Most of the time I am User:Vchimpanzee. But if I am at a library, it might be a good idea not to sign in with that name (though I haven't been afraid to).

On one of the first social networking sites I joined, there was a Spikeswench, a fan of Spike (Buffy the Vampire Slayer). Someone misread it and called her SpikesWrench. I decided to use the name part-time. But to make sure we weren't confused all my posts included "Shelton Lee's tool box". Not that I was a fan of the director/actor, but I have enjoyed his movies. Here, I can fix things.

And I found a reason to use this name. If you ever get an email from me, it's really Vchimpanzee, who is still using a Yahoo email address.

Never mind. I discovered on one of the Help Desks that I can't use the Yahoo email for anything, so I went ahead and changed it.

I rarely sign in with this name. Let's just call it a name I can use to see how things work if you are not autoconfirmed.

Actually, I have come up with a new use for this name. I find it annoying to see a link to thank people for edits in a history or list of contributions. So my own preferences don't show "thank". With this name, I have no preferences set and I can thank people.
