Critical response edit

You made an edit and claimed it was Updating plot but instead of making changes to the plot section it added a summary of the Critical response section to the intro. This edit was soon deleted by User:Tropic Aces, or I would have reverted it entirely.

If you lie about your changes in your edit summaries your changes are likely to be reverted and you risk being blocked for disruptive editing.

Before adding a summary of reviews you should make sure the article contains reviews. Do not add a summary before reviews. The intro should summarize what is in the Wikipedia article. The summary should accurately reflects the reviews that have been included in the article. -- 109.76.158.204 (talk) 13:14, 12 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Writing about plot edit

Hi Badabingbadaboong,

Thanks for your efforts to keep comic book articles on Wikipedia up to date. That's an important function and WP:Comics needs all the help it can get.

I wanted to let you know that while adding recent plot information is helpful, articles should only contain brief summaries due to copyright limitations. Some of your additions read like play-by-play recaps which contain too much detail. These types of additions are like an invitation to other editors to revert you and remove all of your summary because it's easier than pruning the content themselves.

Here are some basic tips to keep in mind when you write a plot summary: 1. Keep it brief by stating the conclusion or outcome of an event instead of explaining the event itself. 2. Most modern single issues can be summarized in a sentence. If you need a paragraph, you have probably said too much. 3. Most modern story arcs can be summarized in a paragraph, if they need to be summarized at all. 4. If you're writing about an event like Endless Winter or a miniseries, the summary should be 750 words or less. I often check this by copy/pasting the summary into a Word document, but there are other ways.

Happy editing, Argento Surfer (talk) 16:07, 27 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Citing illegal sources edit

Hi,

Thanks for your contributions towards the King in Black article. Can you please not cite an illegal comic-reading site as your source for plot information though please. Readers of the Wikipedia article should not be encouraged to access this site.

AlligatorSky (talk) 12:00, 19 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Badabingbadaboong, AlligatorSky is correct. Eventually this site will be added to the blacklist so that you cannot link there, but you can still reference a title and issue number without having to use {{cite web}}. There is also {{cite comic}} that you can use if you want more detail than a simple <ref>King in Black #2</ref> type of reference, for example. Please refrain from adding more links, though, as it will make cleanup more difficult. -2pou (talk) 23:22, 23 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Ways to improve Super Sons of Tomorrow edit

Hello, Badabingbadaboong,

Thank you for creating Super Sons of Tomorrow.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Direct links to comic issues are a primary reference and not admitted for notability. Thank you.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Whiteguru}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Drowned Earth moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Drowned Earth, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. Please see WP:PLOT about having real world notability.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. December 2021 edit

Hello. Your recent edit to Template:Wonder Woman appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Without an article, it is not noteable. Please see the Write The Article First essay. Peaceray (talk) 05:45, 19 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

House of Brainiac moved to draftspace edit

Thanks for your contributions to House of Brainiac. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability, it has too many problems of language or grammar and needs a good copy-editing pass. Capitalise the creators' names. Move the plot from 'Publication history' (which should be in Sentence case, not Camel Case) to 'Plot summary' (likewise). The plot summary as written is confusing and assumes the reader knows the history.. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. BastunĖġáḍβáś₮ŭŃ! 21:40, 12 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
