Helle Thorning-Schmidt

I appreciate your edits on the article. It can be confusing to see material removed without an edit comment or remarks on the talk page and sometimes it looks like careless editing or even vandalism. As far as how she would be formally addressed in folketinget, would it be simply as statsministeren or is there ever any honorific used? Other than using a formal form of address (De?). Thanks for your help on this article. I wonder (as a bit of humor) if under her new immigration policies I might be abe to return to my demonstrable roots "in the heaths of Jutland" as she said in her speech. Thanks for detecting and correcting the misspelling of Margrethe in the box. It had been changed to Margaret on 13 November without an edit comment. Haemoglobin

I'm not sure I buy the argument that "hemoglobin" is somehow the "correct" spelling, at least not any more correct than "haemoglobin", but anyway, that's not the point. Your insistence on spelling it "hemoglobin" prevents the main image from showing, and misquotes various sources. The Placebo song, for instance, is called "Haemoglobin", not "Hemoglobin", as far as I can tell, and it must not be displayed otherwise. The same goes for journal articles with "haemoglobin" in their title (yes, they do occur). --Stemonitis (talk) 16:38, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

Comment on Steno

Not sure why Steno can not be listed in the crystallography page. Because it is 200 years older than Bragg? Bragg developed a tool to study crystals. Great but he didn't discovered their nature.

Steno gave the first accurate observations on a type of crystal in his 1669 book "De solido intra solidum naturaliter contento". Sure he had no X-ray tools, no magic group theory, no microscope to prove his intuition. The wiki page crystallography lacks of any historical perspective on the subject: from Steno's law of constant angles, stating that the angles between corresponding faces on crystals are the same for all specimens of the same mineral to Hauy's law of the rationality of the crystallographic indices. PCA

Hi - thanks for your edit to the Principal component analysis article. You undid my new section; I agree that we're both acting in good faith, and I have no wish to start a war, but I didn't create a section "just to cite" an article. Iterative methods for PCA are important for large or streamed data. I am currently trying to find out what the state of the art on iterative PCA is, and I will expand that section when I've found out more.
