Season's Greetings edit

Wishing you a Charlie Brown
Charlie Russell Christmas! 🎄
Best wishes for your Christmas
Is all you get from me
'Cause I ain't no Santa Claus
Don't own no Christmas tree.
But if wishes was health and money
I'd fill your buck-skin poke
Your doctor would go hungry
An' you never would be broke."
—C.M. Russell, Christmas greeting 1914.

2023 Hall of Fame edit

Hi there. Not sure if your recent edits on the 2023 Hall of Fame class should be rolled back for now, simply because the subjects in question have not yet been formally inducted. Was wondering what your thoughts were. Thanks! JRHorse (talk) 11:29, 26 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

I understand your concerns. However, this is not a WP:CRYSTAL situation which is described as unverifiable speculation, rumors, or presumptions. You, yourself have provided all the so called inductees for 2023 with a reference that can be used as clear proof that this induction is a rubber stamp for the formal induction. We can move this discussion to the project talk page for additional comments and suggestions. Its no big deal form me since we have a historical edit that can be done if necessary. Cheers! File copyright problem with File:Breeders Cup 2023 logo.png edit

Thank you for uploading File:Breeders Cup 2023 logo.png. However, it is currently missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Vladlen Manilov / 09:00, 21 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Request for a VideoClip of the "TheSphere" edit

Hello Brudder Andrusha As a Las Vegas resident you might have heard of The Sphere, the new futuristic building in LV. For the article it would be nice to have not only a proper picture of this now finished building, but also a little video (in a gif-format at best). See the discussion here. Would you do this? I ask you, because you are one of the only three of Category:Wikipedians in Las Vegas, who was active in 2023. If you do, know that the Sphere is only activated during the evening and night. Please let me know, if you would make a video of it, prefereably when the Sphere changes its appearance. Best regards, LennBr (talk) 02:52, 8 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Image copyright problem with File:Breeders Cup 2023 logo.png edit

Thank you for uploading File:Breeders Cup 2023 logo.png.

This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the image description page states the source and copyright status of the derivative work, it only names the creator of the original work without specifying the status of their copyright over the work.

Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the original image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. Thanks again for your cooperation. — Ирука13 20:55, 25 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:Breeders Cup 2023 logo.png edit

Thanks for uploading File:Breeders Cup 2023 logo.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 11:17, 26 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:2021 racehorse births edit

A tag has been placed on Category:2021 racehorse births indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 21:03, 4 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Auguste Rodin edit

Hello, a new user keeps adding in text to the Lead about the horse's failures. I've sent him a message to desist, although the "career" section can say so, but it might be useful for you also to revert his edits rather than it looking as if I'm on his/her case. ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message edit

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:34, 28 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Justify edit

Hi, I reverted your edits on Justify. As noted here and in other sources, the judge ordered the California Horse Racing Board to issue a new ruling with regard to Justify. The judge's ruling itself does not disqualify the horse. This article also indicates that the board is weighing its legal options at this time. Thanks, JRHorse (talk) 12:35, 2 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

OK. I will revert again when the CHRB has to make the right formal decision. It's coming!Brudder Andrusha (talk) 16:31, 2 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
I'm sure there will be a follow up in due course. Just in case, I think they post official rulings on this website. JRHorse (talk) 23:10, 2 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
