Name edit

I thought Chochem was just a stupid made-up name for an old Martian. Seems Santa Claus Conquers the Martians had a spark of intelligence after all. Who knew? 86.135.105.100 01:02, 7 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I second that, the mediawiki admins should be taking some design tips from you.. --ti 08:02, 19 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'm not really getting what's in the screenshot. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.13.60.231 (talk) 00:37, 13 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi again: I created a new skin ScreenRealEstate modeled on yours, cleaning up a bit. Couldnt upload a screenshot there though. The screen shot is currently at [1]. Thought you'd like to know! --ti 17:21, 13 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
Looks great and certainly lives up to its name. Nice one, man :) chochem (talk) 17:52, 13 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Love the look - but was wondering if it's Mediawiki 1.15 tested? I can't seem to get it to work when I cut/paste into my myskin/main.css —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.212.5.24 (talk) 03:16, 20 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Uhm I don't know about MediaWiki versions (I don't really follow developments) but it still works in my end. Uhm since your comments isn't made a registered user but your IP, might I suggest creating an account? I'm not sure you can save settings such as CSS preferences without one.... chochem (talk) 22:58, 23 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Excellent skin. Simple yet very stylish. Like it much, though there seems to be a small problem. On Mediawiki 1.15 it shows ugly refer(r)er, what mars look largely.Томми Нёрд (talk) 13:22, 21 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Never Mind. I have found the "MediaWiki:Common.css" and started making a few edits there instead. That will have to do, because I don't know how to install this Drone skin. In Correct (talk) 01:24, 24 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Advice? edit

Hi, I'm new to developing wiki skins. I'm a designer with a fair bit of HTML5/CSS3/JS frontend background but I am finding the process of developing skins for mediawiki very very confusing. Do you have any advice on file structure etc? It all seems rather arcane and unlike any other system I've developed for, like Wordpress etc. You can reach me at my github here: https://github.com/jcklpe 06:52, 25 October 2018 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
