Category:Mixed martial artists from South Korea and Category:South Korean mixed martial artists where's the difference?

Hello CASSIOPEIA,

I noticed that you created Category:Mixed martial artists from South Korea today, while Category:South Korean mixed martial artists is the same (at least to my understanding). So I suggest to merge these 2 categories in one.

Best regards --Robby (talk) 14:00, 1 September 2018 (UTC)

Robby Greetings. Didnt realize there is one existed. It is good idea to merge them. Thank you for informing. cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 14:23, 1 September 2018 (UTC)
yes the new one (Category:Mixed martial artists from South Korea) should be emptied and deleted.PRehse (talk) 21:27, 1 September 2018 (UTC)
Hi PRehse OK and thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 02:11, 2 September 2018 (UTC)

Al-Ahli SC Basketball (Amman)

Hi Cassiopeia. Letting you know about this as a courtesy. You moved this back to the draft namespace once, but it has been recreated as a new article by the same editor. There’s was an edit sum left about sources related to this team not being online or something to explain why it was recreated. The draft and article have the same name and there’s probably no need for both; however, not sure what is typically done in cases like this. — Marchjuly (talk) 22:01, 3 September 2018 (UTC)

Marchjuly Ok thank you for informing. To provide inline citation to support the content claimed is the burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material especially on article creation as the editor needs to WP:PROVEIT the content verifiability and meets the notability of the subject. If the subject is a living person, a PROD could be tag to give the creator 7 days to provide sources, and if the subject, in this case, is not a living person, after a WP:BEFORE and found no WP:RS to support the notability then an AfD could be make. Cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 17:25, 4 September 2018 (UTC)
Marchjuly Admin has histmerge draft to main page, and I have moved the article back to draft requesting WP:RS. Just to update you. Cheers CASSIOPEIA(talk) 01:20, 5 September 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for the update. I saw the histmerge and meant to comment post about it here, but never got around to doing. Just for reference, the editor in question has basically done the same thing with Al-Ahli SC Handball (Amman) that they did with the basketball article. There now exists an "article" and Draft:Al-Ahli SC Handball (Amman) when both aren't need. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:37, 5 September 2018 (UTC)
Marchjuly Hi, you could place {{histmerge|Draft:Al-Ahli SC Handball (Amman)}} on Draft:Al-Ahli SC Handball (Amman) and admin will histmerge and the page could move to draft again. Thanks. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 02:34, 5 September 2018 (UTC)
Hi Anthony Appleyard, Thanks for informing. Cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 04:36, 5 September 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for doing that Anthony Appleyard. I've left a message at User talk:Ahmad dafer#Copy and paste moves about this kind of thing, so perhaps that will be the end of it. -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:39, 5 September 2018 (UTC)

All Star Racing

Hey there. You moved my article for All Star Racing to draftspace for lack of sources. While you're at it have a look at the other games from Midas Interactive Entertainment and look at the games that don't have any sources too, All Star Racing 2, GP Challenge, Hard Hitter and Sanvein to name a few. They have no sources yet they remain and my article doesn't. Does not seem fair to me, makes me look like a scapegoat. I am sure you had your reasons and are only following orders and doing your job nicely, but it makes no sense to me. Sorry. Good day. ZZSantos (talk) 22:18, 4 September 2018 (UTC)

ZZSantos Greetings to you. Please note that content created/added need to be supported by independence, reliable sources (RS) for verification. I have noticed that the article mentioned and many of your articles were not cited any sources which would be subject for nomination for deletion if sources are not found. There are many article of such are in the Wikipedia as editors who help to on maintenance work are all volunteers and additonal helpers are always needed and do see Wikipedia:Other stuff exists. Please provide at least three RS, such as from reputable magazine, and newspapers which the source talk directly about the subject and not merely passing mentioned. If in doubt or anything is not clear, please always refer to Wikipedia:The answer to life, the universe, and everything. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 01:31, 5 September 2018 (UTC)

Suggestion required

Hi Cassiopeia. Few of my draft are pending for more than 1 month. Will I move them to articles space or wait for some more time? As I am still a learner, pleases suggest me on this. Risu43 (talk) 07:28, 5 September 2018 (UTC)

Risu43 Greetings. Here is some background for your question and the answer follows. When a draft page is created via Article for Creation (AfC) it will go through review by AfC pattrollers where by reasons and links would be provided by the pattroler to educate/ inform the creator know what to do next to get the article approve and a communication would be established between editors and patrollers and the patrollers could guide the eidtors. AfC are new editors who do not know much about how to create an article in Wikipedia and might not know what it requires from Wikipedia for a article to be merit a page in main space. When an article is created via New Page (NP) it will go through New Page reviewers to review the article if the article is accepted to be published, if the page is accepted (same as AfC) then the article will be in main space and search engines could find the article and if the article lack what it take to be accepted then it would either send it back to draft space (AfC), or PROD (propose to be deleted) or AfD (article for deletion). So either via AfC or NP, article need meet the requirement of providing (1) significant coverage of in length and in dept coverage of independent, reliable sources of the content claimed, (2) they will be reviewed by either AfC pattrollers or NP reviewers and most importantly (3) if the subject of the article is not notable, no amount of editing would merit an article in Wikipedia. Now back to your question: since you are an auto confirmed editor, you can move your draft page to main space if you want. I am AfC and NP reviewer and if you want I would review your draft articles and would let you know what should be done if they articles are not acceptable so you may learn, this weekend and just list down your article names. Happy editing and cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 15:48, 6 September 2018 (UTC)

Jan Krissler translation

Thanks for letting me know how to pay proper attribution to originals for translations. I was not aware of the current procedures on how to transfer content between languages. In hindsight, I should have looked it up beforehand. Thank you for adding it in the talk page. --Danimo (talk) 07:48, 5 September 2018 (UTC)

Danimo Hi, Greeting to you. No worries, I believe the info do add value to you as a Wikipedia editor. Do visit Wikipedia:Translation on translation if you have not as it would be helpful intent to translate DE Wikipedia article to EN Wikipedia. Cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 11:36, 6 September 2018 (UTC)

UFC 224

I hope I'm doing this properly. With regards to your message - this is the source I used List_of_UFC_records#In_a_single_event. Should I add it again with this source? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anibar E (talkcontribs) 05:00, 6 September 2018 (UTC)

Anibar E Hi Greetings. You can add the info back as long as you support it with independent, reliable source, such as from regular MMA article such as MMA junkie, MMA Fighting, Sherdog, MMA Viking, MMA Mad, MMADNA, MMA Brasil, MMA Sukca, BJ report, any major newspapers and etc. Please note Wikipedia can NOT use as the source - pls see WP:CIRCULAR. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 05:51, 6 September 2018 (UTC)

Draft:PACM amine

You recently rejected my article PACM Amine. I thought this would be useful so I researched more. What I found is that there is an existing article but it is not with that title. I have now cleaned up and inline cited PACM amine etc. So I am wondering the best way to proceed. Maybe to delete my article and I will add in bits to the existing article and perhaps say "The Industry calls this product PACM (I know because I have been in the industry since 1975 and use the product on a daily basis). Anyway, shame on me and I apologize as I should have been a bit more thorough in the first place in my research and would not have created the new article. The existing article is " 4,4-Diaminodicyclohexylmethane " which is itself a redirect from H12MDA . As you can see these are both mouthfuls to say and why the industry calls it PACM.

Anyway, thanks in advance for your help.

Hi GRALISTAIR, Good day. Since there is an existing article similar subject that of yours 4,4-Diaminodicyclohexylmethane, what you could
  1. you could add the content into the the existing 4,4-Diaminodicyclohexylmethane article with inline citation (sources), provided the info is not in the existing article.
  2. delete the draft article by inserting{{Db-G7}} (author requests article to be deleted) and place "author requests as an existing article of similar subject already in Wikipedia main space" on the edit summary before saving. You would see a panel showed up in the draft page of such request when you view the draft and admin will delete the page within 24 hours after the request.
  3. you could create a new page title "PACM Amine" and redirect to 4,4-Diaminodicyclohexylmethane. Steps are as follow
(i) go to search window (top right corner of any Wikipedia page) and type "PACM Amine" and enter
(ii) click on the red ink PACM Amine - on "You may create the page "PACM Amine", but consider checking the search result below to see whether the topic is already covered." (you could add "also call and enter.
(iii) Redirect - Insert #REDIRECT [[4,4-Diaminodicyclohexylmethane]] and save.
Let me know if anything else I could help. Cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 16:19, 6 September 2018 (UTC)

Proposed Page Deletion: Subject Does Not Wish To Have Page

Per Wikipedia:Proposed_deletion as a page editor, you are being informed of the proposed deletion of the page.

JEM1406a see below message. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 12:51, 11 September 2018 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Carol Morgan

The article Carol Morgan has been proposed for deletion. The proposed deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

Reason: Subject does not wish to have page. --JEM1406a (talk) 12:11, 11 September 2018 (UTC)

JEM1406a The above article Carol Morgan is created by you. You have placed 2 times Proposed for deletion - subject does not wish to have page on my talk page as well as on @Meatsgains, Tom.Reding, Scottyoak2, Arjayay, Ejdguiseley, GoingBatty, and Dinoandthemoo: 's talk page. If you want the article to be deleted, pls insert Db-G7 on top of the page before save. If not please stop such disruptive edits, for warning will be given and continuing doing so will subject to be blocked. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 12:51, 11 September 2018 (UTC)

Draft:Faye Treacy- updated

Thanks for your tip on updating https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Faye_Treacy

I've now heavily updated it - is it ok now?

Best wishes

Jim — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jim Fielden (talkcontribs) 13:21, 12 September 2018 (UTC)

Jim Fielden Greetings to you. I have reviewed the draft article; however it does not meet the requirements as required as per my comments (1st review) 'Please note independent, reliable sources (RS) (secondary sources) are what we after where by subject is "directly" talk about and not merely passing mentioned/part of the article. Sources from homepage, associated with the subject, interview, press releases, facebook, user generated content and etc are primary (not independent) and can not be use to demonstrate subject notability. We need at least 3 RS such as from major newspapers". The sources provided need to satisfy be both requirements (1)independent from the subject and (2) are reliable. There are a few reliable sources from newspapers, however, they are interview pieces where by the information/content is from the subject (Treacy) which this would considered "primary source / not independent". Secondary sources are those sources where by other people talk about the subject and not the subject (Treacy) in this case" talk about herself. Secondly, other secondary sources provided where by other people talk about Treacy but she is only passing mentioned/ partly mentioned. Besides the secondary, reliable source requirements, an entertainer/(comedian) need to satisfy at least one of the notability requirements from Wikipedia - see below:
  1. Has had significant roles in multiple notable films, television shows, stage performances, or other productions.
  2. Has a large fan base or a significant "cult" following.
  3. Has made unique, prolific or innovative contributions to a field of entertainment.
For a new comedian who has just been noticed in the last few years, it is usually not easy to find the sources and meet the entertainer notability requirements set by Wikipedia for it is WP:TOOSOON as of now for the draft page to be in the main space of Wikipedia. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 15:38, 12 September 2018 (UTC)

Re: Cody Stamann

Understood. But what if Stamann's offical UFC profile has him listed at 5'6" and I use his UFC.com profile as a cited source. Is that acceptable? Powderkegg (talk) 15:44, 12 September 2018 (UTC)

Powderkegg Greetings to you and thank you for your question. If you provide inline citation then you could change the height as per Wikipedia policy content added/changed need to supported by source for verification; however, I would not advice to do so for the reason that the info (height) would be obtained from Sherdog and guidelines do indicate to use sherdog info unless info could only be obtain from other sources such as the "reach" where we get it from UFC/Tapology (with cited source) or the fighters' BJJ belt rankings and etc. I have noticed many times, the fighters' heights indicated by UFC are a little off the mark (the fighters' profile during the official weight-in ceremonies or fight nights), where UFC do inflated the fighters' heights. To say that, I am not saying info from Sherdog is 100% accurate or up to date (such as team/affiliation/gym info and I do update gym info with cited source). Happy editing and thank you for your contribution on MMA related article in Wikipedia. Cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 16:11, 12 September 2018 (UTC)

I think Mara Romero Borella is notable she has fought once in Invicta and twice in the UFC and now with her criminal conviction she is surely deserving of a solo article. Dwanyewest (talk) 23:53, 13 September 2018 (UTC)

Rayner111, Greetings. the draft of your have been deleted under CSD G12 - copyright violation. Since it is deleted by Wikipedia admin, I could not able to view it now. I had taken a look briefly prior it was deleted and understand that some parts of the article were direct quotes but other part were not. Please note that Wikipedia takes violation of copyright infringement very seriously as it entails legal imprecations. How many words that the original source is copied and paste on the article would be subject from courts/industry practice, some experts would say anything more than 4 consecutive words copied from the original sources would considered copyright infringement as long as they are not proper nouns, common phrases, document/event/title names and etc. Ever though direct quote is permissible to used but should not be the major part of an article. I suggest you to write your article in your own words (summaries the important/main points in your own words). Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 09:29, 15 September 2018 (UTC)

NPR Newsletter No.13 18 September 2018

Hello Cassiopeia, thank you for your work reviewing New Pages!

The New Page Feed currently has 2700 unreviewed articles, up from just 500 at the start of July. For a while we were falling behind by an average of about 40 articles per day, but we have stabilised more recently. Please review some articles from the back of the queue if you can (Sort by: 'Oldest' at Special:NewPagesFeed), as we are very close to having articles older than one month.

Project news
As part of this project, the feed will have some larger updates to functionality next month. Specifically, ORES predictions will be built in, which will automatically flag articles for potential issues such as vandalism or spam. Copyright violation detection will also be added to the new page feed. See the projects's talk page for more info.
Other
Moving to Draft and Page Mover
  • Some unsuitable new articles can be best reviewed by moving them to the draft space, but reviewers need to do this carefully and sparingly. It is most useful for topics that look like they might have promise, but where the article as written would be unlikely to survive AfD. If the article can be easily fixed, or if the only issue is a lack of sourcing that is easily accessible, tagging or adding sources yourself is preferable. If sources do not appear to be available and the topic does not appear to be notable, tagging for deletion is preferable (PROD/AfD/CSD as appropriate). See additional guidance at WP:DRAFTIFY.
  • If the user moves the draft back to mainspace, or recreates it in mainspace, please do not re-draftify the article (although swapping it to maintain the page history may be advisable in the case of copy-paste moves). AfC is optional except for editors with a clear conflict of interest.
  • Articles that have been created in contravention of our paid-editing-requirements or written from a blatant NPOV perspective, or by authors with a clear COI might also be draftified at discretion.
  • The best tool for draftification is User:Evad37/MoveToDraft.js(info). Kindly adapt the text in the dialogue-pop-up as necessary (the default can also be changed like this). Note that if you do not have the Page Mover userright, the redirect from main will be automatically tagged as CSD R2, but in some cases it might be better to make this a redirect to a different page instead.
  • The Page Mover userright can be useful for New Page Reviewers; occasionally page swapping is needed during NPR activities, and it helps avoid excessive R2 nominations which must be processed by admins. Note that the Page Mover userright has higher requirements than the NPR userright, and is generally given to users active at Requested Moves. Only reviewers who are very experienced and are also very active reviewers are likely to be granted it solely for NPP activities.
List of other useful scripts for New Page Reviewing

  • Twinkle provides a lot of the same functionality as the page curation tools, and some reviewers prefer to use the Twinkle tools for some/all tasks. It can be activated simply in the gadgets section of 'preferences'. There are also a lot of options available at the Twinkle preferences panel after you install the gadget.
  • In terms of other gadgets for NPR, HotCat is worth turning on. It allows you to easily add, remove, and change categories on a page, with name suggestions.
  • MoreMenu also adds a bunch of very useful links for diagnosing and fixing page issues.
  • User:Equazcion/ScriptInstaller.js(info): Installing scripts doesn't have to be complicated. Go to your common.js and copy importScript( 'User:Equazcion/ScriptInstaller.js' ); into an empty line, now you can install all other scripts with the click of a button from the script page! (Note you need to be at the ".js" page for the script for the install button to appear, not the information page)
  • User:TheJosh/Scripts/NewPagePatrol.js(info): Creates a scrolling new pages list at the left side of the page. You can change the number of pages shown by adding the following to the next line on your common.js page (immediately after the line importing this script): npp_num_pages=20; (Recommended 20, but you can use any number from 1 to 50).
  • User:Primefac/revdel.js(info): Is requesting revdel complicated and time consuming? This script helps simplify the process. Just have the Copyvio source URL and go to the history page and collect your diff IDs and you can drop them into the script Popups and it will create a revdel request for you.
  • User:Lourdes/PageCuration.js(info): Creates a "Page Curation" link to Special:NewPagesFeed up near your sandbox link.
  • User:Writ Keeper/Scripts/deletionFinder.js: Creates links next to the title of each page which show up if it has been previously deleted or nominated for deletion.
  • User:Evad37/rater.js(info): A fantastic tool for adding WikiProject templates to article talk pages. If you add: rater_autostartNamespaces = 0; to the next line on your common.js, the prompt will pop up automatically if a page has no Wikiproject templates on the talk page (note: this can be a bit annoying if you review redirects or dab pages commonly).

Go here to remove your name if you wish to opt-out of future mailings. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 23:11, 17 September 2018 (UTC)

On Deleting The Page Carol Morgan

Hi Cassiopeia, I created the page Carol Morgan to which others then contributed. Since then the subject of the page reached out to me and requested that the page be deleted. One of those other editors Dinoandthemoo added the deletion request notice. Subsequently I added a note on your and other editors talk page. No genuine contributor wants their work deleted so that seemed the polite approach. deletion guidelines.

(Sorry about doing it twice I thought I fixed that.)

I see the next step would be AFD so I am reading about that now. --JEM1406a (talk) 14:56, 18 September 2018 (UTC)

JEM1406a Hi the page has been reviewed. Article in Wikipedia is not subject to whether the subject decision of whether it should be in Wikipedia. You would take it to AfD, editor could nominate AfD the page if they think the subject is not notable enough after a WP:BEFORE; however, I do think the subject passes WP:GNG. Do pop by if you need any further assistance. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 15:08, 18 September 2018 (UTC)
Cassiopeia, I understood the page had been PROD, as in proposed deletion, but not AfD. Before I read your last comment I have added it to the AfD. There is also something weird going on with the history which no longer shows you, Dinoandthemoo nor a comment that by another editor that indicated the next step was AfD. Ahhh :-) I think I will just let AfD run it's course. I have done what I can to facilitate Carol's request for deletion at this point. If you think otherwise please let me know. And thanks for your guidance. --JEM1406a (talk) 15:37, 18 September 2018 (UTC)

Draft:Lydia MacDonald draft article

Hi, thank you for commenting on the draft article on Lydia MacDonald. I have added material and references which I hope will address your concerns. One point I should mention is that Lydia MacDonald already has an approved Wikipedia page devoted to her, but this is on the Wikipedia Italian language site. So one of my reasons for submitting an updated and improved draft was to ensure that she was covered appropriately on the English language site. Thank you again for your helpful suggestions. Best wishes, David Dchilver (talk) 13:39, 27 September 2018 (UTC)

Dchilver Good day. I have reviewed your article; however it does not meet the English Wikipedia requirement to merit a page in the main space at the moment. Pls see below
  1. Please read WP:Your First Article and referencing for beginner to familiar yourself on how to write an article and provide inline citation in Wikipedia.
  2. please note we are after independence, reliable source/(secondary source such as sources from newspaper and reliable journals where by the sources talk about the subject in length and in dept and not merely passing mentioned
  3. Source from home page, utube, twitter, interviews, listing, sources affiliated with the subject, user generated content and etc are considered WP:PRIMARY sources which they could not be used to demonstrate the notability of the subject.
Different language Wikipedia has different requirements. From my understanding EN Wikipedia has the strictest requirement as compare to other sister Wikipedia. A article of a subject might be accepted by IT Wikipedia, and with the same content and sources might not be make it to EN Wikipedia mainspace. Do note all sisters language Wikipedia work independently and have different requirements. The important thing is that the subject needs to be notable and secondly the article needs to be well sourced by independent, reliable sources. Do note no amount of editing can overcome a lack of notability.
Do pop by if you need further assistance. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 16:35, 27 September 2018 (UTC)

UFC 230 Main Event Diaz vs Poirier for UFC Super Lightweight Champion

@CASSIOPEIA: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=UFC_230&oldid=861268108#cite_note-5 I think the source was from reliable source unless Diaz and Poirier are trolling again. Colton Meltzer (talk) 22:51, 26 September 2018 (UTC)

Hi Colton Meltzer, Good day.
Reliable and independent source
A source could be both reliable and [[WP:IS|independent - (independent from the subject) or secondary source - which is what Wikipedia is after such as a source from ESPN reports the Khabib vs Corner LW title bout.
  1. A source could be NOT reliable and NOT independent, such as a source from twitter from which the author is associated/affiliated with the subject.
  2. A source cold be NOT reliable but independent, such as source from a blog from someone who has NO association with the subject.
  3. A source also could be reliable but not independent such as the one you pointed out the above. MMA Junkie is a reliable source but use the article as reference for Nate Diaz vs. Dustin Poirier for the first UFC Superfighter weight division bout then that would be not independent as the info is obtained from the subjects themselves (Diaz and Poirier). The source would be considered as a WP:PRIMARY source. We often see fighters announce their on Twitter or Instagram or Facebook upcoming fights prior the press report and in Wikipedia we could considered the source (the Twitter/Instagram/Facebook) not reliable and not independent.
UFC officials/Dana White have shut down Diaz/Poirier claim of Nate Diaz vs. Dustin Poirier for the first UFC Superfighter weight division for UFC 230 shortly after the news spread - see here see here]
My opinion
  1. For most fans, both Diaz and Poirier are not consider trolling fighters, although Diaz and his brother Nick would "smack talk" their opponents.
  2. My take is that both Diaz and Poirier strategically colluding the message on Twitter to
  3. Market the bout
  4. To put this new 165 Ib division forth front in hope UFC would introduce this division as many fans, fighters such as Kevin Lee,[1] Rafael dos Anjos,[2] and James Krause.[3] and the media have show interest and support of this new division.
  5. To promote their bout to main event since there is no main event in place for UFC 230 at the moment as the ticket went on sales this morning as traditionally UFC flagship event would have at least one title fight, even thought as per report, with most of UFC champions either booked or injured, UFC is working on LHW title bout between Yoel Romero and Alexander Gustafsson.[4]
Have the above help or useful to you. Cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 14:42, 27 September 2018 (UTC)
P/S ping here @Sameem123:, as you have asked few times regarding the 165 Ib division, do see above.

Question Main Event

@CASSIOPEIA: Valentina Shevchenko vs. Sijara Eubanks UFC 230, is this a joke or troll source main event? Who Sijara Eubanks? https://mmajunkie.com/2018/10/ufc-230-main-event-valentina-shevchenko-vs-sijara-eubanks-vacant-flyweight-title-joanna-jedrzejczyk

Colton Meltzer Greetings. My take - I believe it is legit. Even with the title belt, there should be another high level match up on the card. If Guss and Romero bout is secured then all is good, if not, UFC might have to promote Poiere /Diaz bout actively for co-main. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 07:21, 3 October 2018 (UTC)
@CASSIOPEIA: This is a Bull Main Event in MSG UFC 230 - Who is Sijara eubanks??? I just wait until UFC 230 update the ufc.com page to actually confirm if this is not a fake main event. Colton Meltzer (talk) 22:22, 3 October 2018 (UTC)

The Pit and The Pendulum (1991)

My input on the movie "The Pit and The Pendulum" is personal experience. I've seen the Time Copy video myself. To tell you the truth, I've made it my mission to find this particular scene. I have every edition of this movie, but this scene is nowhere to be seen except the remnant of that scene. I cannot cite sources except my experience in movie watching. If you wish to watch that movie, it's near the end of the movie when the hero escapes the pendulum and is attacked by the prison guards and a minor revolt ensues for the rescue of his girlfriend. All that remains of the scene is the two pieces of the hat falling to the grown. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.71.205.2 (talk) 07:05, 7 October 2018 (UTC)

What this user say on the edit summary? https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=UFC_230&oldid=863310622 Colton Meltzer (talk) 00:26, 10 October 2018 (UTC)

Colton Meltzer good day.
"get knickers in a knot", "get knickers in a twist", "get one's panties in a bunch", "get knickers in a bunch" (knickers means lady underwear) means:
To become unnecessarily upset over a trivial matter; get worked or you'll make the problem worse; to loose your temper ; to become very annoyed
could add "dont" in front for reversal meaning, such as "don't get knickers in a bunch" = don't be upset over a problem of trivial matter.
Cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 04:13, 10 October 2018 (UTC)
@CASSIOPEIA: "nickers in a bunch lol" that whats on the user edit summary. It feel like it might be a racial slang or something. Colton Meltzer (talk) 04:15, 10 October 2018 (UTC)
Colton Meltzer it is not a racial slang. The editor missed the "k" before "nicker" :). the editor just stating all the drama of changing the headliner bout and stating to keep cool and not be upset. By the way, you dont need to "ping" the editor if you are in their talk page (such you you dont need to ping me here since this is my talk page). However, you need to ping the editor in any other pages such your talk page, article talk pages, discussion talk pages and etc. Cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 04:32, 10 October 2018 (UTC)

Edited post - Fiordland College

Thank you for your advice re- editing posts. Sources

Everytime I add a source to something a add on a page, it says that I'm using a blocked domain. What could be causing that problem? WWEFan1926 (talk) 22:19, 17 October 2018 (UTC)

WWEFan1926 Greetings to you. Usually is a domain/site is blocked (blacklisted) by Wikipedia, the site would be spam site or due to some technical reasons. I know you are an active editor in MMA and WWE articles in Wikipedia. For MMA, there are a lot of independent, reliable sources which you could use for inline citations (sources) to support the content claimed, such as MMADNA from Netherlands, MMA Viking - Nordic MMA news], SportTV (Brazil site), MMA Brazil (Portuguese), Kimura (Sweden site), , In the Cage (Poland site), for US sites (sources) - [https://mmasucka.com/ufc/ MMA sucka, MMA Junkie, MMA news, MMA Mania, Sherdog, MMA Fighting, BJ Penn just to name some and any major newspapers in world.
I have seen you adding sources and leave a brief edit summary description of your edits recently, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for doing so for Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and content added need to be verified and edit summary is a way to inform other editors of your edit where Wikipedia is the collaboration work of many editors. Thank you and cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 16:20, 18 October 2018 (UTC)

NPR Newsletter No.14 21 October 2018

Chart of the New Pages Patrol backlog for the past 6 months.

Hello Cassiopeia, thank you for your work reviewing New Pages!

Backlog

As of 21 October 2018, there are 3650 unreviewed articles and the backlog now stretches back 51 days.

Community Wishlist Proposal
Project updates
  • ORES predictions are now built-in to the feed. These automatically predict the class of an article as well as whether it may be spam, vandalism, or an attack page, and can be filtered by these criteria now allowing reviewers to better target articles that they prefer to review.
  • There are now tools being tested to automatically detect copyright violations in the feed. This detector may not be accurate all the time, though, so it shouldn't be relied on 100% and will only start working on new revisions to pages, not older pages in the backlog.
