Hi, Bill. Timothy Perper (talk) 14:41, 13 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Tim. As you can see, though I'm a Wiki user, I haven't been doing much, but thanks for starting my Talk page.Bill (talk) 14:56, 13 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks! Please join in when you feel so inclined! We can **certainly** use another senior person in the roster of editors for manga. That basically means someone who respects scholarship and who won't put up with trash additions. Timothy Perper (talk) 18:35, 13 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well. . . in principle, yes, with reservations. You and Matt are experts on manga, I'm not. I'm interested in manga, have read some, have read about it, and I've even published an article on Tezuka's Metropolis. But, as you indicate, I am a scholar and so know what that's about. And I know quite a bit about culture in general and literary culture, so I'm experienced in thinking about things very much like manga. And I know well the agony of having to cover a large territory in few word. So perhaps I can help a bit "around the edges" as it were.Bill (talk) 21:11, 13 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks billions for doing the OEL table! I think the original research issue is settled. Timothy Perper (talk) 00:22, 7 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

About intertextuality and stuff edit

Come and visit User talk:Matt Thorn‎ where we're discussing intertextuality and related stuff under the heading of Needing Assistance (at the end). It's one of the first intellectual discussions I've had on Wiki. Timothy Perper (talk) 18:07, 23 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

More about CZ edit

Interesting and certainly more civilized than here. I keep running across all kinds of retired professors of this and that and engineers who deal with fish management. So far, so good. Timothy Perper (talk) 18:05, 25 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

hey there! edit

Good to see ya - thanks for catching the incorrect Hays link. I'm not sure how we got that wrong! Happy new year Tvoz/talk 00:34, 29 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Great! edit

That's excellent, Bill - Dave certainly deserves a page here. I renamed it David G. Hays as I've seen that format much more than his full name (in fact I never knew his middle name), but the original will redirect to the page. Do you have any personal info like where he was born, family, etc? Not essential, but it would round it out a bit. I expect the page will be tagged asking for specific inline citations rather than just the blanket "References", so any specific cites you might have would be great, tying to the points made in the piece. But this is a great start. Good to see you here! Tvoz/talk 00:08, 4 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
