Categorization edit

Hello, VeyC0ntent,

If you are going to be working with categories on Wikipedia, please review category guidelines and policies like WP:PERFCAT. On Wikipedia, we don't categorize actors and actresses based on parts they have played in movies, TV or the theater. If you have questions, please bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Speedy deletion nomination of Category:British public speakers edit

A tag has been placed on Category:British public speakers indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself. Liz Read! Claudia Harrison moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Claudia Harrison, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ─ The Aafī (talk) 18:56, 24 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

November 2022 edit

Thank you for your contributions. It seems that you may have added public domain content to one or more Wikipedia articles, such as Edward Rolle. You are welcome to import appropriate public domain content to articles, but in order to meet the Wikipedia guideline on plagiarism, such content must be fully attributed. This requires not only acknowledging the source, but acknowledging that the source is copied. There are several methods to do this described at Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Public-domain sources, including the usage of an attribution template. Please make sure that any public domain content you have already imported is fully attributed. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 15:01, 6 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your interest. I have referenced the sources used on Edward Rolle and used quotation marks for any copied text. What exactly was plagiarised? VeyC0ntent (talk) 15:11, 6 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
You have to provide attribution when copying from public domain sources: simply add the template {{PD-notice}} after your citation. I have done so for the above article (Diff of Edward Rolle). Please do this in the future so that our readers will be aware that you copied the prose rather than wrote it yourself, and that it's okay to copy verbatim. Thanks, — Diannaa (talk) 15:26, 6 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Anthony Herschel Hill moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Anthony Herschel Hill, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption.
