January 2014 edit

Hello, I'm ThomasO1989. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Mario Kart 8, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. --ThomasO1989 (talk) 02:10, 6 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

First, nothing there states that the release date is 5/2/2014. Second, MarioWiki (as with any other Wiki) is not considered a reliable source by Wikipedia per WP:SPS. --ThomasO1989 (talk) 02:19, 6 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
No worries! Since you are new here (welcome), I highly recommend reading up on Getting started, which you can use to learn about Wikipedia's policies, guidelines, and manual of style. If you're looking to focus primarily on video game articles (as I do) you can check out the WikiProject for Video Games, where you can see which articles need the most help and learn which types of sources are best suited for the articles. There are plenty of editors in the project who are willing to assist if you have any questions. --ThomasO1989 (talk) 02:28, 6 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
