Helpme request edit

Hello , thanks for the welcome, as per your rules I want to disclose that I am writing a page for the company I work at , however I fully intend and to write a totally objective page that adds value to Wikipedia. We honestly believe we have significant external sources and have something that should be searchable for users. We have had a number of high profile by lines and full articles in National papers in the UK such as the Times. We also have much quoted thought leadership about topics that are highly relevant to the tech industry and anyone interested in technology at large including academics and companies in retail . We often employ well known independent research companies such as Forrester and Gartner to interview sections of the population and get objective research on the state of technology such as the Internet of Things and how it is impacting retail. These subjects are actually starting to become mainstream and we believe we can genuinely add value here. We have also helped build the platform for Sap hybris one of the largest ecommerce platform providers and are part of the WPP network so this might be taken into consideration, weare an influential organisation. Please can you help me to write an objective article, it would be very helpful if you could add constructive feedback and suggestions as I edit the article which we are willing to do, instead of just deleting my page. I hope we can work together to write a useful and valuable page for the Wikipedia community. Thanks Ben— Preceding unsigned comment added by BenRS (talkcontribs) 04:48, July 25, 2017 (UTC)

Ben, my first response about your wanting to create an article for your company is simple: Don't do it. No, seriously. You have been honest with the community here by declaring your Conflict of Interest so I will be equally honest and perhaps a bit blunt and direct you to the Paid-contribution disclosure. That legal policy is part of the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use for this website, which you agreed to abide by when you created your account. I suggest you might want to request another editor to create the article for you.
  1. Click This Link.
  2. Click the link in the Table of Contents for the category of article you would like created.
  3. Click the link for the the section heading that most closely applies to your article.
  4. Hold down the Shift and Alt keys and hit the "E" key (this brings up the edit window).
  5. Find a blank space under the subsection heading you think is applicable. These are set off from the main text by rows of equal signs on either side. For example the "North America" subsection heading for "History" looks like this: ==North America==
  6. Start a new request with a blank line.
  7. Type * {{req|MISSING_ARTICLE_NAME}} and replace "MISSING_ARTICLE_NAME" with the article name you think needs to be added.
  8. Add more information about what the the article is about, what the issue is, why it matters, and whatever links about the article you can supply. Note that there are standards of what subjects are "notable" enough for inclusion and anything you can do to indicate your subject meets those standards will be helpful.
  9. Finish your posting by typing four tilde characters in a row to sign your post. Like this: ~~~~
  10. Below the main text box is a smaller one that has the label "Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)". Type something like: "requesting new article about ..."
  11. Click "Show Preview" to make sure it looks good.
  12. Scroll all the way back down to the bottom where you will see the edit window again.
  13. Make any changes necessary
  14. Click "Save Changes"
I can't guarantee that this will get your article created, but it may be your best shot. Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 18:43, 25 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hello Eggishorn I added the page request a few weeks ago , is there anything else I can do or should I just wait for a response ? . Thanks Ben
@BenRS:, I apologize for the late response, but I have been away. I can't give you any reasonable timeline on requested pages, unfortunately. As I'm sure you noticed, there is a large backlog there. There is no requirement for anyone to fulfill these requests and editors address them as they find interest. In an all-volunteer project such as this, there is no reasonable means to force editors to fulfill edit or page creation requests, so I can only suggest that you wait and see. Sorry I can't be more definitive than that. Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 15:46, 13 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
