C2D category renamings edit

Hi 1857a

Good to see you helping with renaming ambiguously-named categories.

However, please include in your nomination a link to the name of the head article, and a link to the dab page. That makes it massively easier for other editors to scrutinise the nomination.

Thanks. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 23:13, 21 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Apostrophe in article titles edit

Hey, recently noticed you have been moving articles for labor strikes to include a possessive apostrophe, including a few I've started. I made a comment on the WP:LABOR talk page for this, but I'm not sure if this is covered by MOS or not, and if not, maybe this could be discussed and we could create some sort of consensus on the matter? I know with many of the sources I've found on pages that I've made, possessive apostrophes are omitted, though I admit that there seems to be a general inconsistency with sources that discuss strikes. -JJonahJackalope (talk) 17:33, 17 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Tagging pages for deletion edit

Hello, 1857a,

I noticed that you recently tagged some empty categories for deletion and I wanted to thank you for catching those. I saw you used Twinkle to tag them so could you set your Preferences up so that the "Notify page creator" box is checked? Also, if you could go into the CSD settings and make sure every CSD criteria is checked off, that would be great. For some reason, I believe the Twinkle default setting is to only have some criteria selected when it should really be all of them, so that every page creator is notified when pages are tagged for deletion. Many thanks! Liz Read! Talk! 17:56, 3 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Multiple criteria (including C1) were indeed unchecked thanks to Twinkle's default setting, but I have now changed it. Thanks for letting me know. 1857a (talk) 18:15, 3 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

About the "Election summary" series of templates edit

Hey, 1857a! Don't you think it's a bit odd that when you created an overview of a legislative election's results, such as in Special:Diff/957062368 (for 2013 Worcestershire County Council election article), you used templates like "Template:Election summary party", but then ended it with "Template:Election summary net total"?

That latter template, {{Election summary net total}}, is actually a misnomer. It's named as if it'll fit for the columns that {{Election summary net begin}} makes (8 columns, including 2 for the party's color and name), but it's actually written to create a row with 10 columns total (supposedly including the “Gains” and “Losses” columns from the original series).

I made {{Election summary total}} from a redlink, and it supports both use-cases. If |net=yes is on, it'll have only 8 columns. But, by default, it has 10, to serve what the name would imply is its purpose (to end a table that uses the original set). What do you think? —UndueMarmot (talk) 03:02, 7 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Chorki (disambiguation) edit

The article Chorki (disambiguation) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Disambiguation page not required (WP:ONEOTHER). Primary topic article has a hatnote to the only other use.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
