List of county roads in Hernando County, Florida

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article List of county roads in Hernando County, Florida, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Reverting redirections of American Dragon: Jake Long episodes

Hello, DanTD. Recently, I've been noticing that you have been reverting edits that redirected American Dragon: Jake Long episodes to the list of them. However, per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/A Befuddled Mind, the articles are supposed to be redirected to the list. Please stop undoing those edits. Thanks, Bart133 (t) (c) 16:37, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

  • It doesn't matter whether they shouldn't have been deleted. The fact is, they were deleted. It is considered inappropriate and bordering on vandalism to try to undo the effects of an AfD. Bart133 (t) (c) 16:47, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
    • Despite any misuse of AfD (I do agree that it's used far too much), AfD is an official Wikipedia policy. See WP:POINT. Read the examples about the deletion process. Also, see WP:DP for information on the deletion policy. Since the article was nominated for deletion and the outcome of the vote did say to delete it, it's considered disruptive to attempt to undo the results of the AfD. No need for apologies!

No need for apologies at all! I'm not perturbed -- I'm ecstatic that you added those articles and added that infobox, something I don't know how to do. Sorry I hadn't gotten around to thanking you yet. I think those were the last two stations in the entire state that didn't have an article. Again, much appreciated! Noroton 22:41, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

I'll do that expanding. Would you be able to add that box thing to the Glenbrook (Metro-North station) article? That would complete the line. If you're busy, I'll try to figure it out. Since I'm so grateful, I want to point out to you something you may find interesting: here's a link about a certain presidential candidate who used the New Haven Line, and here's some information on an [[ex-President who may have taken the train to the Glenbrook station (but probably used the Stamford station). Of course, anyone going anywhere between NYC and Boston at a certain time would have passed through on the train. Noroton 23:15, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
Be bold! I think the platform is fine. I've seen the station. The odd thing about it is that there's no "there" there. The old picture is actually at another location (note the four tracks, indicating it was originally on the New Haven line, or was in 1907 or so). If you think something more up-close with the shelter would be better, I believe that can be arranged with the photographer of the other pics. Also, there's no pic with the New Canaan Branch article. I assume a picture of a train is what's normal. Did you know that the movie The Ice Storm (film) used the New Canaan branch line? Whats-his-name, the actor who plays Spider Man, was stuck in a train on the branch for a while during the storm.Noroton 23:28, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for the help with Category:Transportation in Suffolk County, New York

Thanks for the help -- you're going to let me get to bed earlier!

I'm trying to do for Category:Suffolk County, New York what I did with Category:Fairfield County, Connecticut and, in fact all the Connecticut counties: Get broad subcategories that allow the county category to be on one page (with less than 199 direct article links). That makes the county categories much, much easier to navigate. At some point I'll create a Category:Education in Suffolk County and a few other subcategories that should get the county category down, ideally to about 120 articles. Nobody's objected so far, so I think people find it easier to use. Again, thanks for the help! Noroton 03:38, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

Oh, that's easy! You create the red link. Then follow the red link. Then add a sentence saying (and this is entirely optional): "Articles related to transportation in Nassau County, New York. I also add links to the main county catgegory: Category:Nassau County, New York and to the state transportation category: Category:Transportation in New York|Nassau County. I think simply doing a single edit, maybe not even with any actual change, will change the category from a redlink. (By the way, I've also done Category:Transportation in Westchester County, New York) Noroton 03:41, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
You've got it now. I just added the links from the Transportation in... page to the county and state transportation category pages. Here's another hint: To save time in typing, I copy the following: "change link from Category:Nassau County, NY to link to Category:Transportation in Nassau County, New York" and then just paste that line within the double brackets where "Category:Nassau County, New York" was. Then I delete the words in front until I have the name of the category I now want to link to. Then I go to the edit summary and paste the same words in before hitting the "Save page" button. It saves a lot of time and bother typing it all in. g'night Noroton 03:58, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

Re: La Grange, IL train station

I had no idea there was more than one station there. This is the one on La Grange Road.

I don't remember all that much about it, so I'm not sure what I can provide in an article in text form. But point me to the article and I'll take a look at it. Thanks! —Rob (talk) 16:47, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
