Tool for listing reviewers?

Brian, I remember from a while back that someone had a tool that would output the usernames of everyone who commented in a FAC ... was that yours? - Dank (push to talk) 12:19, 15 July 2011 (UTC)

No, the only such tool I know of is the "Reviewer summary" in the toolbox on the FAC page, which lists the usernames of all contributors to the current FAC page - does that help you? Brianboulton (talk) 14:25, 15 July 2011 (UTC)
Only if I can adapt it to a single FAC page ... I'll have a look. Thanks. - Dank (push to talk) 15:25, 15 July 2011 (UTC)
Don't see it at FAC or WT:FAC, and a search on the FAC page doesn't give me any hits. - Dank (push to talk) 15:30, 15 July 2011 (UTC)
Doesn't your toolbox on the left of the FAC page include "Reviewer summary", listed between "Special pages" and "Page size"? I thought this toolbox was a standard feature on every page, but perhaps it is only available with certain browsers. I use Mozilla Firefox. Brianboulton (talk) 15:36, 15 July 2011 (UTC)
I use Firefox too, and it doesn't show up on WP:FAC, WT:FAC, or any page that I've noticed. I'm done with this quarter's totals, I'll have a look at your scripts next quarter to see if I can pick out which script is giving you that tool. - Dank (push to talk) 16:07, 15 July 2011 (UTC)
Well, perhaps one of the admins who watches this page will pick up on this and explain why I have it and you don't. Brianboulton (talk) 16:50, 15 July 2011 (UTC)
That is a script that Dank presumably does not have installed. See WP:Nominations Viewer. Ucucha 18:11, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
Ah, that's it, thanks. - Dank (push to talk) 18:36, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

K&A Canal

Thanks for your copy edits and comments on the Kennet and Avon Canal and at the FAC. Malleus has now finished another copy edit sweep and it would be great if you could take another look.— Rod talk 07:04, 16 July 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for your further comments about the Kennet and Avon Canal at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Kennet and Avon Canal/archive2. I believe they have been addressed and it would be great if you had time to take another look.— Rod talk 12:18, 22 July 2011 (UTC)

At last

There is still the sound of hammering, and you might notice several cleanup crews still working, but Richard Nixon has returned yet again to the peer review ranks, here. Do your worst.--Wehwalt (talk) 21:46, 16 July 2011 (UTC)

Brunette Coleman

Hi Brian, I am pretty sure you can just go in and edit the Brunette Coleman page (essntially overwriting the redirect). I tried it (did not save any edits) and it did not ask me for any of my admin bells and whistles. If for some reason this does not work, let me know and I can either delete the redirect (so you can make a "new" article) or edit it myself to a one sentence stub. Hirst

I've done what I can for your comments on Hirst so far. Thanks again and as usual, let me know if I can repay you in any way, however small. And just a reminder about Waddington, although do not worry if you don't have time to do anything; I've been a bit snowed under myself. Feel free to tell me where to go! --Sarastro1 (talk) 20:18, 18 July 2011 (UTC)

I'm away from home for a couple of days but I'll try and catch up with my chores (including Waddington) when I get back. Brianboulton (talk) 22:00, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
Much obliged once more for both reviews. Your help is always appreciated. I should be able to leave you alone for a while now! --Sarastro1 (talk) 20:09, 21 July 2011 (UTC)

Email

Hi Brian, I have the New York Times articles as PDFs and am glad to email them to you. I emailed you through Wikipedia, so email me back please (and then I can send attachments to you). Yours, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 16:40, 19 July 2011 (UTC)

Hi Brian, I sent you an email via Wikipedia, but have not gotten a reply at my email account. Sorry. Did you get my email? Ruhrfisch ><>°° 18:04, 23 July 2011 (UTC)
Per my note on your talkpage, I emailed you on 19 July, but it clearly went somewhere else. I have tried again, just now: any luck? Brianboulton (talk) 19:06, 23 July 2011 (UTC)
I have not gotten any email from you either - not sure why. I know we have a mutual friend who has been in email contact with you before, so you should have something in your email box courtesy of Finetooth. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 00:16, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
I sent two e-mails, spaced about an hour apart, earlier this evening. The first one should have the two PDFs attached. Finetooth (talk) 02:04, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
I'm pleased to say that the PDFs have arrrived, courtesy of the Finetooth express. My thanks to you both. Brianboulton (talk) 07:55, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
Glad you got them and many thanks to Finetooth - feel free to email me if you have questions, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 11:20, 24 July 2011 (UTC)

Glad you got them and that they proved useful. Please let me know when messiah is ta FAC. Will email you on family tree. Do you still need the redirect fixed?. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 03:47, 26 July 2011 (UTC)

Thank you

Thank you for your comments at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Harold Pinter/archive1 which helped in the process of getting this article to FA status. Jezhotwells (talk) 16:45, 19 July 2011 (UTC)

Far Eastern Party

Hi Brian. If you can spare a minute, could you please have a look at Far Eastern Party for me, and comment at its PR before I take the article to FAC? On a related matter, I left a message on the Amundsen workpage a couple of days ago; perhaps you missed it. Thanks, Apterygial talk 03:44, 21 July 2011 (UTC)

I will certainly look at Far Eastern Party and comment as appropriate. It may be tomorrow rather than today because I am backlogged after a couple of days' absence. Sorry I missed your Amundsen note; I have now responded. Brianboulton (talk) 09:02, 21 July 2011 (UTC)

Funny order

Two parts of Messiah are on the Main page today, funny order III, then I, excellent picture of Worthy is the Lamb autograph, cute lamb in our local church, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 09:30, 22 July 2011 (UTC)

Talk:Middlesex (novel)#Inaccurate terminology

Hi Brianboulton. You provided some helpful comments for Middlesex (novel) at Talk:Middlesex (novel)#Some general (and hopefully useful) comments. As an editor experienced with sourcing, would you take a look at Talk:Middlesex (novel)#Inaccurate terminology and give an opinion? There is a conflict about the use of "intersex" and "hermaphrodite" in the article. Thanks! Cunard (talk) 06:53, 23 July 2011 (UTC)

Can-can anyone?

A friend of mine was wont to refer, apropos of Beecham's last, exuberant Messiah recording, to the can-can in the Hallelujah chorus. So I've hugely overhauled the Offenbach article and put it up for PR if you care to look in... Tim riley (talk) 18:44, 25 July 2011 (UTC)

Can-can do, though it may be a wee-wee while. Brianboulton (talk) 20:13, 25 July 2011 (UTC)

Messiah

Your note found me on Gloria (Handel), just started, for fun. Typical newspaper heading: "Lost work by Handel could rival Messiah / An unknown choral work by Handel that some music scholars believe will come to be regarded as significant as Messiah has been discovered in the library of the Royal Academy of Music", couldn't resist to quote that fully, although not encyclopedic. (It's a nice 15 min soprano solo with 2 violins, as the article under that heading correctly says.) - Messiah: well, we are talking the main article, right, and I almost took out more than I added. I was never in a FA nom, so don't quite know what it means. One thing is sure: I put a lot into the other four articles, now - finally - Part II is also accepted for DYK. For Messiah itself, I feel more like a consultant than a contributor. So, as you wish, taking it from there, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:42, 26 July 2011 (UTC)

Although most of your efforts have been directed to subarticles I feel that your contribution to the improvement of the main article, whether as consultant or editor, has been significant. Adding your name to the FA nominators recognises this; it imposes no special obligation on you, and I think it is justified. Brianboulton (talk) 15:36, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
Thank you, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:49, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
Found Messiah in 1858, made me smile, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:28, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
Accidentally I just found this, didn't read it yet, but both the author's name (who apparently writes a lot on Handel) and mentioning of "Lent" (in Dublin) are missing in Messiah. I have an argument on Christmas music#Church feast, where Messiah is listed among the pieces "especially composed for Christmas". We can't expect people to know if 13 April was before or after Easter in 1741, smile, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:51, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
I like this quote on the first performance (very end of program notes): "They seem’d indeed throughly engag’d from one end to the other. And in their great honour, tho’ the young and gay of both Sexes were present in great numbers, their behaviour was uniformly grave & decent, which show’d that they were not only pleas’d but affected with the performance". Affected, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:02, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
Yes, there are many such quotes, but we have to keep the article's detail within limits. I have made the FAC nom now, so no further changes for the moment. Brianboulton (talk) 22:40, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
Not for the article, just for fun. - Two voices were already heard, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:43, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
That was some time ago. - Handel's Gloria was on the Main page already, and tomorrow I will hear Rinaldo for the first time, in concert at the Rheingau Musik Festival, - just for fun, going to read the article again, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:02, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
