Orphaned non-free image File:Epic pet wars logo.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Epic pet wars logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 03:16, 5 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

GAN Stephen Hawking edit

Just to let you know that I've started the review at Talk:Stephen_Hawking/GA3. A good habit is to put that page on your watchlist. Materialscientist (talk) 09:19, 23 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

British and American English edit

I have reverted your change to Help:Editing Wikisource as an unnecessary change from British to American English, since the text you changed has been well-established in the article for some years. In general it helps not to make such changes, unless they are are small islands of American in a sea of British (or vice versa)), otherwise we risk importing edit wars into Wikisource. Fair use images and User:Dude1818/Userboxes/EPW FC edit

Three times now I've removed non-free content from this userbox. Per WP:NFCC #9, the use of non-free content on userpages is not permitted. You may only use non-free content on actual articles. Please stop placing non-free images in this userbox. If you have questions, ask. --Hammersoft (talk) 21:05, 31 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Epic Pet Wars edit

The article Epic Pet Wars has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unreferenced; does not appear to meet notability guidelines; previously deleted under CSD criteria A7

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.  Chzz  ►  03:41, 23 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link fixing one-day contest edit

I have decided to put on a mini-contest within the November 2013 monthly disambiguation contest, on Saturday, November 23 (UTC). I will personally give a $20 Amazon.com gift card to the disambiguator who fixes the most links on that server-day (see the project page for details on scoring points). Since we are not geared up to do an automated count for that day, at 00:00, 23 November 2013 (UTC) (which is 7:00 PM on November 22, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the project page leaderboard. I will presume that anyone who is not already listed on the leaderboard has precisely nine edits. At 01:00, 24 November 2013 (UTC) (8:00 PM on November 23, EST), I'll take a screenshot of the leaderboard at that time (the extra hour is to give the board time to update), and I will determine from that who our winner is. I will credit links fixed by turning a WP:DABCONCEPT page into an article, but you'll have to let me know me that you did so. Here's to a fun contest. Note that according to the Daily Disambig, we currently have under 256,000 disambiguation links to be fixed. If everyone in the disambiguation link fixers category were to fix 500 links, we would have them all done - so aim high! Cheers! bd2412 T 02:21, 18 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
