please get the facts correct before making a change ....thank you Thuringowacityrep 04:25, 13 December 2006 (UTC) The facts are correct, you are just picking the wrong figures from an innapropriate source. - AucitypopsReply

Agreed. Please see discussion at [1].

Signing edit

I presume you are new... a hint for when you sign your entries, use ~~~~ otherwise called 'four tildes' and it will sign your entry automatically, and date stamp it. If you look down under the 'Show changes' button, you will see the 'sign your name' with the four tildes showing. Click on those tildes and it will automatically enter them in for you. Otherwise you will find people adding a signature and date stamp after you have edited. Cheers. SauliH 06:14, 13 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:Ultimo Sydney.JPG edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Ultimo Sydney.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 15:12, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Hervey Bay Population edit

the following is a quote from aussielegend-Although I've used the figure that you get when you add up the figures under Population in Selected Locations (ABS, 2006) as the population for Hervey Bay, this is probably not correct as the article identifies a number of towns that are "outside the Hervey Bay area but within the city council boundaries". If you remove these, as probably should happen, the population is only 43,652.

If the towns are within council boundaries then they are part of Hervey bay and that would explain the figures i use. —Preceding unsigned comment added by L.Wadsworth (talkcontribs) 11:32, 16 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

For the record, what User:L.Wadsworth quoted was relevant to the Hervey Bay, Queensland article, not List of cities in Australia by population. It's selective quoting at best. What I actually wrote can be seen at User talk:L.Wadsworth#List of cities in Australia by population. --AussieLegend (talk) 11:52, 16 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Glebe and Ultimo edit

Wentworth Park is in Ultimo, New South Wales not Glebe, New South Wales. Please check details and references before making changes. Cheers. J Bar (talk) 04:28, 17 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Wentworth Park edit

Hi mate, checking references is what I did before I made the change. According to both my street directory and the NSW government's mapping server, the gazetted boundary of Glebe and Ultimo runs along Wattle St, including the whole of Wentworth Park in Glebe. I admit the first picture is better looking, but Wentworth Park is unfortunately not technically in Ultimo. Maybe a more accurate caption will suit until someone obtains a more recent shot of Ultimo itself. - Aucitypops (talk) 05:04, 17 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Just to confirm, the listed website for the WP greyhounds has their address as "Wentworth Park Road, Glebe". - Aucitypops (talk) 05:11, 17 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
My street directory shows the suburb border just behind Wentworth Park Road. So that means that most of Wentworth Park is in Ultimo but the main entrance of the greyhound track is in Glebe. Since the photo is of the greayhound track, I'll move it to Glebe but I think the information about Wentworth Park itself should remain with Ultimo and Glebe. Cheers. Hi. Not trying to start an argument or anything, but was it you who deleted the material on the railway viaduct from the Ultimo article? I could understand if someone shifted it to Glebe, since we can't seem to agree on where it is, but dumping it completely is going a bit too far. It was relevant info about the area, especially since it is heritage. I've gone through the histories and there's no indication of who deleted it.

Anyway, if I've got the wrong person, my apologies and all that. Do you have any idea who did it if it wasn't you? I know we have to accept that other editors will do things we don't agree with, but in this case there was no reason for it at all. Anyway, cheers,

Hi again. Jbar reckons it was probably done by accident, and he's restored it. Sorry for bothering you.
