah, didn't see that! That's okay then. Nightw 07:24, 2 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hydronymy edit

Hallo, I am interested in hydronymy as it looks the language of prehistoric Europe is reflected therein. I left a message on the wikiproject rivers talkpage, just looking for editors with similar interests to exchange information. I have discovered the so called old european hydronymy is not limited to Europe but has many correspondences in Iran, India and furhter away so I think this disproves the current scholarly etymological interpretations. Presently I am trying to research Bengal and Burma. Thanks for reading.Aldrasto11 (talk) 11:01, 3 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

41st British Columbia general election edit

Regarding your edits to 41st British Columbia general election. There was never a stable version of the article with leaders in the infobox. WP:BRD, WP:STATUSQUO, WP:CRYSTAL, please stop making predictions. 117Avenue (talk) 03:28, 5 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

While that is a good point, the article is relatively new and therefore could never be considered stable at this point. But if we look at preceding elections, the last real "stable" version of BC election articles, we can see that the norm was to include leaders' names. [6][7][8] EricLeb01 (Page | Talk) 03:38, 5 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
If we're going to go through old revisions, here's one that incorrectly predicted who would be the leaders going into the election. 117Avenue (talk) 05:32, 5 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
I could play the same game and say that the large majority of the time, leaders elected after leadership elections usually stay on until the election. EricLeb01 (Page | Talk) 04:32, 6 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
I agree, but no one in the infobox at 41st British Columbia general election was elected leader after the last election. 117Avenue (talk) 05:54, 7 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

WP:GOCE invitation edit

Hi there. I wanted to drop you a note to see if you'd be interested in joining the Guild of Copy Editors July 2013 backlog elimination drive. Three years ago, you participated in our biggest and most successful drive ever and were a huge help, copy editing well over 100,000 words! We've made lots of progress since then, but have stalled out a bit now. We need more help to keep pushing down the number of articles that still need copy editing. The current drive is already halfway over! Please consider joining it and chipping in a few articles. Thanks for reading this, and I hope to see you there. —Torchiest talkedits 13:26, 15 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

UK in World Heritage Sites edit

In the context and the template used on these its listed in western Europe (as is Ireland), hence the reason I put it in the list. Murry1975 (talk) 17:24, 4 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Will revert as per "I'm good with everything Europe. And yeah, UK should belong in the western division", your words and consensus in the project bud. Murry1975 (talk) 17:45, 4 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
You're right, I was going by memory and didn't particularly remember adding any UK sites to the appropriate article (seeing as I wrote it). My bad. EricLeb01 (Page | Talk) 20:12, 4 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
No bud your grand, it happens to us all :) Murry1975 (talk) 20:41, 4 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

WP World Heritage Sites in the Signpost edit

The WikiProject Report would like to focus on WikiProject World Heritage Sites for a Signpost article. This is an excellent opportunity to draw attention to your efforts and attract new members to the project. Would you be willing to participate in an interview? If so, here are the questions for the interview. Just add your response below each question and feel free to skip any questions that you don't feel comfortable answering. Multiple editors will have an opportunity to respond to the interview questions, so be sure to sign your answers. If you know anyone else who would like to participate in the interview, please share this with them. Have a great day. –Mabeenot (talk) 03:53, 16 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
