January 2019 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. I am glad to see that you are discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Talk:Blue-ringed octopus are for discussion related to improving the article in specific ways based on reliable sources and the project policies and guidelines, not for general discussion about the topic or unrelated topics, or statements based on your thoughts or feelings. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. Thank you. If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
This material also appears to be a copyright violation. See WP:COPYVIO Meters (talk) 08:29, 5 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you use talk pages for inappropriate discussions, as you did at Talk:Longest tiebreaker in tennis. Stop dropping your factoids on the talk pages. If you think your material belongs in the various articles then add it with sources. In the case of this article the material clearly does not belong in the article. let alone on the talk page. Meters (talk) 08:37, 5 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

The talk page is to discuss changes to an article. If you have what you think are useful additions to the article then add the material (with sources) to the article. Don't ask pointless questions, don't keep lists of trivia, don't edit other IPs comments, and don't copy material.. Meters (talk) 09:04, 5 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you make personal attacks on other people, as you did at Talk:Longest tiebreaker in tennis. Comment on content, not on fellow editors. Meters (talk) 20:32, 5 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Stop adding this off topic material to talk pages. Longest tiebreaker in tennis is about the longest tie breaker. The article does not need other trivia about tie breakers, and neither does the talk page. You have been making these talk page edits for a long time, using multiple IPs. Perhaps you should actually try editing an article instead of dumping stuff on the talk pages. Meters (talk) 20:38, 5 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
