Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Karthik muniraman, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Character's last appearances edit

First thing: Can you stop undo the works of that user please? When you said that it must be their death to be their final appearance, then that is the most awkward argument I've ever heard. When the story is come to an end, logically, the characters that didn't die we will see them for the last time and it's on every story. The characters didn't have to die to make their final appearances. For example, Rick Grimes in the television series, he didn't die, but it's his final appearance. Or Robinson Crusoe, he was alive at the end of the story, but it's the last time we see him.

And the second thing: I don't understand your logic, you undo the characters' last appearances and arguing that the characters must die to make it as their final appearances, although you don't even realize that for example, on Maggie Greene page, on the last appearance section, you don't even undo the last television appearance and you certainly know that when we last time saw her, she was alive. So yeah, make sure first, what do you want to argue, cause what you write back there, doesn't make any sense. Thanks. --Tobi999tomas (talk) 18:18, 3 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Daniel0wellby, that is not at all how WP:PROD works. If you leave the deletion notice there until November 9, the page will be deleted. If you are going to insist on keeping the page the way it is, then that is what will happen. 8.37.179.254 (talk) 18:37, 4 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
I'd argue that a redirect to List of Dungeons & Dragons giant deities#Memnor would be a better choice if this is the path you want to go down that path as it points to information about the character instead of where I assume you were pointing it to before hand the last time — Preceding unsigned comment added by Daniel0wellby (talkcontribs) 19:10, 4 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Jimmy Woo, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. ExcutientTalk 22:46, 29 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Nav Boxes edit

You are welcome. Yes, the more articles I scan the more it becomes a herculean task. Just glancing at Fantastic Four shows what a mess it has become. The more recent and popular entries (eg. Guardians of the Galaxy) are becoming quite fannish. I'll check to see if the Manual of Style states anything, but I suspect it is open to interpretation. An area I'd like to start on is the Cosmics, and apply some "logical pruning". If you have any suggestions I would welcome them (it's like looking out a huge flood plain full of ruins and wondering where to start!). Regards Asgardian (talk) 15:10, 30 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thanks! Could you create an account for yourself? edit

You've probably seen Wikipedia:Why create an account?, but everything it says is true. I wanted to thank you for creating Draft talk:Cthulhu for President‎ , and now see you've really done a lot for RPGs on Wikipedia. Thanks! But when your name is just a string of numbers, that's harder to associate with you. If you made an account, youd get even more gratitude, you could make a user page showing your work, basically establish a persona here. And you'd keep that when your IP address changed. If you're worried about anonymity, you can be far more anonymous behind a user name than behind an IP address - a number of online services, like https://www.ipaddress.com/ will take your IP address and tell everyone your rough geographic location, which a user name would not. It's a good thing, really. --GRuban (talk) 19:46, 9 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Shuma-Gorath in MCU edit

Hello, and may I ask why you reverted the edit?

I know there must be a Reliable source for this, but Shuma-Gorath did appear in Marvel Cinematic Universe's What If...? in the first and fourth episodes as a giant mass of tentacles, the guy who edited the page made a new section at the talk page, even mentioned a reference link that he added: [1] --KeboBulaon (talk) 04:26, 3 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hercules (Marvel Comics) edit

Before you revert my edit to Hercules, take a look at this List of Guardians of the Galaxy members--Mark Rhodes 13 (talk) 22:30, 7 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Well, if he is on a list in another article, that's one thing, but note that list does not cite any sources. Note also that this is the text in the Hercules article: "When Hercules tried to track down his resurrected family, he instead was captured by them. He was freed by the reformed Guardians of the Galaxy. He aided the Guardians in stopping the mad gods, but at the cost of Star Lord's life. Following the battle with Gamora's West Spiral Arm Guardians, Hercules began a relationship with Marvel Boy (Noh-Varr)." Although clearly that spells out that he was an ally of the team, it does not actually say he joined and became a member. If he actually joined and became a member, then this text needs to be edited to reflect that, and if he didn't join the team and become a member then the team should not be included in the infobox. Do you see what I mean? Plenty of characters have been brief allies of superhero teams without actually joining the team and becoming a member; what is the case here, and is the story as written in the comics clear on that? If you like, we could have a wider discussion of this issue on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Comics. 8.37.179.254 (talk) 19:07, 8 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Good to hear! Do you have an answer to my question? ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 21:14, 12 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
I'll think about it! I kind of like being an IP. 8.37.179.254 (talk) 21:15, 12 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Mike Tinney & Ian Marsh (writer) edit

If you post it at WP:ARS like you did here please put {{subst:rescue list|~~~~}} at the deletion discussion. 7&6=thirteen () 14:52, 27 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thank you, sorry about that. 8.37.179.254 (talk) 15:09, 27 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
No harm, no foul But I've taken a lot of flak at the WP:ARS for this. Hopefully we are past that. 7&6=thirteen () 14:43, 29 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I agree, thank you! 8.37.179.254 (talk) 15:03, 29 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

You edited Ed Cox’s page edit

Why did you take out the biographical information that was added to his page? 68.134.207.182 (talk) 00:00, 17 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Because what you added was unsourced. 8.37.179.254 (talk) 15:35, 17 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Elf edit

Accidentally hit submit without filling out the little explanation box. You at least deserve explanation, since it was your edit that was undone.

The demi-humans were not presented as their own classes until the Moldvay/Cook versions of the d&d basic line in 1981. In the original 1974 Men and Magic book, which is the "original" version of d&d, there are only 3 classes: Fighting-Man, Magic-User, and Cleric. The demi-humans are not presented as their own classes, with tables and the like.

From the elf description: "Elves can begin as either Fighting-Men or Magic-Users and freely switch class whenever they choose, from adventure to adventure, but not during the course of a single game." (Men & Magic, page 8). HopefulHyena (talk) 14:27, 28 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Wow, thanks for the explanation, I actually had no idea! 8.37.179.254 (talk) 19:29, 28 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

March 2023 edit

Hello, I'm Seckends. I noticed that you recently removed content from Dungeon crawl without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Seckends (talk) 03:26, 31 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

I absolutely explained why I removed your reference to Pokémon being a dungeon crawl, because it is unsourced. 8.37.179.254 (talk) 13:38, 31 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

April 2023 edit

Hello, I'm M88835. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. M88835 (talk) 22:00, 26 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

OK, I was just moving the content to the talk page, but that's fine if you want to keep it in the article. 8.37.179.254 (talk) 22:02, 26 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

It's not likely to be worth including on the article then, we don't need to list every little easter egg and detail from movies and TV shows. 8.37.179.254 (talk) 21:41, 27 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Brett Sperry External Link Revert edit

I again added Brett Sperry's new website in promotion of his upcoming art show. Please refrain from reverting the page back. There are tools such as whois and wayback machine if you are interested in vetting an external link in the future. Upsetcassette (talk) 22:51, 27 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

November 2023 edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. AntiDionysius (talk) 23:05, 16 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

You Know Who edit

I'm purposefully not tagging him here because he'll purposefully ignore WP:NPA, WP:CIVIL, and other rules to attack us for no reason, but I've already requested help from User:Materialscientist and User:Drmies for help in addressing the Hulk in the room, and I do mean Hulk. I can't promise they'll be able to do anything quickly since they do have lives outside of Wikipedia, but hopefully, this nonsense will be dealt with in the near future. Blazewing16 (talk) 02:15, 17 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

To 8.37.179.254, I apologize for jumping the gun. I acted impulsively. I will try my best to be more careful next time. Blazewing16 (talk) 04:50, 17 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hey there Blazewing, I'll put it this way. Thanks for fighting the good fight, that's important. Some people will fight you over and over until either you give up or they get in trouble. Don't get yourself in trouble along the way, which is all too easy to do when you're trying to do the right thing and wind up going too far. 8.37.179.254 (talk) 15:08, 17 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for the advice. Honestly, as much as I like cleaning up IOM sections, I wouldn't fight back against being blocked myself if only so I can spend more time focusing on my non-Wikipedia life. Speaking of blocking, I'm happy to report that you know who has been blocked for two weeks as of today after starting a fight with a separate editor and that's all I'm going to say publicly on the matter. Blazewing16 (talk) 16:22, 17 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Oh, geez, wow. If he keeps that up, he's only going to make it worse and worse for himself. I'd prefer to see editors rehabilitated than getting themselves on a long-term block. But, in the end, you can't stop someone from doing things to themselves. 8.37.179.254 (talk) 22:16, 17 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Stop saying I'm attacking you. JosephWC (talk) 04:10, 17 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Stop adding trivial non-appearances. Blazewing16 (talk) 04:54, 17 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Can we just part ways? I'm tired of fighting you over nonsense like one sentence. And stop saying i ATTACKED you which i did not. Hey buddy, there are tons of other pages which have the exactly same thing i'm fighting you over, and i dont see you rushing over like a cop to police them on their problems. JosephWC (talk) 04:57, 17 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

November 2023 edit

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this IP address or network has been used to disrupt Wikipedia. It has been blocked from editing to prevent further abuse.
If you are not the intended target of this block, please read the information below in order to receive assistance.
Wikipedia tries to be open, but we sometimes must block IP addresses to prevent editing by abusers, vandals, or block evaders. These blocks can affect users who have done nothing wrong. If you are a legitimate user, follow the instructions below to edit despite the block. Users who are the intended target of a range block may still appeal the block.

IP users (without an account): If you do not have an account and wish to bypass this block, an account can be created to allow you to edit. In general, these blocks only prevent users who are not logged in from editing; once you are logged in, the block will no longer affect you in any way. To request an account, simply click here and follow the directions provided on the page. It is important that you use an e-mail address issued to you by your ISP, school, or organisation, so we may verify that you are a legitimate user. When filling out the account request form, please refer to this block in the "comments" input field. If you've been instructed to request an account via email, please refer to this block in your message.

Registered users (with an account): Please make sure you are logged in to your account. If you are unable to edit while logged in, you may request IP block exemption to bypass blocks unconnected with you that affect your editing. Post an unblock request to your user talk page.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

For the record edit

For the record, I wish to state that I believe I did not do anything wrong, or at least that I have done nothing so wrong as to deserve a highly punitive 3-year block to my IP. I feel that I have had my privileges to edit as an anonymous user eliminated as a matter of convenience. I will not fight it or continue to protest it though, as I do not expect to find any sympathetic ears, and so I merely wish to make this my final statement on the matter. I will find other ways to contribute, although I may fight vandalism less, and help less with minor mistakes and errors. Thank you to everyone here fighting the good fight. 8.37.179.254 (talk) 14:48, 22 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
