Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Muzaffarpur Shelter Home Rape Case edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Muzaffarpur Shelter Home Rape Case requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.news18.com/newstopics/sexual-abuse.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 20:10, 7 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Please don't copy material you find elsewhere online edit

Hello. I am Diannaa and I am a Wikipedia administrator. Prose you find online is almost always copyright, and cannot be copied here; it's against the law and the copyright policy of this website to do so. All prose must be written in your own words. There's more information about copyrights and how it applies to Wikipedia at Wikipedia:FAQ/Copyright. Copyright law and its application are complex matters, and you should not edit any more until you have taken the time to read and understand our copyright policy. Further copyright violations will result in you being blocked from editing. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 02:23, 8 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Umar Khalid edit

Hello. In regards to your comment on Talk:Umar Khalid:

Why exactly has this page been protected? Umar Khalid has been involved in Dalit protests, was in the news from being suspended from JNU and is the son of Syed Qasim Rasool Ilyas. He keeps getting mentioned on news debates by Arnab Goswami He seems notable enough to be mentioned. I don't think the only reason of him being notable is far from just being in the JNU controversy. Many other wiki pages mention his name. Breakfastisready (talk) 03:32, 9 August 2018 (UTC)

Umar Khalid was creation protected after having been repeatedly created. You can start Draft:Umar Khalid by going to Wikipedia:Your first article. Let me know if you need any help. Sam Sailor 07:06, 9 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Use of cliscep edit

Hi there. I undid your use of a cliscep source on the Jordan Peterson page. This is because the source is only a group blog, and so is a self-published source (WP:SPS). If the claim is found in more reliable sources, then it may be appropriate. I suggest you take a look at the linked policy and see for yourself. Happy editing! Jlevi (talk) 18:11, 19 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Jlevi: Hi. The source is actually just a transcript of an interview. Do you think the video itself be an acceptable source for this edit? Breakfastisready (talk) 21:28, 19 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
